Customer Reviews Sperry Outer Banks Thong Sandal

My husband has worn Sperry Outer Banks Sandals for years, and unfortunately they have changed the design in the last 1-2 years. This is not even remotely the same sandal! It is much smaller overall than the original sandal; the sole itself is thinner, and appears that if he had been able to wear them, they would have worn out very quickly because the sole would have soon separated from the upper. In addition to the design change, the sandal does not fit like a size 9 should--again, it's much shorter and narrower than the previous Outer Banks thong. We tried twice to get the right size and decided to give up and try a different brand, which is very disappointing after he's worn these all spring/summer/fall for nearly 10 years. If you're trying to replace a beloved Sperry Outer Banks, be aware that these are NOT THE SAME and only have the same name.

When I buy flip flops I hate when they are loose around my foot so I always buy one full size less than my shoes and it always works out. But I have a wide foot and buy shoes 1/2 larger to get the width.
