I have been wearing these shoes for the past month hiking and absolutely love them. They are so comfortable, and have been great for long and short hikes. They do not rub in any areas. I also like that they protect my ankles and have great support. I also hiked in them in the pouring rain and they kept my feet warm and dry. I also love the colors that these shoes come in. Traction is awesome, too. Highly recommend!!

I received these about a month ago and have been on a few hikes so far! They were comfortable right out of the box. The size 9 is true to size, and I love the height of the ankle support! Would recommend these to friends!

Haven't owned too many hikers, but the ones I have had are often terribly uncomfortable. Terrain I am around is tundra environment so nothing that needs solid shanks or ultra rigid soles. These hikers do have a runner feel to them, not like a freerun but more of a structured runner. And being a high top that lends enough support for. any surprise lateral movements. The GoreTex is great and shoes are definitely waterproof! Have been using them for work outside daily since I've had them - kept me WARM and DRY!

The Predict Hike is the third pair of Salomon hiking boots I've owned and these do not disappoint. I've owned this pair for almost two months and per usual, I never have to experience a break in period. They provide instant comfort, and paired with the right socks, I never experience blisters. The ankle support is perfect as it gives sturdy support and hits right above the ankle for a natural comfort (not too high creating stiffness and not too low leaving ankles to feel vulnerable).
They are incredibly light and the traction is impressive as it offers comfort on my feet on long hikes and helps me to feel sure of my footing on rocky and root-filled terrain. I predominantly use them for hiking and backpacking and so far, have held up well.
I got an 8.5, which is what I typically get in their boots, but this style in particular felt a little roomier in the toe box area than I would prefer. I stuck with this size though for thicker socks during winter months, but I think it'll still be a bit on the roomy side. Not enough to cause me any unwanted friction or pain, or warrant an exchange.
My only other minor complaint about these would be the shoelaces. Too easy to switch them out but I would prefer to just enjoy laces that come with the shoes. They are similar to other Salomon hiking boots which I tend to find too long (tripping hazard) and the material/shape doesn't always hold very well in place if you've used specific tying methods based on the terrain you're encountering.
Overall I am really enjoying these shoes, and the lightness and comfort matched with the sturdiness are enough for me to overlook the small dislikes. Not to mention I'm really loving these color options with this shoe!

First off - These are a great looking hiking shoes! I was so excited when I found them because I think 98% of hiking shoes are ugly, ha! Once these came in I realize the tongue of the shoe were sitting really weird, almost like the sides of it were held on by elastic fabric.? Once you tied up the shoe it just sat really weird on top of your foot & it's uncomfortable, I also agree with other reviews that the shoe strings are like a weird cord like fabric and don't stay tied long or tight.

I bought these before Christmas for all season hiking but have been wearing them in the snow with a warm sock and they have been performing great. Would really recommend them.

I feel like you can't go wrong with Salomon boots. These have awesome ankle support, they're going to keep your feet dry, and the color is so cute. My go to boots for the rainy PNW.

It's always hard for me to find shoes with good arch support, but Salomon's have consistently provided that. The Predict Hike Mid Gore-Tex did not need a break in period and provided a lot of cushion and support for my flat feet. Also, I appreciate the additional ankle support. I have done shorter hikes (less than 6 miles) and walked around town on a rainy day and my feet stayed dry. I use this shoe more for every day wear and running errands around town and my feet never feel tired or worn down. The shoe itself is super stylist and I love to wear them with leggings or jeans. They are pretty true to size.

These shoes are wonderful, I didn't want to like them but I do. I'm constantly caught between size 9 and 9.5, this pair I had to go with 9.5.

The tongue isn’t wide enough to tuck into side of shoe. My ankles aren’t big. Change the laces immediately or you will fall down. They stretch out super fast and the foam sole scuffs immediately. Also the sole isn’t attached to the show in some places. Oh and the top lace catch is so far up the shoe that If they are loose at all it flips under the tongue. Even after all this I love them for light hiking!

These boots arrived this morning and I've been wearing them inside the house . They feel ok so far, but what can I do about the laces? They're far too long and keep catching on the other shoe lugs & coming unfastened. I've tried
double knotting them but they're too bulky. Please help!

I just spent 6 day's backpacking in Joshua Tree. I trained in these boots for a month prior and had zero issues. While in Joshua Tree, these boots never once slipped on the stones/gravel. They kept my feet warm and the ankle support was awesome. I felt like I was wearing sneakers in regards to the lightness of them. No hot spots and I usually have nerve issues but all good! I can't wait to get another pair when back in stock!

This hiking shoe does not disappoint. It's lightweight, has good ankle support, waterproof and has good tread. It's perfect for light-moderate terrain in warm climates.

These hikers are awesome, love the color way and design/look, but had to return because of a bunion on one foot (the upper part of the shoe put too much pressure on it to be comfortable). Shame, as I REALLY LOVE this hiking boots and wanted to keep them. For anyone who doesn't have any foot issues, these boots are worth every penny.

I bought these for a 4 day backpacking trip in glacier. It rained buckets the entire first day of our 12 mile hike & my feet were the only dry ones in the group of 8 even though everyone else was wearing "waterproof"boots & footwear. Very comfortable underfoot! A little rubbing around the ankles but I used some KT tape & it worked wonders. Truthfully - the rest of the groups feet were hurting pretty badly by the end. We all agreed these shoes were the all around clear winner. Ordering a pair for my spouse.

I have never owned a pair of Salomons before because I never liked how they fit my feet. I bought these boots a few months ago, and recently did a 22 mile thru hike in them. I did the same hike a few years back and my feet were super sore afterwards. Not this time. These boots were light enough that I didn't notice them on my feet, but also provided enough cushion and protection on rock scrambles and tough terrain. I had zero blisters afterwards, and they also kept my feet dry when I had a few mis-steps into the creek. Highly recommend.

I have only owned these a couple of days but have been completely happy with their performance. I have worn them for over 30 miles now, no break in needed at all, on rainy and muddy hikes (which is what I bought them for) They feel supportive and protective yet not clunky or too heavy or stiff. They have survived my sloshing through a couple inches of water and kept me dry. They run a tad larger than the standard 10 I solidly wear but I am happy with that because it gives me options- no squished toes, can wear really thick socks and even with an ace bandage on. Insole fits with medium thick socks. My only questionable part is that the tongue does not connect at the top of the shoe even though the metal loop brackets are up high, so there is a gap on the sides. However, no water has got in yet and the laces don't rub on the ankle so I guess it works. I do wish there were better color options but that is not as important up in the hills as their functionality. Overall, these are so far the best hiking boots I have ever purchased other than a discontinued pair I wore to shreds 10 years ago. Very happy I spent the money on these Salomons!
