I love the fun, tropical theme. They are relatively comfortable but I feel the arch support could be better. They are also difficult to put on as the fabric around the heel is so flexible. I like the shoes but not worth the higher price.

The back of the shoe is a little higher than my usual socks. I have had some irritation there. My knees didn't usually bother me, now they do. My hips did bother me, now they don't.
Two other women in my class have the same shoes. Neither one of them seem to have any problems and they both really liked the shoe.

Not as comfortable when I wear them for many hours at work . I am on my feet a lot for work so comfort long term is crucial. I can only wear tall socks with them bc the back of the shoe digs into my heel.

The shoes were smaller than all of the other Brooks I own. They were very uncomfortable. I'll stick with other models, although I loved the look of these.

I had to get this style because I was unable to get the Ghosts. I like them, but not as well as the Ghosts.

The sole is great but the back rubs really hard on the Achilles. I understand the intended purpose of the design from the Levitate 2, but I couldn't go an entire just walking in them. I will have to resale for much less than I paid.

They redesigned the back of the heal and it is turned inward and rubs the back of the achilles tendon terrible.
I will be returning these shoes.
(Brooks Levitate 3).
I'd also recommend:
I only wear Brooks. I love the Brooks Glycerin and Brooks Levitate 2.

The overall comfort level of the shoe is great, however the ankle support is higher than the levitate 1 and 2 and caused blisters the first day I wore them. I had to return them and get a pair of levitate 2 instead.

I had the levitate 2 and they are my favorite running shoes ever but I recently got the 3 and they are rubbing the worst blisters on my heels, I've tried wearing huge band aids and taller socks. Also they run smaller than the 2.

Bring back the Levitate 2........the back heal area comes up to high, causes irritation and "eats" your sock!

I loved the 2's. I ordered a pair through a company at my work and within a week of the 2's the toe was almost off. I contacted the company and said they would send me a new pair but unfortunately the didn't have the 2's in my size and sent me these. The foot bed feels much more narrow but I do feel balanced but after my first run my heel was hurting so bad from the back of the shoe. I don't know what to do now with this pair!

I, like previous reviewers, have owned Levitates since the beginning. The transition from my Levitate 2s to these has been disappointing. The portion supporting the heel/ankle has changed drastically. I end up with red sores on the backs of my ankles. The only way to kind of minimize this is to wear bombas or similar socks with more cushion. That being said, for any of my runs I revert back to other Brooks shoes as I fear my feet would pay dearly if I used the 3s. Stars given were based on the insole/footbed comfort and the new color options/styling. I posted pics to show how much the shoe has changed and how there is little to no cushioning in the back ankle/heel area. I think there are better Brooks options in this price range or better yet find some Levitate 2s that may be remaining, but these need serious corrections when they go to Levitate 4.

Not as nice as Levitate2. Don't like how shoe laces up. Causes gathering on the tongue of the shoe.

I loved the Levitate 1 and 2 models, so I was excited to try the 3's. The shoe itself delivers great-I have struggled with shin splints/stress fractures and subsequent tightness, and when I took these shoes out for spin I felt none of that (even after not running for over a month!). However, the collar dug into the back of my heel, enough so that it created a blister! You can see from the picture of the shoe that the collar sort of 'cuts/digs in' at the back of the heel, and for me it hit in a bad spot. When I was running it wasn't bad, but when I was walking it kept digging in. I love the feel of the shoes and the look of them, but I can't handle that collar rubbing and creating blisters.

Finally found a pair of Brooks available in my size, I was excited until I tried them on, 10 minutes in my left ankle was sore from the collar rubbing. I love the look of this sneaker, not as comfortable as the adrenaline I tried on. Wish it wasn't so hard to find my size.

I really wanted to love the Levitate 3. I have the Bedlam and have enjoyed runs in this shoe but didn't like the collar (it stretched out, didn't lock in my heel). Levitate is the neutral sister to Bedlam and I was looking for a neutral this time around, and it looked like Brooks fixed the collar issue of the previous model of Levitate/Bedlam. However, the fit was just... meh. I purchased a size 7 in the previous model and reviews said to purchase your normal size in the Levitate 3, so I ordered a 7.5. To me, it fits too big. It felt sloppy, clunky, heavy, and too wide for my narrow midfoot. I couldn't cinch the laces enough to get a secure fit. (Please note, I have a narrow foot!) To compare width to another popular Brooks model, this shoe feels wider than the Ghost 12 and about 1/2 size larger. I do like that they added an extra eyelet to make runner's loops and the collar is improved over the previous model, but it's an ounce heavier and just didn't have the turnover of my previous sister shoe, the Bedlam.
What I like: knit upper feels breathable, soft yet provides support, footbed is comfortable and provides arch support, added lace hole for runner's loop, collar issue from previous model fixed (no stretching), 8mm heel drop (my foot likes 4-8mm), attractive looking shoe.
What I don't like: runs wide, attached tongue wrinkles when tightening laces, difficult to tighten enough for a narrow mid foot, feels 1/2 size too large, feels heavier than previous models, heel collar seems high - would need taller socks.

I have had many pairs of the previous levitate 1 and 2. I absolutely loved them! I am not sure what brooks changed when making the 3s, however they are very uncomfortable, they cut into my heal and they are definitely not like the previous models that I loved so much. I bought these in two colors and both are unfortunately going back.

Sadly, this will be my last pair of Levitators. Whatever Brooks did to change the heel of this shoe is absolutely terrible, and I wish I could return them. I have worn this shoe for years now, but this pair has given me nasty blisters on my achilles. The heel of this shoe is high, arched, and abrasive. I gave it two stars because the comfort of the rest of the shoe and the cushioning provided is up to par.

3rd pair of Brooks levitate. Same size I normally order in running shoes. Something is up with the heel on these. Blistering.

I gave two stars because of the way it hugs the ankle. The padding on the heel stops short and it was extremely uncomfortable where it curves into the ankle. With enough bandaids or tape, I could make it work, but I swapped them out instead. Everything else about the shoe was great. Very comfortable and fit perfectly.

If you don't wear taller thick socks the back of your ankle suffers! I can't even wear them

I wanted to love this shoe. The soles were comfortable and the shoe gave support yet was roomy. The issue is in the heel of the shoe. It is designed with no padding on the rim of the shoe and it cut into my Achilles' tendon and left blisters.

The Levitate 3 does not fit nearly as well as the Levitate 2. The design change definitely makes the shoe uncomfortable and less stable for running and other activities, in my opinion. The new low cut design (compared to the 2, which is a shoe I loved) bothers the back of my heel unless I am wearing tall socks. Overall the shoe just does not fit as well as the Levitate 2. I was disappointed when I got these shoes because I was very excited to get a new pair of Brooks. I had my Levitate 2 for years and was a college athlete that wore them everyday.

Unfortunately, I haven't had a good experience with these shoes. They are beautiful and seen to be great quality. They are super comfortable until I start walking or running in them :( my feet are killing me before I even reach half a mile. Sadly, I will be returning these.

It's a great shoe and I even Like the color options, but the back is too high and rubs up too much causing constant chafing and raw skin above the heel. Also, you have to buy a certain sock to go with this and they don't always protect that area due to slipping. Always having to pull up the socks and I've tried different brands but doesn't help
