I really like these boots. I served over twenty two years in the US Military. I only wish the DoD had something like these when I was serving (1972-1994). Military boots have come a long way. I normally wear a size 12D, however, being up in years, I went with a size 13 wide. My feet tend to swell from time to time and I do like thick socks. I am glad I went with the 13W. These fit perfectly. I measured the height of the boots. They are approximately 8.5 inches from the top of the boot shaft to the bottom of the soles. Perfect height. They are so lightweight and no pain in my neck, back, legs or feet after all day wearing and standing. For a little added protection, I sprayed mine with water repellant. All the stitching on my boots are flawless. The back pull straps are definitely attached very securely. I may go back and purchase a second pair as a backup in case Merrell's decides to discontinue. I don't know why they would, this boot is a Winner!

I've had 3 sets of these boots and they are the best, especially if you have wide feet. The wides Merrell has is wider than other brands. They are light, fit great, and always look good. Put many miles on these bad boys and only had to get ride of them because I accidentally ripped them. They can handle walking, running, to rucking With no problem worth there money compared to others in my opinion.

I had a buddy take two pairs to ranger school and loved them. I bought my first pair and took them on a 12 mile with a 65lbs ruck on pavement the next day. I usually have blister/hot spot issues but I had neither. I always take the insoles out and prefer a more minimalist boot in garrison and in rucks. This is an all in all good summer time boot. Mine lasted about a year and a half of just demolishing them. They dry fast, the fabric on the ankle doesn't feel like you are in a cast walking around. Definitely buying a second pair for summer.

The absolute best fitting and feeling boot I have ever worn! Right out of the box they felt like they were already broken in, and the comfort is phenomenal! I don’t ever want to take them off at the end of the day!

I am a medical officer in the Army with nine years of active duty time and these are the lightest and most comfortable boots that I have ever owned. I am on my feet all day taking care of patients and these are fantastic for my daily routines. Furthermore they are simple and professional without the extra folds and flash. I would definitely purchase them again.

I purchased my first pair of MQC's in 2018 for daily wear in my uniform and they turned out to be the most comfortable daily wear boy that I've ever had. They lasted me about 2 1/2 years before the sole started to peel. The only complaint i have with them is that they are ready to scuff. If you are kneeling often, you can expect the toe box to turn from coyote to black. I bought my second pair in March 2021 and have had zero problems with them in the 2 months that I've had them. If your looking for a good daily wear bootthat feels like a tennis shoe, this is it.

Let me start by stating the obvious. Yes these boots are flawed at the stitching on the upper portion, however in my 16 years of active duty army service these are by far the most comfortable boots I have owned. So much that I have gone through 5 pairs in a 2 year span. Yea that is a lot of boots for most in 2 years but for me that is typical. These boots have a very wide toe box and the leather bottom portion is extremely flexible making movement from ground to standing unrestricted. Merrell, please bring these boots back with the stitching fixed. The MQC Strike Tactical are not on the same level of comfort and seem a little narrow compared to the MQC 2.

These boots were truly amazing. As a Marine, I use them for field activities and use them for my Combat Fitness Tests. They are light and allow me to sprint better than any other boot I've used in my 23 year military career. Highly recommended for combat, hiking, training or even leisure wear.

My husband is active duty and lives in his boots. He swears these are the most comfortable boots to wear on a daily basis. He tried a few other brands and keeps coming back to these MQC 2 Tactical Boots.

Used a set for 3 years Active duty Army as a Scout, doing everything in them from rucking with heavy weight over uneaven terrain, field exercises lasting in excess of a month straight, to everyday use spent in the motor pool on hard concrete all day. I've found them to exceed all expectations when I switched from my old boots which are similarly designed. The MQC wears like a running/PT shoe with all the support and comfort you'd get, but with all of the durability of a proper combat boot; something a guy wearing them literally every day can truly appreciate. The best part? There is practically no break in peariod, and the leather is plyable enough to be comfortable while doing it. The toe box is generous, and allows toe-splaying much better than basic issue boots among others, which means fewer issues in your foot or knees after wearing them for prolonged time. My ONLY issue with it, (and this is a pretty minor one) is the tread is not as thick as the legendary Panama style lug sole, and they can be slippy in thick mud, especially after wearing the sole out in daily use. For an all purpose boot though, I don't think you can physically beat it for the sheer comfort and weight. If Merrell ever reads this and makes a variant with a Panama tread on the sole, it'd break that 99.9 and get to a perfect 100. Buy a pair. You will not be dissappointed.

I bought these boots a year ago. I have put many miles on them. They are great, they are comfortable, light and easy wearing. I have been miles and miles through rough wooded country in them. I would recommend these boots for service people, hunters, and hikers. This is an excellent choice.
