I was nervous these wouldn't work for my wide feet but they fit like a dream. I loved my speedgoats until I lost feeling in my toes during the Kendal Mountain Run. I wish I had bought these sooner. So excited to use these for the Pikes Peak Ultra. I am trying to sell/use my other shoes ASAP and replace them with Topo Athletic.

OMFG These are amazing! AMAZING! How did I not know Topo even existed before yesterday?! They're so smooth and stable yet retain a fantastic ground feel. Been wearing Altra LonePeaks for years as (I thought) they're the only shoe wide enough for my hobbit feet but these MTN Racers feel, fit and function a lot better! It's like they're snugger and fuller at the same time. They feel PLUSH yet so much still like a minimal shoe. Just love love! I haven't had much time in them yet but I'm hooked!

I use my Mtn Racer 3's for hiking locally with my dogs on dirt trails and in the HIgh Sierra Mtns. These are my 9th pair of Topo's and all of them are amazing! Always look forward to new models and colors. #sweepstakes

I love to explore the rocky single-track trails and fire roads of Marin County, but with the challenge of neuropathy and wide feet it's been challenging to keep my feet comfortable during and after my hikes! The Mountain Racer 3 has just the right balance between cushion and performance- helping me stay agile and keep my footing on rocky terrain. Also, there's something unique about the lacing system and the mid shoe fit that keeps my foot in place and away from the toe of the shoe when I'm going downhill, which can be a problem with other wide toe-box brands. I have even given up wearing custom orthotics since using this shoe- no need. I have tried MANY brands over many years and with the Mountain Racer 3, I feel my search for the perfect shoe is over. A few more color choices would be nice since I've gone through all the existing colors at this point! I hope they never change this design! Karen #sweepstakes

I broke these shoes in with a few hikes of 8-10 miles before setting out on a 20 mile trail/gravel road Sunday run. Absolutely no complaints. I have worn the usual shoes, but needed a good trail shoe with more cushion due to a bipartite sesamoid that gets aggravated by traditional wide toe box low cushion shoes. I'm looking forward to many more miles in these!

New to Topo's and there Mtn racer 3 and loved them. This is my first pair of cushion, roomy trail shoes. Always worn Sportivas mainly for there stiff sole and hard toe cup but not always comfortable on long runs. I just got them two weeks ago and did a 12 mile trail race with plenty off hills and technical parts. The tread was amazing. No slipping in the mud and gripped both up and down hill. My feet were happy after the race mainly because I didn't feel the trail do to the cushion. My only disappointment was that the mango color is no longer do to the mud. Looking into the road shoes next.

Love the cushioning and the grip. My trails are a combination of crushed rock and stone. These shoes cruise on the flats and offer plenty of protection when things get rocky.

I wear Topo MTN Racer 3, and Hoka Speedgoat 5, for trail running here in CO. Between the two, I prefer the Mtn Racer 3. My toes lay flat in the toe box, and the cushion is plush enough to be comfortable over long runs, and still be aware of the terrain. To me the best feature is the stability of Topo. I use the Topo Ultra Fly for cross training. Great shoes!

I have run about 1K in the Ultraventure 3 shoes and now I purchased the MTN Racer 3 and it has a similar feel with a little less cushion, but I feel that it offers better traction and grip than the Ultraventure. "#sweepstakes" Thanks, Mike

This is my first pair of Topos, seen them around, heard the name, never owned now I do and I'm 100% in love with this shoe. The fit, the comfort going over rough terrain, the kick-ass tread. I'm blown away by how fantastic these shoes are.. I'm sold.

This is my first running shoe in 30 years that was not a New Balance 990. Old habits die hard. This shoe is amazing! Great grip, comfortable sole and, oh, that toe box. I feel like I can run again.

I live in the Sangre de Christo Mountains of Santa Fe, NM. I'm a daily hiker, backpacker and overseas trekker. I've owned 4 pairs of Altra Lone Peak, but not more. The Topo Athletics Mountain Racer 3 for my purposes are superior in every way. I love the Vibram Megagrip soles, the solid platform and grippy traction they provide. The wide toe box allows plenty of room for my toes to spread out. To my mind the design is clean and functional, unlike Hoka, which I won't wear, because they look like clown shoes. I've recieved no less than 25 compliments about the appearance of the shoes, on the trail and on the street, since purchasing them several weeks ago. That's never happened before, never. Last summer I backpacked in Iceland with the Trailventure WP and they didn't disapoint. I'd also like to try the Zero Drop Pursuit. I'm a Topo Athletic fan-boy now. Thanks!

The MTN RACER 3 is a wonderful update to a already wonderful shoe. Topo updated the shoe with a little extra toe box room and added some extra cushioning which is great. The traction is still unrivaled.

I bought these based on an irunfar review after having a very disappointing experience with Hola Speedgoats. Basically the speedgoats gave me no traction on wet rocks despite their reviews. I took a leap on buying Topo as I had never heard of the brand before I read the review. And I am blown away. Went on a wet 12 mile trail run over slick New England rocky terrain right out of the box. Grip was excellent, just what I was hoping for. Roomy toe box, love the fit, overall really impressed. #sweepstakes

Perfect! I couldn't be happier with these shoes. Hiked the Inca trail in Peru with absolutely no pain in my toes, which had been a problem with hiking boots in the past. Wish they came in more colors, I'd buy another pair. Love them!!

Took these out of the box for a 10 mile run/hike with a few thousand of vert. The shoes performed great - not the fastest feeling but for training miles and longer runs/races these are perfect. Was impressed with the midsole feel and responsiveness. Also the grip was top notch and very confidence inspiring. Lockdown was a little tricky on the downhills but found using all the lace holes and snugging up a bit worked good for me. For people like me with a normal heel into a wider forefoot they fit excellent. Excited to put more miles on these.

Purchased yesterday @ MTN Chalet. Trail running today @ Ute Valley Park. Use: Trail running 3-6 mi. per week + 14er hikes up to 15 mi. RT, Class 1-3 + treadmill @ gym. These are replacing my TA Terraventure 3. The TV3 has been great for the same use, but I'm older (mid-60s) and want more cushioning. The MTN Racer 3 (MR3) fits the bill. The wide toe box, Vibram, overall fit, and durability are key. Hoka are too narrow for my wide forefoot. Comments I hear: Altras aren't as good.
