During a recent rainy walk with my dog, my right foot started feeling very cold and very wet. When I got home, I discovered water was leaking through a crack in the sole of the boot. Some of my shoes I have truly worn down to the ground, but not my Hunter boots – overall they are in great shape. (I don’t wear them too often because they are a bit clunky to walk in). In sum, this crack is NOT due to normal wear and tear. I emailed Zappos customer service and, as usual, received a speedy and helpful response. But since it had been more than 12 months since the date of purchase, I needed to talk to Hunter directly. I live-chatted with Hunter customer service, but the agent disconnected me before I was done. I then tried to reconnect to the live chat FIVE TIMES, but was never connected to an agent. I finally received a generic email response from Hunter indicating that they won’t do shit outside of that first year after purchase. Hunter, are you saying your RAIN boots are only good enough to keep out rain for a year? Because your $150 price tag indicates otherwise. My overall assessment: Sub-par product + horrible customer service + $150 = BAD PURCHASE What a disappointment.

I've had Hunter boots for years and every year I look forward to a new color for the season. I wear them at least part of every day and they keep my feet warm and dry no matter where I decide to trek. They are effective for crossing slow running creeks up to 10-12 inches deep without the worry of wet socks on the walk home. My only caution would be to those long time Hunter buyers who remember getting three years of heavy use before the rubber cracked and the seams split. That is no longer the case for me, a year is the best I get out of my Hunters these days. The quality is just not the same. But, I'd recommend them for the type of wear I give them, and a year's still not bad for a comfortable, good looking rain boot. It just gives them 3 Stars instead of 5.

These Hunter boots feel nothing like my old pair. I had read that these were now manufactured in China. Very unfortunate. They just don't make things like they used to! Next time I'll buy boots Made in USA.

The quality is very poor. I’ve hardly worn them, only cleaned them with Hunter cleaned, and they are already cracking and - therefore - no longer waterproof. Although they look nice, buyer beware. As a side note, Hunter did not stand behind their product when I inquired. Very disappointing.

I ordered a pair of Hunter rainboots (where the top is cloth) for my birthday last February and only wore them once. Now, I took them out of the box and the BLACK boots are now WHITISH GREY. I tried to wash them with water and no luck. I would like to inquire why this would and how I can fix that. If anyone has had the same problem please let me know.

Lovely looking understated and feminine slim boot. I’m a 7.5 so I ordered the size 7 and size 8 for comparison. A size 8 fit better in the foot and was more comfortable but I found the size 8 had a much larger circumference and significantly larger boot shaft than the size 7. I figured I would just wear slim socks with the size rain boot and make it work. In the end, they’re too tight on me and I’ll probably end up donating them because I wore them once outside. Great boot, just not for me!

Amazing fit!!! I love the look of Hunter boots but I have always hated wearing them because they slosh around so much on my legs and if I'm wearing thin pants or leggings I get a rash on my legs after wearing them for a couple hours. Because of it, I ended up just getting rid of them. So when I saw this new slimmer version I thought I'd give it a try. Fabulous!! They do not slosh at all. The cut is perfect for smaller thinner calves, but what I didn't expect, the added bonus, was that the foot part looks sooooooo much better than the original boot. It's slim, streamlined cut looks almost elegant, if that makes any sense for a rubber boot. It looks like more of a European cut. When we were in Paris recently we actually commented on how how good their rain boots looked, like regular boots and not big old sloppy galloshes. These Hunters are the best and are a lot like the boots we saw there, but better. They incorporate the great Hunter design, logo and colors with this modern, sleek cut. An absolute 10/10! The first day I wore them I actually had two different people come up to me, compliment them and ask me where I got them. And when I got home my 16 year old daughter flipped over them, so I got her a pair for Christmas, even though they're more expensive than the originals. It's money well worth spending for what you get. As for the color and finish, I bought the navy blue in the matte finish and the burgundy in the shiny finish. They are both nice but if I were going to do it again, I'd pick the navy in the shiny finish. The darker colors in the shiny finish seem to be particularly terrific in this boot--just my opinion.

These boots are gorgeous! However, I am 4'11" and found that the boots are a bit taller than regular boots. So, they rub against the back of my knees while walking are are quite uncomfortable. The buckle also makes it impossible to cross your legs while sitting because it sticks out quite a bit. I am keeping them because I love the way they look but as far as comfort, these were not made for short people.

I had trouble finding a rain boot because my feet (at the toe) are fairly wide for my size 7 foot, and my heel fairly narrow. These were perfect. I sized up to an 8 and they fit perfectly. (I usually size up at least a 1/2 size for any boot). I am 5'6 and they come up to just a hair below my knee which is perfect. The cut and height of the shaft are both very flattering.

These boots are out-of-the-box perfect. The style is super comfortable and hugs your calves more than the original boot does, so it's perfect for people with slender legs. I just hope they last longer than my last pair. Hunter boots are so comfortable for my feet (I have a high arch & instep I think) that I keep buying them, but my last pair came apart in a year. I'm hoping they've gotten their act together.

I usually wear a 5.5 or 6, bought these in a 6. The fit is great. I also worried about the height since I'm only 5 feet tall, but they are a perfect height. I thought about getting the classic hunter but thought these looked more refined and I have small feet so didn't want a bulky boot. These are everything I wanted. Had kinda hoped I'd think they were terrible and send them back and then buy a cheaper boot but nope, I love them.

Sending back as I am 5'5 and these hit me too high up on my leg. When I sit down the back of the boots cut into my leg.

Love the Boots but are a little tight, really wish they made half sizes.... I wear a 8 or 8.5 depending on the cut, so I started with a 9 and they were way to big, so I returned them and went with the 8, and are a little to snug.

I am male so the boots fit just like they would if I bought them in a men’s size. My foot is a little bit wide however it is not difficult for me to adjust. I just put on regular long socks instead of the thick ones.

Beautiful boots but had to size up. I’m usually a 7 or 7.5 and ordered a 7 based on the reviews. Way too small. 8s fit great, especially with a sock.

Love these boots! I have really skinny legs and most rain boots look ridiculous, but these are perfect! Just enough extra room to wear heavier knee high socks if you wanted. I'm usually a 6.5-7 and ordered a 6 and they fit fine. My only complaint is the transition between the foot and ankle is a little snug.

I got this pair for my trip to Europe back in the end of March, where England was still cold and rainy. It did keep my feet warm and dry. I felt extremely uncomfortable to wear it to explore around.

So disappointed! For one, the product that arrived was not as pictured. The boots I got were 100% black and did not have the red hunter logo as pictured. When I tried it on, the calf was very loose and the foot width was very tight. The sole of the shoe came out when I took it off... like it wasn't even attached to the bottom. All around a terrible purchase!

I’ve ordered other rain boots but they were always clunky. These boots, with socks, are perfect! I love them, they are slim and are a great fit for me. I wear size 7 normally and I ordered a 7, and the fit is perfect!

When I pulled my old wellies out of the closet for the year I recognized they had fought a good fight. After years of keeping my feet dry they deserved a dignified retirement. The replacement, the “refined” boot, is a little taller but a similar fit to the original (perhaps a tiny bit tighter but the old pair was pretty old). I love the subtle black on black insignia which makes them more versatile. Zappos delivered quicker than I would have believed possible during 2020! Thank you!

My error. The color “draw” is a light pinky tan-ish color. I thought it was closer to white.

I’m usually a size 9, but in boots I typically run smaller. Was not comfortable, will need to size up.
