Been wear Skate Mids for years. On my third pair of the new Grosso version. Once broken in, these are my favorite skate shoes. BUT IT TAKES FOREVER TO BREAK THEM IN. And it hurts like heck in the process. The redesigned toe cap digs in to your feet right where your toes meet your feet. It is painful. A few friends have the same complaints about the Grosso mids. I've tried everything to help with the break in process, heating them up, putting a soda can in them to stretch them out. It doesn't help, you just have to suffer through it. Vans, please go back to the Pro construction. TAKE THE TOE CAP THING OUT.

My 10-year-old son skates about 40 hours each week. With all the kickflips he does, he absolutely needs good skate shoes. No...he needs great skate shoes, which these totally are. The only problem: he will wear these down like crazy and I'll be buying 4 more pairs before the end of the year. But that's a problem we love having! He likes the mid-rise backs because it supports his ankles (which low backs don't do as well for him) but doesn't restrict movement (like high tops can do). Personal preference, of course. These rule. Have a nice ride!

Great looking shoefit is perfect ! As comfortable as my SK8 lows.

I got them about 6 months ago and they have held up really well to skateboarding and bmx riding I think they look great and have very high quality only one complain there a little bit rough on your toes as they have a kinda small toe box and I got it in the right size and not a little bigger

Understatement ot the century! These shoes are the classic sickness and perfection for bowl and ramp in my opinion. I'm on my third and waiting for my size to order the next pair! Stay shredding family!

Love them!

I loved the design, it takes me back to the 2000's, the shoes are very comfortable to skate or walk. I felt they are kind of bigger than its size, I don't know if going half a size down would fix it but I wouldn't take the risk since these feel good. I forgot, they come with a pair of extra laces, in color black, which I thought it was nice.

Excellent shoeall hail Grosso! But please dump the UltraCush insole and put in the Popcush. The description says PopCush, but photos says otherwise and that's not what comes in the shoe.

Freaking love them . Fit great . Totally comfortable. Great to skate in or what ever you want to in them . Love the look and feel .

I usually don't write reviews but these sneakers are straight fire. Go great with all attires, and get compliments left and right. Love the Rasta look

I personally love this shoe. I started skating again this last year and first tried some Nike SB's. Mainly because my last Vans were the half cabs (2014) and I felt like I needed better cushioning. The Nikes were great but I prefer to buy products I can continue to buy if I like them. Nike changes things too often for my taste. Next I tried a pair of Lakai's and a low top pair of Vans. I didn't care for the Lakai's but I really liked my low top Vans. After watching all the Love Letter's episodes I really started to appreciate the mid cut Vans Jeff wore. I bought my first pair in the blue and white colorway from a smaller skate shop online and I was hooked. I now have the all white pair, this black pair and the maroon pair. I wear them casually and for skating. They are by far my favorite skate shoe at this point and will continue to buy them until the day they discontinue them. I even wore them all day at Disneyland and other than the standard aches that are to be expected, they did better than almost any other shoe I have worn there. Grosso Forever.

Shoes are light weight, soft and comfortable.

Great shoes! has the low-top and the high-top vibe all rolled into one. I own 2 pairs of the Grosso and love them both. Make more colors!
