Need I say more? Pros: a comfortable, close fitting soft shell. Great zippers, decent insulation and wind breaking.
Cons: the cuffs require surgery to pull an average hand through. Maybe I should check the serial number and make sure it's not a woman's.

Very happy with this quality product. The fit is spot on and I appreciate the level of detail they take with their clothing. My only complaint is that it is quite overpriced.

This is a great all season jacket. Great in the rain and great for a cool night. Comfortable all around even with a fleece under.

The best jacket I ever bought. Acquired it for mountain bike riding and hiking, but use it now also for commuting. Best performance in every outdoor activity and harsh conditions, as well as on my way to the office.

I purchased this jacket online after searching my local stores (they cannot keep Arc'teryx jackets in stock. The jacket is perfect and I look forward to wearing it for many years. My last Arc'teryx jacket lasted for over ten years.

I purchased this to be a potential all-round jacket when I was moving. I found more insulated jackets overheat, as do waterproof/breathable shells. Neither of those are very durable either if going off-trail, though rocks, climbing, scrambling, through brush, etc.
This jacket has done all I have asked of it, especially if I wear it over quality thermal base layers. What impresses me most about this jacket is just how water resistant it is. I've worn it in what I'm going to call rain. Not showers, drizzle, not a deluge, but regular rain. In 20 minutes of this, the jacket did not wet through. At first I thought this was just really good DWR, and maybe it mostly is, but there's something magic about this in that it's held up under inclement weather several times now. Rain, snow, mixed, drizzle. Hiking, on the bike.
It's not the most insulated garment, but it does block the rain very well. You're going to want to keep moving in it, in cold weather.
Buyers should note the sleeves are a touch longer than some other jackets. This works best for something like climbing when you are reaching up a lot, perhaps cycling as well. They are not cinched, but can easily be folded over a little if too long.
As expected, the build quality is superb, like all Arc'teryx equipment.

Great style, light weight, but can still keep you dry in some light rain. Perfect addition to my Arc'teryx jacket collection

This is a high-end softshell that is very durable for its weight.
The fit seemed a bit weird to me when it first arrived. There's more fabric than I was expecting around the shoulders, armpits and upper arms. However, the combination of gusseted armpits and the stretchy material gives me unfettered range of motion. I bought this in size small but also have the hooded version in x-small which fits me like a glove (no room for much other than a baselayer). The size small works best for me over a light fleece and a base layer, though it also fits well over my Atom LT (also size small).
I'm 5'7", 145lbs.

Bought this jacket for my MTB camping trip to Moab, and it worked perfect. The day we started our trip, there was a story that brought snow shower, all day, and cold wind the next 4 days. I was able to layer this jacket too keep comfortably warm without feeling bulky

Bought this to replace an old gamma that is probably 10 years old. The old jacket still looks new, but was a size too large. The jacket has an athletic fit so fits perfectly and while I miss the full fleece lining of the old jacket, but this one is lighter and packs down smaller. I ordered the black version and the orange inside pocket provides a nice pop of color. Overall happy with my purchase.

I was looking for a technical jacket without a hood for some time. Nothing quite ticked all the boxes. Until I saw this jacket. It's brilliant windproof, really comfortable and easy to wear and has good breathability too. I like the fact that the collar is actually wide enough to zip up fully and the collar lining means it's always comfortable. A few reviews have mentioned that the sleeves are long. Yes, they are but the cuffs are really cleverly tailored - so you don't really notice. It's a very fitted jacket, so if you're borderline in sizing, it's probably best to go up one, especially if you are planning to wear more than a sweatshirt underneath. The inside pocket is small and not suitable for most phones. Don't expect this to be a jacket to carry lots of bits in your pockets - bring a small bag if that's your need. This is a great jacket that is really well constructed. I haven't seen anything better on the market that does the same job.

Bought this to go along w my atom lt. I am new to arcteryx but I'm a believer now!!! Great jacket fits over my atom too if I need an extra layer. Sleeves are a little long. I typically wear a 34 sleeve and I would say these are closer to 35-35.5 inch. Not a problem though. Not to bunchy. Disagree w regular fit. Def fits more athletic, not boxy. Very sleek. Can be a good technical piece or an around town jacket in mild conditions. Wouldn't recommend as a stand alone if below 50 degrees. Great to wear a flannel underneath to knock the chill off

My first Arc'teryx purchase and I'm impressed. Although this is a lightweight jacket it is surprisingly warm and and windproof. The water resistance is also fantastic, rain just beads and rolls off.
Looks good too.

I am 6'1", 188 pounds with an athletic build and the size large fits like a glove. My favorite part about this jacket is how the sleeves are made to move with you without sliding up. Great she'll for climbers and hikers.

This is the best softshell available. Can be used for skiing, back country exploring , or adventure use. The durability makes it useful and the weather resistance will protect well. If you need water proof you can bring a rain shell. I see it as perfect for a lot of ranges of temperature with the adding or removing of a fleece layer or a shell over top. You can't really adventure unless you have a soft shell because of the durability issues of other ttpes of jackets. Thats my opinion. It has stretch, looks clean, and the materials were well stitched to last. The materials themselves are unique and add durability. Small details throughout that help with fit and function and comfort. Simple, yet perfect.

I've owned a Gamma LT for over 15 years and used and abused it from motorcycle rides through Asia to hiking to everyday use. It's a beast and puts up with incredible abuse. I love the hidden inside zipper pocket, which kept me from losing my passport from a pickpocket once who unzipped and reached into my handwarmers and got nada. I will say the sleeves run a bit long for my frame and the durability around the cuff is a bit weak since they take extra abuse and have started to fall apart. But I can't complain after 15 years of use.

This jacket is great! I live in Alaska and got it as a jacket for my everyday wear and I love it! It is breathable and very comfortable. Its also very fashionable and is water resistant so if it sprinkles a bit while I'm out it keeps me pretty dry!

I bought this jacket to double as a hiking softshell and as a day to day jacket.
Be aware that this is an extremely thin soft shell and provides little to no insulation, I mainly use this on warm days but still need some sleeves.
The fit is excellent and the water resistant finish is a welcome addition, when hiking it means I don't have to pull out my hardshell if it is only light drizzle.
The fleece like lining around the collar is a great addition and provides a bit of extra warmth to keep out the cold.
The zips on the jacket are some of the smoothest I have ever used.
Uses:
1. Great for hiking in mild weather to wear over a base layer (extremely thin to provide some elemental protection) but will not be too hot.
2. Urban environments, this is my day-to-day jacket, its minimalist look means it is just as suited to the streets as it is on the mountains
An issue I do have is the size of the inner pocket, I do not understand why it cannot be made larger, it is an awkward size that doesn't really let me fit much inside - the size of a phone would be nice
Overall: This is no doubt an expensive jacket for its size and weight, if you are looking for great build quality then this is it but if a thicker insulating soft shell is what you are after then look elsewhere.
