Incredibly light boots with a wide sole. I love using mine on long ruck marches and they have carried me around the world. I wish the insole would last a little longer and provide a little more support

I can't find an in regs boot that hugs my heal yet gives my toes space like these do. However this last pair ripped along the outer mesh after less than a month of use. Had to get them patched at a boot shop.

I really want to absolutely love these boots. They are hands down the most comfortable lightweight boots I've tried.
The issue is that the material in the side panels starts to un ravel and fray at the edges pretty quickly probably because the margin of extra material at the seam is pretty small.
Hopefully Merrell gets this issue sorted out. When they do these boots are going to be unstoppable.
To their credit. The customer service experience was fantastic and they sent me a replacement pair without any issues. It was really quick and easy.
I haven't been wearing the new set long enough to see if these have the same issue yet.

Finally got them after a full month and a couple days, to an overseas apo. I like the fit but I should have ordered a 5.5 or the 5 in a wide. I'd take ship them back but that's so tedious. I usually wear the vibram bels 5.5 wide and I gotten used to the room I didn't get these in a wide but we'll see when I break them in

I have been wearing these boots at work, I walk on asphalt and concrete and I am a large man. I think these boots need a sole upgrade to the MOAB 2 sole, those are great. I found out there is not enough cushioning for the feet, and why are the arches so high?

Not a bad boot for the price . I like how lightweight they are and they are not waterproof , which I like. They run wide .

These boots are rough to break in but provide the necessary support for your feet and ankles. I have been wearing mine everyday and they get comfier through each use. They are still very difficult to get on and off but I am hoping that the material just needs to see some serious use. The tread and sole is superb!

Being active duty military, I have tried a variety of boots over the years and I'd have to say these are one of the few pairs where I bought the same type of twice in a row. These boots take very little time to fully break in. I like that the MQC 2 boots are light weight, seem to grip well on the rocks, and are pretty durable when compared to other tactical footware in this price range.

I owned a pair of the old versions but with the change to OCPs needed coyote brown. I got a few sizes to try but found them to be uncomfortable for someone with low arches. The arch support was somewhat pinpointed and caused tingling in my foot. It also felt like I was sinking into my heels with my toes higher than my heel even though it should have been the other way around. They are super light and the laces lock your heel into the heel cup well which is nice. Unfortunately they just didn't work out for my feet. If you have more of an arch id say go for it, they're a good value and will be comfortable.

Very light, very comfortable out of the box. I've worn plenty of boots in my career, but these are by far the best. Please make a steel-toe/ceramic version

I read all the reviews how these were a no break-in period boot. That turned out to be pretty true. Day one I had to do a six mile ruck and they were super comfy. They do get more comfy the more they form to your foot after wearing them all the time. Down side- they are like every other "trainer" or light weight boot I've had. Within the two months with normal use and no field time, the front rubber part is already separating from the boot. So that's super annoying. I haven't had a chance to wear them in the field yet so we will see this upcoming month how they hold up running lanes in beautiful Ft Stewart.

I bought the wide version of these. I haven't had color or durability problems like the other reviewers. Note, this is a lightweight boot and its more like a tennis shoe. That is what I was looking for because I don't wear these in the field, only in garrison. These are similar the Garmont NFS in weight and function. My only complaint is the wide version seems to "fat". Meaning, the width is nice, but there is too much room on top of the foot. I wouldn't wear these on ruck marches like Garmont NFS but for garrison boots they are super comfortable.

I love these boots. I use them for both my jobs. I am on my feet 13+ hours a day, and my feet do not hurt me at all. The only I would do differently is not get the wide. I normaly buy a 11ee boot and I have about half an inch on each side of my foot when wearing these boots. So for anyone with a wide foot make sure you look at that before you click on wide without looking into the details.

The MQC 2 Tactical Boot is a great boot. They are extremely comfortable with near zero break in. They feel like some of my other boots after 2 months of being broken in. They fit true to size. My only issue is I wish the insoles or boots themselves had more of an arch support. I think I have a pair a flip-flops with more arch support. Beyond that I would definitely purchase again.

I liked everything about the boot. It is comfortable, and feels great. Switched from a Nike boot to this one. My biggest issue with the boot is the fact that it has changed color really fast. My Nike boot which is about 3 years old still has the same coyote color but this one that i have had for less than 6 months has changed to a tan color which is definitely not Army compliant. Due to the reason, I'm forced to buy a new boot.

I bought my needle tactical boots in January 2019 I use them for everyday use while walking, road marching, and working in the office. I own a pair of Moab 2 boots my favorite all terrain door wear ever. Once Merrell decided to release combat boots I was excited. The boots have been very comfortable and light weight. Unfortunately the durability of the boots is questionable my soles have worn down way to quickly and the rocks cut into the soles way to easy just from road marching and off road walking. Additionally my biggest issue is one of my straps on the heel has completely unravelled making my boots unserviceable by Army regulations. I paid good money for these boots and they are barely a year and half old. Merrell are known for building a product that last and are durable. I enjoyed these tactical boots it's a shame some things fell apart on me so early. I have pictures of my boots and the Deficiencies.

I have had these boots for a few months and love them. They are super comfortable and light. They support your feet like a hiking boot and keep your feet from getting fatigued. I am an army instructor and am always on the go I ware them 12+ hours a day and are fantastic.
The reason that I didn't go full stars is because they are really on the light side of coyote almost tan. If they were just a bit darker there's that *.

Great lightweight boot, but this model runs about a 1/2 size larger than other Merrell varieties.

I've went through 2 pairs in the past 6 months. After the first 2 weeks the mesh on the sides starts to fall apart. After a month or so the toe and heel part of the sole starts to come off. Other than that great design and comfort.
