Most comfortable and best running shoe I have ever had. I have high arches, wide feet, and have had issues with plantar fasciitis. I have tried almost every brand—NB 1080’s are the best.

These shoes fit and have a lot of cushion but other than that I don't like them. The area above where the lacing begins needs more support. They are difficult to get on because of the lacing and tongue. The holes for the laces are slits making it hard to change the lacing. I like padding around the heel collar instead of the new look. I liked the 1080v9 before they made these awful changes. I wish shoe companies wouldn't change the models every year. Will be returning these and getting the Brooks Glycerin.

Much improved from the previous 1080s in appearance and comfort. The toe box area is super stretchy so it works very well for us bunion afflicted people. I sized up but I shouldn’t have because they’re long and a bit too wide. Oh yeah and also very comfortable for walking!

I loved the fit of the 1080 v10. I was hoping to buy a back up pair but was disappointed that they had updated them but I tried the new model anyway. I'm returning them because I can't get them to fit. The overhand lacing keeps me from adjusting the fit, the laces cannot be removed and re-laced to make for a better fit, the laces won't come through the flat hole!

Need a shoe horn to get them on. The tab at the heel doesn't afford a good enough grip to pull the shoe on. combine that with the tight opening at the top of the shoe and it's a pain in the neck,. Once on, they fit. Just getting there is an unnecessary problem.

My 81 year old feet are happy wearing this shoe with unique foam support when I do my 2 mile walk. Even my toe injury is comfortable/

I have owned 4 pairs in the same style. This is the first year that the fit is different! Take note. The area from the ball of the foot through the arch it is wider, and feels less supportive.... maybe others will find the same. They will have to be returned.

I was on the fence about these because the reviews are so hit or miss. I’m glad I went with my gut and bought them because I love these shoes! My old 1080s already had the half sewn tongue so this feature didn’t bother me and I havent had any issues putting the shoe on. Zappos recommended to go up a size but I ordered my normal size (7 1/2) and they fit perfectly with enough toe room. I generally run 16 miles a week and do HIIT workouts and these give me great support for both. Highly recommend!

Bizarre lacing system. Had to figure out a way to lace them up so that I could loosen the laces. Seem a little narrow for medium width and I have slim feet. I am going to keep them because they seem to be comfortable. I have not worn them for exercise yet. I'll keep them for casual wear if they aren't comfortable for exercise because I do like the way they look.

Shorter than the same shoe but "v10" that i bought 1 year ago. Insole also is stiffer. Not comfortable! Actually about 1/4 size too small - an 8 will not work.

I have these same shoes in the same size and narrow width from the previous model year. Last year’s fit my feet perfectly. The new ones are HUGE on my feet, both in length and I’m width. Even with the laces as tight as I can tie them distorting the shoe, my heel still slips out. Strangely, there’s also less cushion than last year’s. In the picture I have both last year’s and the new ones on.

Why is it that when companies "improve" things with a new model, the original was better than the new and improved version? I have NB Fresh Foam 1080v10. It fits my narrow, shallow foot like a glove! v11 is both wider and taller than v10. The shoelaces start an inch higher up on the top of the foot than v10 and there is one less shoelace eyelet, making the holes spaced farther apart. People with narrow feet need the extra hole to help secure the shoe. The top eyelets are also higher up on the ankle than v10, making the tie more across my ankle than the top of my foot. I am very disappointed in v11 and wish I had wiped out Zappos' stock of v10 in my size before it was gone. I wore them 7 days a week while working from home and the soft foam soles wore down quickly. I wish someone would design an attractive athletic shoe specifically for narrow-footed people rather than just taking their regular shoes, picking the ugliest color/design, tucking in the sides a half inch and hoping it will do. People with narrow feet really don't have a choice. Few companies make narrows at all, so we have to settle for what's available rather than buying what we like and what truly fits.

I always order New Balance extra wide shoes because of my bunions. Normally they fit perfectly. This new shoe runs very narrow, almost like a medium width.

Love everything about these shoes. I have a wide foot, high arch, and narrower heel. I ordered the D width, and the knit top allowed for stretch and comfort. It also seems pretty durable. I’m a 60 yr-old runner/walker with achy knees, and I like lots of cushioning. The Fresh Foam had more give than the Hoka, which is a little stiff for me. Unlike another reviewer, I really like the design at the back of the shoe heel. It is softer and doesn’t irritate the back of my heel like others that have a lot of padding around the collar. Finally, thank you New Balance for making wide shoes available in all colors! Love them!

I love the New Balance 1080's. I've owned over 10 pairs and they've really helped my plantar faciitius. I wear a 11 wide and have never changed size over the years. Sizing for me is the same as older models and the soles wear pretty quick. But based on how soft and comfortable they are, I'm ok with the wear. Unfortunately, the V11 has been a huge disappointment.. On both shoes of the V11, the heel has cracked which loses the support and makes them useless. I attached pictures, but the plastic piece that supports the heel is broken in pieces on both shoes. With no support, running is impossible and walking causes blisters. After reading other reviews, this is an engineering defect. I do not recommend buying the V11. On most websites, the owner or company reply back with a response to comments. But based on the other reviews, I don't see them responding. I hope they reply and let me know the issue had been addressed. Until I hear from them, I will not buy another pair.

Second pair of these i love them! I used to wear Brooks until I discovered these. I mostly run on a treadmill and these are like floating on air! Ive been running almost daily since getting them in May 2021 and they have held up excellent! Highly recommend!

What happened to this sneaker? I was very happy with the two pairs I had before ordering the recent model. The design changed with the heel lower causing my heel to slip and rise when walking. The eyelets are much too tight to remove and reverse laces for easier use. The soles do not feel as comfortable.

This is my second new balance fresh foam shoe and I love them. Great for someone with a really wide forefoot and a narrow heel! Think I’m in love.

I work 10 + hours a week, standing on my feet all day! I love these sneakers! Did I tell you that this is my second pair. I will continue to buy these exact same pair of sneakers every 3 months for work!

If you loved the 1080v9 you will love the v11. The v9 was my favorite fitting 1080. The v11 comes very close to the feel of v9.

The fit and feel was great but I was concerned with the woven upper. It did not feel like it would stand up to workout classes. I could see my toes bulging on the material and figured it would be only a matter of time before they'd breakthrough the upper.

I have a bad bunion and some arthritis, so I was looking for something pretty flat and stretchy around my big toe. These were perfect for that . The cushion felt great under my feet and didn’t irritate my bunion at all . I didn’t have problems with the laces . My ONLY problem was my heel slipped when I walked . I had a wide to give me more room in the toe box , so maybe that was it . Might try a medium width because I liked the shoe so much otherwise.

I've been a loyal Saucony user for years - mainly for walking. 3 months ago, I started running. I have several issues with my feet. Bunion, long 2nd toes, wide forefeet, and a left foot with bunionectomy surgery therefore, finding comfortable running/walking shoes has always been a challenge. So far only Saucony works for me due to their wide toe box shoes. I saw the New Balance 1080v11 on someone and asked them if they like the shoes. I ordered it in hopes it works out. It sure did. I absolutely love these shoes. They're very lightweight, plenty of room in my toe box (I got the Wide version), springy, and comfortable. I use my own orthotics. Coming from a newbie runner, I'm very happy with my transition to this brand.

This is the first time for me to wear 1080's, they are comfortable, except I have a high arch and the shoe seems a little snug there. But, I am sure I will get use to them. Overall wonderful spring in my step. I love New Balance shoes. Style and design of shoes are awesome.

My favorite New Balance shoes are 840's.
