I am a marathon runner and have worn the Nimbus shoes for a few years now, I have absolutely loved them! I've always dealt with achilles tendonitis, so the 13mm heel drop of the 23 & 24 models was a complete game changer for my long distance running. I bought these without checking the measurement since it has stayed consistent in previous models. I felt discomfort in my achilles after my first run, and when I looked up the measurements I came to find out that the 25s have a heel drop of 8mm, a 5mm difference from the prior models! I have been experiencing achilles pain ever since wearing these shoes, and that is even after I have put heel lifts in them. I definitely would not recommend these to anyone who deals with achilles problems or plantar faciitis. I am so bummed because I thought the Nimbus' were my forever shoe, but after this change I'm afraid I will no longer be purchasing them.

A few observations after 10 days of all day wear -- Compared to my last 2 pairs of Nimbus 23's these are (1) HUGE (especially in a size 10) -- both taller (fits higher up on ankle) & longer (almost an inch of sole sticks out in back beyond the footbed); (2) bigger footbed than the same size in the Nimbus 23, such that my socks slip down my heel; (3) very cushioned feel with a rocking motion as you walk; (4) aggravating my posterior tibial tendon significantly (with no other changes in activities, etc.). I cannot return them now since I wore them in the house but I would if I could, given the worst arch pain I've had in 3 years started when I began wearing these. I can understand why people love them but buyer beware that they may have unexpected issues with the new Nimbus.

Full disclosure: I just got these today and until I wear them on my 12-hr nursing shift I can't give a full review. That said, just putting them onOMG! The tongue area is cushioned, the collar area is cushioned, the inside is cushioned, just to name a few things. Walking on them is sooo comfortable I can't wait to see how they do at work. I'd love the pretty turquoise color in women's but if I really like these I can do one of the other blue ones as well.

I put in a lot of miles walking neighborhood sidewalks. The new Nimbus is a great antidote to walking on concrete. My feet were starting to hurt in my Glycerins, which I otherwise really like. The Nimbus 25s don't feel like they propel you forward as much and have more stability than I'm used to as a neutral wearer. Comfortable and very grateful to have these in the mix.

I have moved between Saucony and Asics for over 30 years and i always recommended them to my clients with foot, knee, and hip issues. Recently I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis that affected my feet in a horribly painful way, so I had to find something with a lot of cushion, and I mean a lot because I am determined to walk to keep as much mobility as I possibly can and my muscles in shape.
About six months ago I ordered the most cushioned HOKAs after seeing many nurses in the ER wearing them. Like nurses, I am in shoes for over 12 hours a day. I wasn't disappointed, but after wearing them for a period of time I knew I needed to find a different brand because they were too costly for the time they lasted. ...in came ASICS again.
I've had these ASICS for a few months now and must say, they are fabulous!!! My feet have never been so happy!!! They are everything I needed to help me battle the complications of having MS. MS can be debilitating, but with ASICS I won't give in or give up walking!!!
I have only one issue - the cost, they are as expensive as the HOKAs. Of course, they are worth it, but I wish ASICS would offer a discount for disabled people. Many of us cannot work, are on SSDI, SSI, or need help with covering the costs of helpful products such as these shoes.
That said, I simply cannot believe how much better my feet feel in these shoes! THANK YOU ASICS, IMO, YOU ADDED MANY HAPPY YEARS TO MY LIFE.

This feel pillow-soft on the feet. I was instantly in love when I tried them on. And I still was enjoying them after about two weeks/40 miles. But as of late, I've been finding them too loose. My feet slide around in the shoe while I am running. I have a new blister after almost every run and its painful on my toes when I am running downhill because my feet are sliding forward. I am loathe to go buy a new pair of shoes when these still have so much life left in them, but I can't keep running in them.

This shoe fit great. But, because of the sole where it meets the heel, the sole extends way too far past the heel
and gets caught on the carpeted open steps in this house. So for me, they are not safe BUT they are very very
comfortable and beautifully constructed. The best I have seen in a while!!!
I'd also recommend:

I’ve been wearing Gel Nimbus for years and years. They’ve been my “go-to” running shoe and I am SO disappointed in these. They feel too big and too wide…WHY mess with a good thing and change the shoe? It doesn’t even feel like the same running shoe. Sending back. Please bring back the old Gel Nimbus!!!

This is the best running shoe on the market. I have bought 4 pair this year. I alternate between them. I run more than 100 miles a month.

These shoes are amazing. I have rheumatoid arthritis and they are fantastic. I could not keep up with my toddlers without their support and cushion. The have the solid foam support like Hokas which support my joints but also a gel layer which helps with my foot pain. The tab on the back is soft and stretchy so even when my hands hurt I can still get the shoes on.

Great shoe for running 3-5 miles a day and beyond as well as an everyday shoe. Very cushioned but does not feel like you're walking/running in quicksand like my Bondi 8s. Also felt much lighter and bouncier. No knee or hip pain and very durable. I am a neutral runner. Love the update to this shoe.

This is my new favorite shoe! The new version (Nimbus 25) is a huge improvement in many ways over the previous version (Nimbus 24). This new version has reduced heel drop which eases the pressure off of the forefoot (old version pushed me onto my toes and caused pain in the ball of my foot). This new version is more cushy and has a pull tab at the heel to make it easy to get the shoe on. I am very happy that there are some fun colors in the Wide version. I ordered the silver/purple in size 8 Wide. I sized up one whole size from my regular shoe size. I have high arches and I am a heel striker. I like that ASICS is making a high quality shoe to help those with high arches and underpronation. This shoe is very stable with a big footprint that makes it feel safe on uneven pavement. This shoe also has a lot of reflective details, which is very important to me.

I wear a 9.5 in brooks (9 in vionic sandals and oofos sandals) and I love these Asics!!! I never would have tried these on if not for a fleet feet store. These are very soft, cushy and so incredibly comfortable! Exactly what these tired and achy feet needed! I'm a fan! I also love the pull tab on the back to help slip them on (my thumb fits right into it) and the extra stretchy tongue of the shoe.
I'd also recommend:
Brooks ,oofos and vionic

These are good for long easy runs, but not good for speed work. Love ASICS, but found these to be more orthopedic. I have a torn meniscus and knee pain so this helps. The toe box also seems small....The sole of the shoe is too thick.

When my husband saw these shoes he said I could walk on water because it looks like I'm wearing two boats. These shoes are enormous and are very different from the last Asics GEL Nimbus I bought. They feel at least a half size longer and the toe box is so much bigger. In fact , they feel wider than normal for Asics in general. I keep tightening the laces too much to make up for it and then my feet feel squished. I've been wearing Asics for years and these are very different than normal. They are comfortable and feel very cushioned. I was having a bit of pain in my knees and ankles on my treadmill as my old Asics were losing support and that pain is gone so that's a plus. It's just that I feel like they look absurd and the fit is so different. I've already tossed the box so I guess I'm keeping them. I don't love them, though, and wouldn't recommend them if you've been wearing Asics a long time and expect each new model to be at least somewhat similar to the previous one.

Size was fine. The styling is over the top. I have had Gel Nimbus previous versions and always loved them. This version’s sole/heel is way too inflated. The shoes look blown up:(
Sadly I need to find a new shoe since the Nimbus has been redesigned.

I bought my usual Asics shoe size 8.5 and these seemed to be a half size too small. Other than that they're soft and comfortable but not sure they're worth the hype

Love the shoes but unfortunately a size 10 was too small and narrow across the toe box and a 10.5 was too big to where I was getting blisters from my foot sliding with every step. Have to return them.

I absolutely LOVE these shoes! I was a Brooks Glycerin girl for about the past 8 years. I recently developed plantar fasciitis and a heel spur and can no longer wear my Brooks. I went to my local shoe store and she recommended the Asics Gel Nimbus 25 and I immediately fell in love! It's literally like walking on 2 inches of gel! I am a nurse, on my feet 12hrs a day and these are the only shoes I can wear now! I just ordered a second pair, and I'm hoping Asics doesn't change the style! I have a high arch, and I was looking for heel cushioning.

The ONLY Shoe you'll need ! I have Bunion pain, Metatarsal pain and Hip pain. This Shoe allows me to be on my feet "ALL DAY", without pain. This purchase was a game changer for me. I went up a half size, for extra room in the toe box area.

Best work shoes for nursing. I have a problem with my heel, it hurts so badly when I work. I find myself limping on the following days but when I wear these shoes it supplies so much support I do not have theses issues.

The shoes are well made and look exactly like the photo online. They have a very comfortable fit with a cushioned insole, that makes distance walking very easy on the feet.
