I am a long time Birkenstock wearer, still have my first pair of Bostons that I purchased 30+years ago. I had been looking for a pair of white sneakers that were comfy and good for walking, the Bends were perfect. Fast forward 6 months, I wore the shoes 2-3 times a week for short neighborhood dog walks and quick errands (covid times). I couldn't understand why my feet were getting wet (foggy mornings) and there always seemed to be a thin layer of dirt in the shoes. After some investigating I discovered that the soles were splitting along the lines of the pressed in pattern and slowly disintegrating. These shoes can not be resoled. I guess I expected much better quality from Birkenstock especially for the price.

I'm in longtime recovery from Plantar Fasciitis. As soon as I put these on, my feet said, "yes, yes, yes!" Good arch support, excellent toe freedom. These are less cushioned than my go-to Hoka One Ones, but I feel they are good for transitioning post PF, so that I can build up my own arches. And plenty of room for orthotics, although I'm going to use their footbed for the time being. Note the footbed is not their original super-rigid footbed (which I prefer), but is made of actual cork and has significant arch support. Time will tell. I'm 8 1/2 (9 in some shoes) and 39 N was perfect for me.

Everything about this shoe is just what I wanted it to be (except the color--but I can live with that). The tops of my feet are sensitive, and lace-up shoes generally cause me pain; but these, for whatever reason, don't have that problem. And for shoes that have a long series of lacings, they are amazingly quick and easy to get into and out of. The support is just what I have come to expect from Birkenstock, but they are also very flexible, making it easy to break them in and pleasurable to walk. And because they are unisex, the width is wide enough for me, even with bunions. I love them.

I live in Birkenstock Arizona sandals all summer, so I was psyched to see these sneakers released. I initially ordered one size larger than my normal, because I was worried they'd be too short (just based on how much room I have between the ends of my toes and the ends of the sandals), but I ended up exchanging them for the same size I wear in the sandals, and they fit perfectly. These are not sneakers I would shoot hoops in or work out in, but they're basically perfect for the same things you would do in a sandal (walking around, hanging out), just in the form of a sneaker. Perfect for year-round wear.

I definitely would not call this style NARROW as I ordered, for it is definitely a Medium width. He Birkenstock, Regular/wide would be so very wide. I wear the regular/wide in their ladies Arizkna sandals. Leather and construction is amazing! The white is gorgeous and can wear with everything.my toes have wiggle room and no cramping or rubbing anywhere. Due to being a shoe designed for both male and female sizing, unisex, the narrow/medium width fits my women's b/c width. I wear a 9 or 9.5 in most shoes and the 40 narrow/ medium is perfect in this model. Love Birkenstock!!!

I love Birkenstocks and wanted winter shoes. They have been my favorite casual shoes. I have worn them several times a week for 18 months. The four star rating is because even though I wear socks with them, they don't breathe and I have found mold growing on the insole wear my toes rest. Took the insole out and there is mold around the perimeter of the inside of the shoe. I don't wear them for exercise and my feet aren't particularly sweaty. Maybe the design needs to be altered to add air holes for venting.

I pretty much only wear Birkenstock’s in the summer, so was really excited to try these. My feet are so happy. The leather is so soft and doesn’t irritate my really sensitive feet. And they are true to size. So thankful for these fun shoes. Worth every Penny.

My husband wore these shoes for 2 weeks before the soles separated in the back. I exchanged them for an identical pair, he wore them twice and the sole separated again. Absolutely wouldn’t recommend.

THe style and comfort of these sneakers are nice. Not as good as my arans that I wore the sole out of but ok. Not sure how they are going to hold up as I haven’t even had them a month and one of the sneakers seam is coming apart..

not enough support for a walking shoe

These white leather sneakers are amazing and everyday useful. They are a true Birkenstock shoe but made with the look of a sneaker. You are not going to be athletic in these. They are made for walking, work, going to concerts or fairs, etc where you want to protect your feet but have the comfort and support of a Birk. These can be worn with or without socks and the footbed is removable. The inside of the shoe is all leather and the quality is outstanding. If you don’t want white there are many other colors. Zappos is great. Birkenstock website also has wide range of wide and narrow available but can’t beat Zappos fast delivery and customer service.

LOVE LOVE them! I have struggled in winter because I can't wear sandals and Birkenstock are the only shoe that don't hurt my Morton's neuroma. I debated because they are fairly expensive. But glad I bought them. Well worth the splurge!!

As a long time Birkenstock wearer I was so excited to see a sneaker I could love! I ordered them in white leather, my usual size 8-8.5, 39 in European sizes and it only came on a narrow, so after reading the reviews I decided to give them a try. Perfect! I can’t imagine these being any wider, narrow fits like a medium with plenty of room in the toes but nice padded collar that makes them secure on the back of the foot, excellent arch support too. The style is a little different but I like it, think it will be cute with shorts, jeans, even skirts and dresses. Also know, these sneakers are not the lightweight sneakers sold - they’re true Birkenstock with the insoles very similar to their sandals. They will take a little wearing before they’re totally comfortable due to the cork insole, famous for Birkenstock, they need to mold to the foot but even now with my first wearing they’re comfortable enough. If you’ve not worn Birkenstocks just know that once they’ve molded to your foot they so comfortable, don’t give up and miss out. Just a word of caution, I think the first pair I ordered had been lightly worn, when I took the insole out, it is removable, there were lots of strings and someone had put masking tape on both pairs, not sure what they’d about but for the price, unacceptable. I called Zappos wonderful customer service, explained the ‘issue’ and a new, perfect pair arrived the next day. Thanks again for the excellent service, it’s hard to find a company that truly cares about their customers, Zappos for the win. If you like the Birkenstock wearability give them a try!

I have been looking for white sneakers for a while. Tried Nike AF1, Adidas Stan Smith, and other brands and they just weren't "it". Tried the Birkenstock Bend and knew at first try that these were for me. Love these shoes! They are perfect!

These are AMAZING!!! Straight out of the box onto my feet, 10 hours working walking. Absolutely no pain the next day from tired feet. No blisters, rubbing or pinching. Finally my dream sneakers. Note-although says narrow they were wide enough for my feet which I can wear wide width. Want/need another color. Couldn’t be any happier!!

God bless Birkenstock. Finally a cute sneaker that accomodates a wide forefoot!! I live in Birkenstock sandals ten months out of the year. I did have to go up a size from my sandal size, because my big toes were touching the top edge of the shoe when I ordered my sandal size. The support is also great, similar to the sandal. These shoes are not very cushioned, so if you need a soft, bouncy sole they might not feel good. But they feel supportive enough for a good bit of walking. They are also super cute! I imagined them being a blinding white like shoes nurses used to wear, but they are kind of understated. I'm really pleased with these shoes!

I love these. Within 90 seconds it was like I had worn them forever. I wear Birkenstock sandals and clogs as my primary footwear and these felt right at home on my feet. I buy sz 39 in sandals and 40 in enclosed toe shoes like clogs, tennis’s, and maryjanes.

Oh how I wanted to love these. You can't imagine how excited I was as an RN who is on her feet the majority of the day to see Birkenstock come out with shoes I can wear to work. These shoes are HUGE. It says in the description that 36 fits a 5-5.5 women's US size. NOT TRUE. My heels were flopping right out of the back of the sneaker. Unfortunately these are going back. Why do so many companies assume that if your foot is small you can't have any problems with bunions or your arches??? How about more shoes that come in wide for size 5? That's my tale of woe.

Just got the blacks and already back for white! I’m a women’s size 10 in Nike and the 41 narrow are perfect in these (though I usually get 40 narrow in Arizona’s and 40’s in Gizeh’s). Definitely order true to your normal shoe size. Crazy comfy out of the box, look sleek, and clearly great quality! Plus they don’t make my women’s size 10 feet look like these are clown shoes (harder than it seems to find). Obsessed and waiting for the notification whites are back in stock to buy immediately!

I decided to keep them despite experiencing a couple of issues. They make my feet look really small; they remind me of doll shoes. The shoe feels a bit heavy and a tad short in length. Due to having a lot of foot and ankle issues I don’t have a lot of shoes to choose from. They are taking some time to break in so wearing a couple hours at a time. The best shoes for me are Birkenstock and Hokas.

These shoes are cute but they arrived very obviously worn. The leather was scuffed and cracked in some places. I don’t want to pay $150 for used shoes so I’m returning. When I order new ones I will order one size larger bc they felt tight on my toes. I ordered my usual Birkenstock size

I love these shoes as I now have, for the first time, a pair of sneakers/ casual shoes to wear that provide excellent comfort. For years, I have been wearing Birkenstock sandals in all weather conditions here in New Jersey because they are the only footwear that is comfortable. I have foot issues due to knee surgeries. Ordered these sneakers once I discovered them. I did order my usual size 38/ Narrow, and had to return & order next size up & wider 39/wide. This plus Thorlos socks has made all the difference……total game changer for me in that I now have comfortable casual footwear that is not sandals with socks. I highly recommend & consider sizing up on a closed shoe style Birkenstock if you have only worn their sandal.s. Win- Win and Merry Christmas to me!

I wear 39 (8.5) in all Birkenstock sandals. These sneakers seem a tad shorter, enough to hit the top of my toes in a “wish they were half a size longer/taller) way. I ordered another pair in size 40 - those felt perfect on my toes, but my heel kept slipping up/out so I returned the 40s. Luckily my 10 year old son confiscated the 39s before i had a chance to make up my mind to return them so they are getting good use :) maybe after he softens them a bit and outgrows them in a couple of months i will be able to recover my $150 sneakers and wear them so more :) They quality is excellent, leather soft and firm at the same time (trust me) and they do not look anything like clown shoes! They are fashionable - as in 80s fashion coming back in style.

I am a long time Birkenstock wearer and wear a 38 in sandals. Had to size up to 39 in the sneaker for length but the lace-up is great for my narrow foot. Was looking for a pair of comfortable leather sneakers for a trip that will require lots of walking and hopefully these will be perfect! They are not as cushioned as my Hoka Bondis but more of the style I was looking for to wear with casual dresses and skirts. Had plantar fasciitis in the past and am very particular as to what shoes I purchase. Birkenstocks have always been my go to for comfortable shoes!

I’m thrilled with these ! I’ve had the slip on canvas Birks ( Barrie) for about 5 years they’re still great! Wear them daily ! So I wanted a new sneaker . I ordered from Birkenstock directly to get the silver . My old Barrie’s were wide so I was worried ok or drug narrow but have to say they are wider than my “ wide “ Barrie’s were! I don’t have wide feet . I love these shoes! Immediately on putting them on it was heaven! Thanks
