I purchased for my husband who tends to run cold. He is very happy and warm. I selected it from Forbe's recommendations. Besides the warmth, it is very stylish for its purpose.

I've been wearing this coat for a about a month now and I am very satisfied. The coat fits well, looks good, and is light yet quite warm. The coat this one replaced was a Canada Goose which was quite a bit more expensive and yet I think the Arc'teryx coat is better. The Arc'teryx is lighter but just as warm, fits better, and the zipper isn't always jamming as the Canada Goose zipper did.

I am really pleased with this parka. I have only had it a few weeks, but I have been wearing it in Norway down to about -10 and feeling warm. According to the sizing guide I should've been a medium, but I found the sizing on the big side, so ended up sizing down to the small which fits perfectly even with a thick jumper underneath.

Looking forward to wear this during the rainy cold days and travel overseas. Design is very sleek, ordered a small for a slim fit on warmer days, previously ordered a medium to add on additional layers for the snow days. Very warm.

Great coat! I bought this coat because I needed an every day parka for all types of Canadian weather (wind, rain, freezing rain, snow and just plain cold). So far so good. I've had it for almost a month and have experienced everything except severe cold. One more test to go - severe cold. But I'm sure it will do the job! The fit is good with a little extra room through the body for layering or a nice warm hoodie. Love the storm hood and cuffs inside the sleeves. The shell is soft and fairly noise free. Highly recommend this coat.

I wanted a smart but robust parka to keep me warm and deal with the cold and rain in Scotland. This is the perfect solution. It fits big so went with Medium when I might normally be a large. Medium fits generously. Highly recommend.

This thing is beautiful. It's good for 40 and 50 weather and if it gets any colder, it's easy to layer up underneath

Had it for a few weeks. I really like this parka. The size is as mentioned large, so go down one size. For the climate around here in Norway it is perfect. Rain and snow every other day. My new favourite for every day use.

I bought this Parka several weeks ago because I live in a very wet and cold. I can say that the quality of the garment's material is impressive. I love it. Very warm and waterproof in tough outdoor use. Nevertheless, I finally have returned it. Because the fit does not like me but it is a personal preference (other people can manage it, I think). My height is 1,85 and my weight is 75kg so I chose S size. I believe that it was right for me. But the parka is ample by its own characteristic features. I prefer something is tigher. For this reason, I will buy the Beta Insulated Jacket, I will try it. Thanks. Greetings.

I'm 5'10 185 lbs - 33/34 sleeve and the medium fits great. The test of how warm it is will be this weekend with sub zero temps in Vermont. My only issue is the pockets should have fleece and warm material around the part that zips up over your face (maybe fleece)?

Less value for dollar but still an excellent jacket. Some changes may catch Arcteryx fans off guard with respect to sizing which is following a trend of growing to accommodate larger body types. If youve ever been in between sizes definitely size down to the smaller one. The older Atoms and Protons hug my body in a size large at my current 210 and 5'10 but in THIS coat, a Medium fits perfect with still enough room for layering. I like the subdued style, minimal badging, fabric lined hand pockets and the slightly more accommodating exterior chest pocket - while snug for a large Samsung Ultra phone, it will fit without feeling or looking awkward. I wish they had more and better placed buttons towards the top of the coat near the collar. I also notice that the Amount of fill inside the coat is noticeably less than previous Therme's. This coat does not feel as warm as the previous generation but I like the changes enough that they did make to keep this. I find myself layering normally anyway in winter months and too much fill made things too hot but if you really wanted the utmost warmth (and added length) that is why the SV version exists which replaces the older Thorsen.

Bought this jacket after looking at a few others in the same price range. It's warm, waterproof and looks good on me. Massive in size but I'm not the slimmest so it's great for me. I bought a medium and I'm 5'10. Before buying this I was looking at a Canada goose but this jacket is so understated and it's proper waterproof so it's a better buy for someone who wants style and substance over showing off a patch on your arm.

Had the previous Therme and I like the revision. Some folks don't like the soft outer material on the update but I prefer it over the more ridged feeling outer. The new Therme is much lighter weight and has better maneuverability. It does run quite large and I probably could've gotten away with going down a size but I'm going to keep the XXL so I can wear heavier layers underneath. All in all a great parka and I am super happy with it. The only gripe is the hood is quite oversized.

Purchased the medium and, similar to other reviewers, I found it ran slightly large so I ordered the small. The small had a slimmer fit (I'm 5'11 155 pounds) that looked good with nothing in my pockets. However, it looked horrible once you put gloves in the pockets--just no room. So, I decided to keep the medium, which still looks great and has plenty of room to put things in your pockets. I think the only thing missing on this coat is a waist cinch to keep drafts from coming up and in.

I was torn between the Therme and the Therme SV for the fact that the SV was longer, however, went I got a chance to try this on at the Arc'teryx Boston store, I quickly realized that this jacket is MUCH longer than the images suggest. I'm 5'10 and 200lbs and went with the XL for a bit more oversized feel this jacket is below mid-thigh for me. Trying on the Therme SV and it was past my knees which was way too long for me. With that out of the way, I am so impressed by how lightweight this jacket is significantly lighter than some competitor's top down jackets yet somehow maintains its warmth. It's sleek and modern, but best of all, waterproof thanks to its GORETEX. I noticed people complaining about the zipper, however, it's INCREDIBLY easy to zip up, and the dual-zipper function is fantastic to use. This jacket is almost perfect for the daily city commuter, but I only have a couple of nitpick-y comments on features I wished it had. Number one being that I wish it had a thumb hole to provide a little bit of warmth in the hands. Second is some additional pockets on the inside of the jacket. Lastly, the hood is a little strange to me as I wish it had a bit more structure and extended out a bit more from the face to help on windy days.

This parka is everything I was looking for. Walked around in freezing windy conditions with just a tshirt on and I couldn't even feel the windchill. I look forward to the NyC weather now in February and March. I tried on the small in store and it was huge. Bought the xs online and am pleased with the fit. Chose the bitters color and it is a luscious brown not burgundy at all and I like that. Important jacket measurements: 18.5" shoulder seam to seam and the sleeve to shoulder is 25 1/4". I don't know why the website isn't this specific. For reference I am 5'9" 150lbs and rarely use xs in anything, usually a small. Love this brown color because it is a great contrast to my blues, olives, and greys but fits right in. You want a commuter parka then you want this!
