Beware this shoe. There is a serious flaw in the mesh on the right foot over the toe box. I have read other reviews of those who have had similar problems. The tear that I saw just over my big toe in the toe box turned into a giant rip while on a run this past weekend-- which then resulted in my tripping and falling very hard on the pavement. My knee and hands bear the damage, and frankly there was a lot of blood-- the natural effects of running fast and believing that a shoe should stay together. I have run in Asics all my life, and I have never had a problem like this; it's very disappointing. The rest of the shoe gave a very fluid ride, and for once I actually thought these looked good. But, Asics needs to ensure that quality reigns. When you're a serious runner, you expect a shoe that costs $120+ will carry you through a full 500 miles-- these split after 5 3-mile runs. Kudos to Zappos for good customer service in resolving this issue. I will be going back to the old Asics GT 2000 - 5. If I were you, I would NOT buy this shoe until Asics issues an update. There is something seriously wrong in the mesh. They are dangerous for serious use.

Same as another review, the small toe mesh area ripped after three runs. In addition, the mesh at the bend of the big toe started to wear down right away but not torn yet.

The shoe fit, but there was something missing. The front felt cheap, like the materials weren't that great. After i read the reviews on the quality issues with this shoe i returned them. So my experience was just indoors.

Normally like this shoe, but this last pair was defective...the meshing near "baby toe" started to rip apart after 2 runs. Exchanging.

Similar story as other reviewers, they just aren't very durable. The mesh above both my big toe and little toe is tearing open, and part of the sole tore off while I was at a gym class. They were great for a few months they lasted, but you should probably look elsewhere if you want a reasonably reliable shoe.

I left the review dated June 2, 2018. I'm returning to downgrade the number of stars for this shoe. I've been wearing the shoe since April 2018. I am a lightweight, low-mileage runner. I should have heeded the warnings from the other reviewers about the design defect. Like the others, the top mesh in the toe box in my left shoe has developed a tear. When Asics advertises a shoe as breathable, I didn't know they meant it was breathable because my toes would actually stick out of the shoe! That's too bad about this shoe, since it's one of the few running shoes that isn't loud and ugly! :(

Shoe fits tru to size. I have flat feet and purchased this shoe for that reason. I added a redi thotic as an arch support. The combination definitely helps my heel spur and plantar fasciitis. I do not run. I wear these to work on concrete floors. Good shoe at a good price.

Best shoes for my feet and my plantar fasciitis. Like not having it at all.

I like these shoes a lot. The 4E is certainly wide and so far my foot hasn't broken through the side like they tend to do on narrower shoes. They've held up well thus far and they feel good. My only issue (which is really most road running shoe) is my ankle can roll over pretty easily when I hit uneven surfaces. I know they aren't trail shoes and don't have a low profile, so I accept it.

These shoes are light, comfortable, and fit my feet well. I mainly walk and do elyptical for exercise, these work for me. I recommend these to anyone who like to walk, run, or do elliptical.

Good price, prompt delivery, good shoe. These were recommended for my son by his physical therapist due to pronation causing heel and knee pain. He is like a new kid! The support has done him a world of good.

Built very well. Lightweight, but very solid. The fit is expected for Asics.

I run in nothing but Asics and I love the GT series, both 1000 and 2000. This is my second pair of GT-2000 6 and I love them. Just ran my first marathon in them and they were great.

i have narrow feet and have been struggling with finding a shoe that supports the arches. These shoes are exactly what I've been looking for! They're very supportive and comfortable. They've help my plantar fasciitis all but disappear!

I went to one of those shoe stores where they measure your foot and stuff, and they put me into some pretty good runners. They wore out, and I decided to go to the source. By Golly, they had the same wonderful shoe in a slightly wider style, and it was half the flipping price I paid for the old pair. Now I know my perfect shoe, and I can always get new ones cheap.

This is my second pair of this shoe. The combination of great cushion, support, and 4E width makes for a great, high-performance shoe. Looked at from above, the shoe does look a bit wide; can they make it slimmer looking without compromising comfort? I hope they can, as they make wide shoes for almost all their shoes in Japan, and their shoes have slimmer silhouettes.
