I've loved this product since version 4. It has become progressively more narrow and this version wouldn't fit even a full size up. I had to switch to the Lone Peaks for now. This has left me scrambling to find other zero-drop, low-stack height brands. Why change a good thing?

I never write reviews. I'm highly disappointed in the Superior 6. I loved the Superior 5 so much, they were perfect, why oh why did you change them?. The 6 has a very odd tightness to them on the pinky toe side with a seam that digs and hurts your foot. I ran two miles in them and was afraid I was going to get injured. Luckily I found some 5s elsewhere on line and stocked up. Please please consider looking at this design- it just got bad.

Another reviewer got it right "toe box is wide, but very shallow, much more so than superior 5. This makes it feel tight on the toes. There is enough width, but no height, making it super uncomfortable" also there is much less stretch than the 5s. Yet another recent altra update making the shoe crazy uncomfortable. company's gotta remember the reason so many of us buy altras is because of our wide or otherwise troubled feet. Will have to buy the 5s elsewhere online and hope the 7s are an improvement.

Toe box seemed wide enough, but much too shallow. These were unwearable because my toes were squished. Please give us back the toe room we had in the 5s!!

I bought these last min for a grass volleyball tournament. They’re my first foot-shaped shoe and I was so excited to try these- I had a major foot injury so now I’m really picky about shoe comfort- plus I always get blisters during tournaments. When I got them I was worried they were too tight over the top of my foot, and was considering sizing up, but didn’t have time to exchange them. I am so glad I stuck with these. They ended up being perfect! I played all day in them and didn’t have any blisters or discomfort. They’re cute too! Would definitely buy again!

I have been used this shoes for a while and let me tell you that if you have bunions you have to buy them they are very comfortable and enough space for your bunion you can have long walks and no pain

I have the Escalante 3, the Solstice XT 2, and now the Superior 6. I love each of them for different reasons. These fit slightly smaller than the Escalante or the Solstice in the same size (I'm usually an 8 across the board). I can definitely run in them, but I might size up a half size especially if I were wearing thicker/merino wool socks. They are light and have excellent tread. The zero drop is perfect for an aspiring barefoot-shoe-wearer like me. They have a decent amount of cushion, but still allow for ground feel. I received mine in exchange for an honest review, but I would absolutely buy them again both for hiking and trail running.

I like this shoe. I have several pairs of Altra I wear at different times and this is a good walking shoe. However, it runs a half size small and I can only wear these with summer/thin socks.

I've gone through several different shoes in the past year in my journey to find a workable solution to my changing feet. The Superior 6 has been amazing. Let me say that my feet are long and narrow [Lone Peaks feel too wide] with semi-high arches but low volume. So I bought the Superiors based on people's statements that this shoe is tight in the midfoot/too narrow. They are perfect for me! Just enough cushion with good flexibility so I can feel the ground without bulk but also not get sore feet. After a week or two of break in I never want to take them off! I don't run, I'm wearing these as a daily shoe.

I have the Superior 5 and use them as golf shoes. They have great traction and are very comfortable on the course! I want to order another pair for everyday wear. I sized up 1/2 a size just for a little more room and they are perfect

i wear insoles that cost well over 200 bucks ... so i love the ease of finding shoes with insoles i can remove to put in my doc approve insoles to keep my back, and over all health in tip top shape. what i wish to say ... thank you to whomever in the Zappos family who tied my shoes a way i never imagined ... well done. i am changing up all of my Altra shoes now to reflect this shoe lace genuis idea. thank you again!! well done. amazing how 1 of thing can change your shoe health completely. so awesome!! i think i have 7 pairs of Altra now. all different, different colors and they are or do feel so different when wearing them. love them for all different reason. i think they are cool and i get lots of questions about them. glad a hiking friend suggested them to me as a brand. must try. i know they are $$$ but worth the cost.

I love these shoes. Ample toe box. They are solid on my feet but don't swallow my ankle bones. Good traction. Soles wear well. They are available in low-key colors and they are pretty easy to clean.

i love Altra ... i have two pairs now, find their colors so interesting ...the other ones is a "Lone Peak 7", which to me this one is holding up a bit differently ...maybe due the tongue having one side connect to the shoe, maybe i could adjust the shoe strings on the Lone Peak 7 to help with that, i will have to try that soon. hope that make sense ...but when the tongue can move around a bit verse this "Superior 6" style which ones the tongue in place it is way awesome. i really can't get over how comfortable they are. such a newbie fan.

I gave a negative review of the Superior 6 model and it really was a different shoe from the past. I'm thrilled to report that I went to a local outdoor and climbing store and tried on a couple of different Altras. The feel and fit of the Lone Peak 8 was fantastic. I bought my usual size and I am so happy. Please keep making this model with the perfect toe box and roomy feel in the front of the shoe, Altra. For these of us with wide feet you are the BEST!

I like these sneakers, I am really starting to focus on foot care and it's nice to have a nice stylish sneaker with a good toe box. I'd recommend these and will by again.

I have been using these shoes for running and walking for the past 5 weeks, and it supports my feet so well. I was thinking of buying something else for my daily running before I got introduced to these shoes and now I am enjoying it daily. It supports my heels really well and also looks really good. I haven't had issues so far with this shoe so I can not say cons for it.

I bought these for a grass volleyball tournament I was playing in. I was very apprehensive to keep these because they felt too tight around the top of my toes, but didn’t have enough time to exchange before I needed them, so I decided to just go with them and they worked amazingly!! No blisters after hours of playing in them, the treads were great and they ended up being a perfect fit! These are my first “foot shaped” sneakers and I won’t be looking back!

The Altra WOMEN'S SUPERIOR 6 shoe is my favorite! I have used it numerous times running and walking on pavement, gravel, dirt, as well as rugged and smooth terrain in the woods. The shoe is ultra-comfortable, lightweight, flexible, and breathable. The sole provided the perfect amount of grip when the ground was wet, uneven, or under less-than-ideal outdoor conditions. It is so stylish, I find myself wearing it everywhere. I have gotten countless complements from family, friends, and strangers alike. Five stars!

Was always looking to try some barefoot shoes, not sure if these would qualify for barefoot but they fit very good and comfortable. It takes a bit to adjust but are similar to Hoka just a more nicer design.
