I have 3 pairs of the Grosso mids and generally wear half cans until they stopped making the black with black stitch much more versatile than a high but not as comfy as a cab. They run a little larger than other vans just like highs but since highs are highs they would keep you in, a mid will give you a slip feeling if too big. Great shoe overall and glad we have some good mid choices and a Grosso shoe!!!!

The comfortable soles makes these shoes even better. I have a hard time finding stylist and comfortable shoes for my son. I'm so glad we saw these. He can stop wearing them.

Grosso's are the ultimate sk8 shoe ever made!!!

I dig these shoes enough that I bought another pair. First pair was the Black/Red. I have read a few reviews of a tight fit. Not sure where that is coming from I have wide feet and they fit as they should for me. My only minor complaint is the picture on the site, the shoes looks more like Maroon. Wine color seems a bit dark to me in person. Looks brown in average light. If you are out in bright sunlight then it will look like wine color.i do like the extra bit of rubber on this colorway.

My all time favorite shoe style from vans!

I bought them to skate in, and my work shoes fell apart. I've been wearing them for carpentry work for the last 4 months now, and they're holding up well. Super comfortable, now I just need to get a new pair to skate in

Love the grosso/skate mids design. It's a tough shoe that takes a while to break in, but lasts forever. Does come with the ultra pop insole, not the pop cush (as described). Any torn seams or separation of the front cap has only happened after heavy usage, usually about one year of Bmx plus everyday use. This is an incredibly durable skate shoe as well, due to the suede/leather construction.

Vans better keep making this shoe "forever" like the name says. My only suggestion is to bring back the cut out heel from the O.G. Grosso Mid. I just re-ordered them since they are the only Skate Mid Pros you can get these days. Solid shoe, the material is like having padding around your feet.

I have high arches and need a wider toe box. My go-to for transition/bowl skating is usually the Sk8-Hi or Half Cab but I wanted to try something new [to me], so I got a couple of pairs of these and am about to buy a third lol. I was worried I would not find the Ultracush insole well, cushy enough, but I actually find it breaks in faster than the Popcush insoles. The rest of the shoe is a little stiffer than the Sk8-Hi but I would say it's more flexible than the Half Cab, at least through the uppers and the top of the toeso for breaking in, YMMV. For me personally, this one provides better ankle support than the Sk8-Hi because of its boxier shape and where it hits my ankle, but again this will likely be different for others. If you want a middle ground between the Sk8-Hi and the Half Cab- something with ankle support but a squarer toe box than the Sk8-Hi, you might like this shoe. If you have high arches, try sizing upthat's what I did. You can always double-lace at the ankles if it feels a little loose otherwise.

Great skate shoe. Takes a while to break in just about like any other pair of Vans. Fit true to size on me. As one other reviewer wrote, the toe box is a little uncomfortable out of the box. The fit is really tight over where your toes meet your foot. I'm sure this will go away when they are broken in. The thing that I can't understand is, why advertise that they come with PopCush insoles when they don't? A premium skate shoe should come with the manufacturer's premium insole. Stating that they do when they don't is very misleading to the consumer. That's really the only issue I have with the Grosso Mid. Had it came with what is listed in the description, I would've given this shoe a fifth star.
