I have ordered these for a long time. Mostly deep green til that went away. But what used to last me for the entire cold season for 2-3 years, now has lose virtually all the 'flannel feel' quite quickly. When we wash cool, we find that the drain lint trap is FULL and then the drier lint trap is full. Time to try to find another place for my flannel shirts. If LLB can get back the original fabric that survives washing, Id recommend it in a flash and rate it a 5 star

Fit could be slightly roomier. True downside is that the pocket is way too shallow. Wont hold a pen or cigar, much less a cellphone. I cant believe these pockets are not designed to hold an iphone and mine is an iPhone 7 ! Baaaad!

I've been wearing LLbean chamois shirts for over 30 years, and I've owned dozens. I still have one that's at least that old, although it is now a painting shirt, it didn't show significant wear for probably 10 years. The newer shirts however don't stand up to the test of time. They loose their chamois look/feel in one season (fall to spring). I wash them in cold water and hang dry. By chance, I looked at the label in the 30y/o shirt and found it was made in USA. The newer ones in my closet are made El Salvador or Nicaragua. They fit nice, they look nice, just a lower quality fabric.

NOT THE SAME AS THEY USED TO BE..
1. RUN SMALLER
2. FUZZ UP AND FADE MORE THAN THEY USED TO (I KNOW I HAVE HAD MANY)
3. FIT GETS SOMEWHAT IRREGULAR AFTER A COUPLE OF WASHES
4. THE MATERIAL IS NOT THE SAME.
5. SINCE THEY RUN SMALLER NOW, WHERE WOULD i NOW BUY ONE THAT FITS WELL?
LLBEAN YOU USED TO BE BETTER THAN THIS.

What happened to old red, medium and light blue, orange, yellow, chamois, brown, dark green, black, etc etc??
Or pink even! These were the colors this shirt is known for. Who wants to buy drab, boring colors in a FLANNEL SHIRT, for Pete's sake!!
Hey Bean! It's ok to be colorful -- you could be known far and wide for your colors. People could be saying, " Hey there's a Bean shirt!"

Good guality shirt !Shoulders and arm length fit good for an XL shirt however tails of the shirt are way to long! This was a regular fit shirt and not a tall!

After reading the reviews, I expected the new shirt might be larger than the old style, but I ordered Regular Large again, thinking too large is better than too small. I'm glad I did. The shirt is 1" longer than my old ones, I/2 inch longer in the sleeves, but most troubling, 2 inches narrower in the chest laid over my old shirts (so 4" less fabric in body ). I'm debating returning it for that reason. My old Bean's shirts were all made in USA, this one in Nicaragua.

These are great shirts but the long size is much too long for me. Other LL Bean shirts in a large long are better proportioned.

Been using LLBean Chamois shirts for years. I use them as an overshirt due to aircon at work. Over the years I note that the wear of the flannel keeps declining AND the problems noted elsewhere regarding erratic fit get worse. I have to keep the cuffs folded as arms are often too long, AND the lint trap on the washer and drier keep getting more full. When the shirt is 'fluff bare' and not very warm, it stops. (Have noted the same problem with LLB flannel sheets recently.)
Other problem is that the options keep shrinking. For years there were perhaps 10-12 colors in solid and plaid and now there really are very few. I noted that the long standing Forest Green and Black Watch plaid are GONE but not from other sellers. Coasting on reputation?

I think this shirt was meant to be worn over a heavy fisherman's sweater. It is much too big to be a normal large. If you are planning to wear it over a T shirt or even a flannel shirt stepping down a size might work better.

This shirt is soft and very well-made, just like you'd expect from LL Bean, however, the sizing is way off. My husband always wears an XL. This shirt was huge. It fit more like a 2 or 3XL. He was absolutely swimming in it. He loved it though, so I'll be returning it to order a smaller size.

I have been wearing these shirts for years and have always loved them ... BUT ... I think that they must have a different supplier. The fabric is basically the same wonderful fabric ... BUT ... the length is ridiculous! It comes down to the middle of my thighs! I haven't shrunk and my weight hasn't changed but the shirt tails extend below my back pockets and it is virtually impossible to even consider "tucking" it in my pants

Fabric thins out over a short time. The nap becomes thinner. Does not clean well even with minor stains, the color fades.

I already own the same shirt in 2 other colors so ordering this shirt seemed easy as I ordered the same size. It's way wider and longer so I think they mislabeled it. Returning it. Actual shirt, when fitted properly is awesome.

Quality of these shirts has declined over the last ten years. For $55.00 a piece,I expect better quality from LL Bean.

The shirt itself is very nice, but the sizes on this particular shirt seem to run large. I orderd a small and it is too large, so I will be returning it. I have a Bean flannel shirt size small and it fits fine.

I was torn on the rating as I love this shirt. My only beef is that the buttons end too high. I've ordered Tall to get the extra button (below the waist) but have to live with a lot of extra length. It's meant to be a bit baggy for comfort, mobility, and layered dress. I use mine as a shirt-jac occasionally. I've been wearing these for over 40 years. As I've experienced, they're extremely durable, very wind resistant, and warm. Normal length stays tucked in ok, but needs another button to keep it closed and secure. This could easily be a 5-star shirt for me, like so many LLB products.

Love the feel and material of the shirt. Had purchased at least 10 of the LL Bean chamois shirts for my husband in the past and he wore out all of them. Wanted to get him a replacement shirt for his birthday, but this shirt was about 8 inches too long. The quality of LL Bean clothing is the best. Just wish you could offer a shorter version of this shirt (like you have a special tall size available), so shorter men can wear them.

I like the shirt, however, the sizing runs extremely large. It's warm, durable, and feels comfortable. I bought it to be an everyday shirt that I wear tucked into pants. I always wear a large and have never worn anything smaller in my adult life. I ordered a large and the shirt is massive. I now wear it as a layer over a true large.

I have several of these shirts going back 40 years. The older ones have styling that fits an outdoor shirt. The newer ones have dress shirt details that look out of place. This fabric is quite thick so why are the tails so long? You cannot tuck it in and be comfortable, And it cannot be worn not tucked without looking like a slob. The cuff and back pleats are now dress shirt style, not the sport shirt style of older ones. I hope we don't see button down collars next. I have hemmed the tails on a couple of mine with good results.

The shirt has nice material and appears to be well-made.
However it took over two months for delivery which was frustrating. Also, large is normally a very good fit, but this seems to be slightly bigger so is a little baggy.

Soft, great styling, but LARGE! My husband looked like he was playing dress-up. Sadly, I can't re-order as they don't make Tall shirts in a small. Bummer.

It is a beautiful shirt, but the sleeves are too long ! On the regular XXL, sleeve length should be 2 inches shorter than on the XXLT model. 35/36 max. You surely have heard this complaint from other customers.

I bought myself a chamois shirt for Christmas as I've always wanted one. I wear a 15-1/2 - 35-36 dress shirt, 42-long jacket. After consulting the sizing chart, I purchased a Large/tall, but it proved to be gigantic, with the cuffs down past my knuckles. So I ordered a Medium/tall instead. It was better in the body but still way too long in the sleeve. I have ordered many other shirts from Bean so was surprised at how different the fit was in the chamois.
