This shirt arrived and felt beautifully hefty and soft. The red color was too dark for my taste. It was like a bright red shirt had been washed with some raw denim jeans. Construction was excellent. Workmanship what you expect from Bean. I ordered a medium and fit into mediums in every shirt, coat, and top. This shirt had me swimming in it. I washed and dried it hoping it would shrink, but no luck there. Back to the seller I'm afraid.

Ordered for my husband. He wanted a heavy weight cotton shirt like the ones he has & needs to replace. These are supposedly heavy weight but are not close to the ones he's got.

The color and material of this shirt were good, however the sleeves and shirttail were extremely long requiring tailor alterations.

I have been wearing LLB chamois shirts for years and have never been disappointed. Until recently! I am now aware, and verified by Customer Service, that the sizing has changed. The shirts have the same size body but the sleeves are now way to long. Kind of an XLG sleeve on a LG body! Customer Service claims the new sizing is to allow the garment to be worn as an over-shirt. I did not order an over-shirt and the catalog did not explain this CHANGE well. I will now take the ride to South Windsor, CT and hopefully make an even exchange. Trying each shirt on before checking out is now a must.

When these heavyweight Chamois flannel shirts came out, I first bought 2 in solid colors. They started out a little stiff, and I figured they'd soften up with a few washings. Unfortunately, they did not. So I'd recommend paying a few bucks more for the plaid Chamois shirts, which are made from the same pattern as the solid ones but not the same fabric. I have 6 or 7 of the plaid shirts and they start out softer than the solids, and only get more comfortable with each washing.

I think LLBean sizing has changed. Tall is HUGE and Regular is Big

Fantastic and thick fabric. Horrific sizing. The sleeves are super wide in the arms and the overall shirt length is extremely long. I bought a small. My typical size is a medium (38-40 chest; 15-15.5in neck; 32-33in sleeve; overall length 26-28 in). This shirt is longer by approximately 3-4in.

Bought this shirt for my husband , I washed according to directions It shrunk 3 sizes !!!

I have been buying your Chamois Shirts for five years now. I just received my last one today. It feels tighter than the ones I have. I have been buying an XL shirt for years. All fit fine to me because I like to layer a few shirts on underneath. I can't say that I can do it with the lastest one I have purchased. Not much freedom of movement. I am little surprised about that. I tried on one I have purchased last year and there is a significant difference in the roominess. What is going? I noticed the tag that it is now Made in Sri Lanka. Why are you raising prices while finding a country in Asia to have them made? They were perfect when made in El Salvadore. I am a little disappointed. Is the quality control gone down? I'm sorry to sound so harsh but I love your shirts. Now if I were to write a review a year ago, this chamois shirt would have received five stars. I hope I can do that again in the future.

My husband has worn your chamois shirts for years. However, we do not care for the fabric that is in this shirt. It is not as smooth as the previous shirt we purchased and it catches lint when laundered. I would have returned it, but I laundered it before I realized the difference.

I thought this men's shirt might work for me, a woman, but the fit was wrong and the fabric was too stiff.

Great shirt but runs very large, I'm 6 ft 250lbs and the xl is too big on me, that's first .

I finally bought one of these and it is not worth it. I have some old chamois shirts from Cabelas and they are thicker, roomier, warmer, and they also have the "double stitched seams" that they brag about on here. I will buy more of them from the big auction site even though they are used, before I buy another one from LL Bean.

Cheap lightweight fabric compared to the same style and brand shirt from years past.

It was not a good fit. Size large usually fits me well but this was so large it was very baggy. Also, the color looked different in the picture

I bought this shirt for my husband as he has the exact same shirt (large) from several years ago and he loves it. Well, the Dark Lagoon color was not the same color as several years ago and the large size was way too big, so I had to send it back and exchange it for a medium. The two shirts were made in two different countries, but a size should be standard along with the advertised color!

Absolutely enormous. I'm 6'1" 200lbs and a size large was wayyyyyyy too big. But the sleeves were the correct the length, so a size smaller still wouldn't have worked either. Frustrating. The build seemed to be very good quality. too bad LL Bean can't seem to be consistent in their sizing.

Fit, fabric and fabric weight were exactly what I was looking for.

For me, the pocket flaps make the pockets mostly unusable! Therefore the shirt is also. For many decades I've carried pencils and notes in my left shirt pocket, thus the flap on that side has to be propped up - not convenient for use, and not a good fashion statement either! Otherwise, shirt is comfortable and warm.

Not as soft as I'd expect, and it is ENORMOUS. Like wearing a furry tent. Has to be at least two, maybe three sizes bigger than you would expect off the rack. Borderline comedy

This is a well made, sturdy shirt that is well suited to outdoor labor. However, it is cut for a large person and gives the overall impression of someone working in a mine or factory.

I've been buying this shirt for years. Until now, it is one of the best heavy weight shirts but it is now cut far too long. I'm returning the one I received in the mail today and hope that L.L. Bean addresses this flaw.

A few years ago I purchased a large men's Chamois Shirt Traditional Fit for my husband. It fit him perfectly then and still does. For Christmas this year I purchased 2 more thinking they would be a sure thing. Unfortunately, they were very large...an extra large size. Had to send them back which is always a hassle. Wouldn't know if a Medium would fit him and don't want to pay to take the chance.
