These are supposed to be very cushy and supportive, however, I did not find them particularly cushy. The honey-comb foam is stiff and hard feeling. Also, the special lacing pattern makes it hard to tighten the laces at the bottom of the shoe. The thin laces feel insecure and are slippery to lace as well. It kind of felt like strings biting into a roast. I was left with way too much lace hanging off the end too. The outer top of the shoe is stiff and hits high on your foot. It was digging into my ankles. They are supposed to be for over pronators but the arch support is kind of a joke. The sole felt like it had a nice push-off but the top of the toe area is floppy mesh making it feel unstable and unhelpful when pushing off. The unusual lacing pattern and insubstantial attachment style contributed to the floppy, unsupportive feel on the top of the shoe. The bottom of the shoe at the front is oversized, presumably to offer stability. It made them feel like clown shoes to me. They are lightweight.

This is the most comfortable sneaker I have ever owned. I usually buy wide shoes but did not have to for these, perfect fit. I think it's because of the anatomically shaped wider toe box. And the arch support is superb, even without orthotics, I didn't have to put them in. The support is excellent ( I need/prefer support in my shoes for posture and my knees). The slight rocker bottom is awesome for energy return. I can get plantar fasciitis if I'm not careful, not not a worry here. I can't emphasize enough how awesome these sneakers are for running, walking, cross training, hanging out on weekends, anything. My feet hate footwear in general, I to does of as soon as get home everyday, but I don't want to take these off! High price tag, but well worth it. If they every stop making this model I will but 10 just so I have new ones as the old ones need replacing.
I'd also recommend:
Hoka, Dansko, Brooks, New Balance

First off, let me start by saying I have narrow petite feet. These were my 3rd pair purchased of Ons. I have been looking for a pair of running shoes that hug my feet, no heel slip, offer stability and all without being too tight. The Stratus feel great on my feet. I can wear them all day without my feet hurting at all. But for in the gym, on the treadmill and road running they did not work for me. I choose to still keep the shoes because they still feel great for everyday wear.

Very firm sole. Was expecting much more of a cushioned feel. I wear a 9.5-10 in athletic shoes. I ordered 10 and my toe is at the end. Nice, wide toe box which I wanted, but this shoe doesn’t feel very cushioned to me. I’m used to wearing Hoka and Adidas Ultraboost.

Good looking shoe. Didn’t appear clunky looking like others said, but maybe bc it was black. However, I wasn’t impressed with the comfort. Not as bouncy and soft as the cloudflyer and cloudace, which are also stability shoes so I went with The Cloudace instead!!

These fit great just looked a little too clunky for my taste. Traded them in for the ON Cloud 2.0 as I liked the style of those better.

I reallllllly wanted to love these shoes. I have the On Cloudventures (the trail runners) and really like those, and I did like the styling and color of the Cloudstratus (I got the blue ones), and they seemed like they were going to be very comfortable based on reviews, but when I put them on, they just weren't as plush as I was expecting. They weren't really plush at all, in fact. That said, for someone who doesn't have foot issues, these could be the perfect shoe, because the wider toe box made them very comfortable in that sense, but if you have foot pain of any type (like I do), I'm not sure that these would work.

Well constructed, one of the most comfortable sneakers I have ever owned. I like the small diameter shoestrings, too. They seem to stay tied better. Toe box is actually big enough! I love these shoes!! I need to get another pair before they stop producing them! Caution: they run short. I had to get a half size larger. And, they are way cool looking. Not your run of the mill running shoe.

If you love the cloudflyer you’ll probably like these shoes!! I’ve tried a bunch of different on shoes and most didn’t work for me. I’ve worn the cloudflyer for about a year and loved them. The Cloudstratus are similar but have a wide toe box and are a little heavier which I don’t mind. I generally size up a half size when buying running shoes but these were true to size so I got my regular size. Love them! Highly recommend. Super comfy for running.

This is a heavy, clunky sneaker. And it's ugly- not quite lavender- more muddy grey. I have been wearing Cloudflyer for several years and wanted to try something new with good cushion and support. Very disappointed in this years selection of cloud flyer and this style- in the colors- who chose these? They lost their edge. Anyway, it felt like these were dragging me down and was 20 yrs. older when I took just a few steps. Returned.

I really love this shoe - it's not super cushy like a brooks sneaker is but the shock absorption is innovative and they are very comfortable! If you're interested in this sneaker definitely give it a try! Great for running or walking long distances, plus I really like how they look. I'm definitely a fan of this brand now!

I originally bought a half size down based on other reviews - I do not recommend this unless you have extremely narrow feet. I often have to do this when buying Asics, but have not had to since switching to On, and these shoes are no exception. I do have a wider toe box, but nothing abnormal. This is my 5th pair of On shoes in 2 years, and I really like these a lot! Have only had them a day, but I can tell they are more padded and a little more substantial in the material. While they are "heavier" than typical On shoes, they are by no means a heavy running shoe! I am praying these will help tremendously with my shin splints when doing any distances over 5 miles - we shall see. So far, I love them and the way they feel! Only wish they came in more color options - really like the red flash option in the Cloud X, and would love to see it in this shoe as well.

Absolutely love these shoes!! Typically wear size 7 1/2 in tennis shoes, but ordered size 7, and they fit very well.

I’m new to the ON brand but bought 2 pair after my brother raved about them. I personally prefer the fit and finish of these, hands down. They’re also more aesthetically pleasing to me. The Cloudstratus, is a bit wider, and is engineered for trails. I find standing and walking in them for hours very tolerable. The other pair are more narrow and less attractive. I wear the other pair to work so that doesn’t bother me as much. Overall I’d recommend this brand. I’m not a runner, but do walk and wear these 12-13hours at a time. I REALLY wish Zappos would get the new “Dip” version of the ON shoes. Love the look and would like to add those to my collection.

I tried these on initially in a high end running store and fell in love with them. I bought them from Zappos (same price) same color etc and they are perfect. lightweight. I did add an arch supportive insole which made them perfect for me.

Just wrote a review for the On Cloudstratus and forgot to mention: Shoe was recommended by a podiatrist. He said to check out the brand and find a shoe style that may work to improve my unique foot issues. Thanks Zappos!

This is my second pair of ONS Cloudstratus. For me, having a very structured sneaker is very important and it fills this requirement. It also has an extremely roomy toe box and this is an important attribute for me as well. It is a bit clunky looking but the comfort it provide is more important. I wish the company would make some other colors like its other models. I wear an 8.5 and needed a 9 and it fits properly.

Great shoe! I have issues with my feet; over pronated, plantar fasciitis, and heel spurs! These sneakers with my orthotics have been amazing!

Size: Between the CloudFlyer, the Cloudace and the Cloudswift, the Cloudstratus have the widest toe box. I'm an 8.5W with Brooks Glycerins, and the 8.5 was perfect. Comfort: You can feel the extra cushion and support with those shoes, but... why did they have to use this material?? The shoes are stiff! So stiff! It actually hurts your ankles with every step. I had red marks around them when I took off the shoes. The material they used is different from the 3 ON shoes mentioned above. It's not soft and it doesn't bend easily. I do not recommend those shoes.

This is the 3rd pair of OC I have tried. One pair is for weight training so it’s not as big of a deal but these are NOT comfortable, cushy shoes. The bottoms of my feet hurt just from doing everyday errands in them. They press so hard on the tops of my feet even with very loose strings that the circulation is cut off to my toes and I experience a bruising feeling after wearing them. I keep 4-5 pair of shoes rotating at a time so i thought it was just a break in period but it is happening today as I wear them. They’re great-looking and I get compliments on them but they definitely aren’t running shoes.

omg I have about 4-5 diff pairs of on clouds and these might be my favorite yet. I have very high arches which makes me susceptible to plantar fasciitis and these are comfy and have max support. wil definitely be investing in another pair. I wear a 7.5-8. i sized up to an 8 on these
