The vacuum crock could be the starting point for Stanley to make a thermal cooker. You'd build the current vacuum crock larger, and include a separate 4-6 quart stainless steel pot w/ lid that fits inside. Then, all you'd need to do is put your meal in the inner pot, bring it up to cooking heat, and place the pot into the vacuum crock. Let the whole shebang sit for 4/5 hours and the meal would be done, because the vacuum crock would keep the heat in. Like using a regular crock pot but without the continual nee to use energy to keep it hot. I've seen these thermal cookers overseas, but not here in the U.S.

Awesome product. I keep one in my emergency preparedness also. It keeps things COLD or HOT for so long!!! More then 12 hours and my soup was still warm. Love it.

Holds much more than I thought it would. 8 small bowls of soup, perfect for quick lunch at the ski lodge. Be sure to prime it with hot water (fill it from a kettle and sit for 10 min) for maximum heat retention. Soup stayed piping hot!

The Camp Crock is a nice addition to my hiking adventures. I always bring food/snacks for the end of my hike and this has allowed me to bring hot food. It's nice and sturdy so I don't have to worry about it busting open if it happens to fall over. I don't have to just put items directly into it, I can also put a few items that are sealed in bags, or plastic containers to keep all my warm/hot items separate. I'm sure this would be perfect for camping, picnicking, and even for the jobsite.

We used this to carry chicken and dumplings to our camp site. We put the food in at about 4:00PM, and I finally ate at about 11:00PM. The food was still steaming hot.

I bought this crock after bringing gravy to a Thanksgiving potluck and accidentally spilling it in my car. Never again! Now it's very safe to transport hot liquids. I also use it to bring cold dishes like potato salad to a picnic. I refrigerate it along with the food and it keeps it very cold all day. It gets a lot of positive comments wherever I bring it.

This is a fantastic product. It seals well and keeps food steaming hot for at least a few hours. I haven't tried mine for longer than 3 hours at a time. I wish Stanley made this in a 1.5 quart size as well for smaller gatherings!

I have used this product many times in snow trips. It keeps my soup nice and hot, and never leaks. Super solid. I only wish stanley made one that was even bigger. 1-1.5 gallons would be awesome.

I made gravy at home and brought it in this crock to my mom's house for a holiday dinner. The heat was locked in, nothing spilled or leaked, and it was still piping hot when we go there! Love this product!

So far I've just used it to store grilled hamburgers and hot dogs while the rest of the meat is still on the grill. Seems to have a tight seal and retain the heat. The lid latches are tight, so it takes some effort to operate them. My wife couldn't take the lid off. At this point, I will say it was a good purchase.
