Absolutely love these! I am a longtime Birkenstock wearer and I own more pairs than I care to admit. I’ve been dying for a pair of Birk ballet flats but I’ve avoided ordering the Celina as the reviews are so bad. However once I saw that the Celina had been redesigned I immediately ordered a pair! I believe the main difference is the back of the shoe, which no longer has gathered elastic. I found them very comfortable and I will now be ordering a pair in taupe as well! If you didn’t like the Celina before, you may want to give the redesigned version a try!

I so badly wanted to love this show! The color is beautiful and it's so sweet. However... My big toe felt smushed and the back of the shoe didn't hold onto my ankle. Will sadly return...

DO NOT BUY THESE SHOES. I am absolutely devoted to my Birks for everyday wear but these are easily the most disappointing shoes I've ever purchased from ANY brand. The elastic at the back pushes your foot forward and jams your toe in the the front toe box, and can make the back of your heel ache if you wear these while sitting for long periods of time. The toe lining started coming apart after less than 2 months of wear, creating weird rubby spots that resulted in blisters on both my pinkie toes, though I was able to fix the problem with Shoe Goo. After 3.5 months of frustrated wear I took them to my cobbler, who was able to remove the heel elastic, trim the excess leather, and fit them to my feet, in addition to better repairing the toe box which was already starting to come apart again. They are much better now, but I was kinda pissed to have to spend an additional $50 in modifications to get a pair of already expensive shoes to fit me properly.

These are lovely, elegant shoes with Birkenstock support. However, pay attention to the reviews that discuss the heel fit - if you have narrow heels these shoes will slide off, which is what my issue is.

Phenomenal!!!! The support and quality is unrivaled!! Sooo pleased with my purchase! The only advise I’d provide for others is the “toe box” (front of shoe) is rounded and small. Not for people with long toes or people who need a wide toe box fit. But it works just fine for me, just figured I’d share that tidbit ;) otherwise BUY them, you WONT regret it! ?

Love these. I gave 4 stars for style because the ridges on the sole make it obvious that you’re wearing comfort shoes rather than sleek ballerina flats. I ordered the same size as my Birkenstock sandals and there’s a bit more wiggle room than expected. Could probably even size down. So far no issues with the heel sliding off. Great for wide feet and for teachers. :)

I really like these. I recently had foot surgery and really need arch support from now on and these are super cute and comfy with adequate arch support. So many shoes for people with problem feet look like orthopedic shoes. It’s a relief to find a pair I actually like the look of!

Finally! I have a work shoe that has the comfort of my Arizona's and Boston's! No more wishing I could wear my well worn in casual birks to the office anymore! I hope to get in every color, hopefully they will do a leather as well. The fit was to be expected, like my others. And I am so thankful they are not the soft footbed, but are in fact like the original footbed which I prefer. I have no issue with the elastic back slipping off, these are a dream come true.

I want to be able to keep this show so badly. The arch support is amazing & the width on my Morton’s Neuroma didn’t feel too narrow. The style is amazing, and with the redesign I feel like the heel stays put when you walk. But sadly the combination of the material (which is gorgeous & seems sturdy albeit stiff) and where the top of the show cuts across the foot aggravate my bunion. And it’s the place where most ballerina flats cut across. I was just hoping this being Birkenstock, a comfort shoe they would have thought of that in the design. Honestly a half inch further down my foot and I feel the bunion would be ok. But just standing in them in my apartment left an indent across my big toe knuckle. ?here’s hoping they redesign the show and make that less severe and more comfy. I’m gonna have to return these for I feel if I swapped for a slightly larger size the heel would then start to slip off.

I hoped I might be able to wear these, I would love to have a ballerina with arch support. They are just too wide, particularly in the heel, for my slightly narrow medium width foot. I usually opt for Birkenstock narrow, which is wider than a traditional narrow, I wish this was available in the narrow! If you have a narrow heel I doubt this show will work for you, as another reviewer mentioned the elastic will push your foot forward squishing your toes. If the elastic fits against your heel better I don't think this would be a problem. The toe box also felt a little stiff, but it seemed to me that it would break in with wearing and be a comfortable shoe if it fits your foot.

I ordered the version with the new heel back. That part is comfortable. However, in order to stay on, the shoe is tight, and jams my toes towards the front of the shoe. This also means my arch isn't where the shoe's arch support is, which is uncomfortable. If there was a way to keep my foot pressed against the back of the shoe, then it would be fine. Sadly, this shoe is going back.

This shoe was great for me. I have been looking for a flat with support and this fit the bill. I have seen other posts about not liking it because of seeing the birki sole. I don’t think it’s that noticeable. What I do find is the great support from the footbed. I did have trouble with the elastic digging into my heel at first but after a few wears this shoe has really molded to my feet. I came back for another color.

Adorable! Birk comfort and ballet flat style. cannot ask for more. Got the pink and will get other colors. fit true to regular birkenstocks. I'm an 8 and a half, always wear a 39 and these are no exception.

I don't know why so many people found these bigger than normal because I ordered the same size I wear in Birkenstock sandals and they were not even close to big enough. I ended up ordering 2 sizes above my sandal size in order for these to fit. I had the same problem with the Lismore maryjane by Birkenstock. I agree with the reviewers who said the elastic on the back causes it to push your foot forward and your heel to pop out. The elastic is too tight and wants to scrunch down so your heel isn't covered. I found putting some stick on heel inserts in the back helped hold the back up and counteract some of the elastic problem. The shoe would have been great with a stiffener in the heel and forgetting the elastic all together. I really needed some closed toe light shoes without a strap across the top of the foot and since I love Birkenstock's supportive insole I will make these work. Still 120 is a lot for a shoe you have to alter and "make work".

I was really looking forward to a ballet flat with support. Unfortunately, the heel slippage made these shoes impossible to wear. I couldn’t keep them on at all when walking down or up stairs.

I live in Birkenstock sandals and was looking for a supportive ballet flat. I have wide feet and was hoping the regular width would be wide enough just like it is in the sandals but these were much too tight. It pinched right across my bunion (which is not a big bunion). Unfortunately these are getting returned.

The 37 fits my 6.5 to 7 feet perfectly. Lovely, well made shoes. I have in both Black and Tan. Go well from the office to casual.

I LOVE these shoes! I have several pair of Birkenstocks and they are, quite literally, my favorite brand. I saw these when I was looking for a new pair of flats. I love Birks because of the support but that's hard to find in a flat shoe. While these may not look as cute as the flat I envision in my mind, these shoes are adorable! The suede is super soft and doesn't rub around my toe or heel (two problem prone areas for me.) I have a wide foot and wear wides in other brands...like all birks these are fine for my wide foot. The coral color is a very soft color similar to salmon color. I want to order a black pair and as soon as they are in stock I will. I am traveling to Italy this fall and plan to take these as my main walking shoes there. Good job Birkenstock! Keep these shoes coming!!

I have wide feet and these fit, can’t believe how comfortable they are.....I love Birkenstock and this shoe is as good as my sandles are,

Outstanding ballet flats, cute and comfortable. I first thought there would be no support but I was totally wrong. They are terrific. Did not work for me because of my complicated feet but I hope they do for you. You will be happy.

I have big, wide feet, these fit perfectly. They're not quite as supportive as birkenstock sandals, but they do have the birk cork insole so provide good support. They're much more solid than your standard ballet flat, but don't look or feel overly clunky. My only complaint would be that heel is a little weird, the heel cup and the back of the shoe don't quite work together so the back feels a little loose. I didn't have any trouble walking in them though and my heel doesn't actually come out, so I didn't find it to be that big of a problem.

I ordered these in a 7.5, as my shoe size varies between a 7.5 and and 8.5. On the left shoe, the top curve pinched on the bunion area and the arch support seemed to be in the wrong place, whilst the toes of the right foot bumped on the toe box. The next size up would be too big. My husband didn't like the wedge heel look. The soles did feel soft, yet supportive.

These darlings are going back because they do not fit. They are big in every way. I stupidly thought I should purchase the same size I’ve worn in Birks for 40 years instead of paying attention to the reviews. Additionally, one of the shoes came with a small smudge of dirt on the tangerine/delicate orange colored shoe. So, even if they fit properly I’d need to return them! I’m not concerned because Zappos customer service is always wonderful.

First review. Been wearing Birkenstocks for decades. If Birkenstock designers can tweak this just a bit more they’ll have a ballet flat with arch support and can take over the world. The heel is much better with this newer design . The toe box needs to be just a bit higher, wider and longer- maybe just a couple of millimeters . The arch support is great and I’m keeping them. Hopefully the toe box will stretch out and if it does- perfection .

The Celina II are a big upgrade from the previous version, the elastic back is gone which is a huge improvement! The front of the flat is still a bit weird... but workable. I ended up stretching the shoe so it wasn’t so tight in the front, also added some moleskin so my big toe wasn’t uncomfortable hitting the top of the shoe the way it did. Sounds like a lot of work, but Birkenstock flats?!?! Of COURSE we want these to work!
