Totally redesigned for the worse; no longer a hiking pant. The relaxed fit is gone. This style is tight in the thighs and seat more like climbing pants. Can't store much in the front pockets due to tight fit. Also gone are the cargo thigh pockets and the zipper line is higher on the knee than previous models. No belt loops in back to use your own belt when the internal one wears out. Front snap is small and cheap. They still have the fabric quality of the past versions but that's about it. Save your money or try to find older models.

I purchased these pants for hiking along the California coast, which can experience drastic shifts in temperature over the course of a morning/afternoon and the Paramount Trail convertible pants are absolutely perfect for this. NOTE I did have to return my original purchase as the pants tend to have a little bit of a larger/looser fit than I prefer. Order a size down, if you like a more form-fitting wear.

They pants are great for the Southern California Goth hiker. Just wish they were slimmer at the ankles

These are great pants for anything casual. Unzip the legs and they become a great pair of shorts when the weather gets warm. They fit great. I'm glad TNF went back to the relaxed fit. I have a pair that were slim fit and are a little tight.

Paramount is the perfect name, top of the heap. Though I wish they had the cargo pockets of my 10 year and older ones. The only pants in my closet, and pack. Year round comfort. And the WARRANTY

I used this product to go camping in West Virginia for 5 days. These pants always kept me cool when it was hot and warm when it was cold. Sadly i did get a hole burned through one of the legs by an ember so watch out for that.

Just wore these pants off and on for over a week while summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro! They were perfect in the sun, rain, cold, heat, and everything in between! Looking forward to seeing what other adventures I can put them through in the future!

I think these pants are the best! I was traveling to 6 countries in 3 weeks and packed for the wrong weather. I grabbed a few pairs of these and started my trip. First stop, Iceland and these were great for hiking, climbing, and quick temperature changes (hot, cold, and wet) within a few hours. Then I traveled to Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Austria, and finally the Netherlands. The weather varied greatly and knowing that these pants had me covered for anything. They breathe well, dry quickly, holds up without tearing! I finally came back to the states and bought a few more. These are the clothes you want to pack into your carry on...just incase. They also have plenty of storage. Well done NorthFace and thanks for saving my trip!

I like the North Face quick dry pants because not only are they great outdoors hiking and fly fishing but they clean up to be worn out to dinner when you come out of the mountains. Most pants in this category are a wrinkled mess after washing. Great to camp in but that's about it. The North Face pants make great travel pants.

Great pants that last a good while. They are a little tight in the thighs, but all around great pants!
