This is an outstanding shoe for everyday use and light hiking. I have had multiple foot surgeries resulting from torn posterior tibial tendons in both legs, and have fused joints in both feet and I wear custom orthotics. There are very few shoes that I can wear and this suits me perfectly. I like this color, and have also had a pair in brown. I just think this is a cool combination. The shoes are durable, relatively water resistant, and very supportive. I hope it is never discontinued.

Great style for an all weather shoe with great traction and stiff soles. My doc recommended them for arthritis. They do take a little time to break in. Wide toe box is perfect for me. I wear either an 8.5 or 9 depending on the width and in the Hoka One One Summit WP, I took an 8.5.

Oh my gosh! Instantly comfortable! These shoes needed NO breaking in at all. I was in love immediately. I think they look ok too! I've had trouble finding footwear with enough room around the toes, and these are perfect. I've tried other hiking shoes and boots, and one thing I like about these is the laces. They are the flat kind that stay tied, you don't have to double knot them like the round laces. Since I got them for hiking, I started wearing them when walking, but I quickly found myself wearing them for everything I do. The description says they are waterproof, and I've been wearing them outside inthe snow, but I'm afraid of ruining them. They make me wish I had a job where I was on my feet all day long. I went back to Zappos and got myself another pair of Hoka One One sneakers that are now my everywhere shoe. I will save these for hiking. Love love love them.

These are comfortable hiking boots overall, with excellent arch support. However, there is one flaw to the design: both sides of the flap are connected to the body of the shoe. The connecting fabric creates two rubbing points against the back of my foot. The rubbing is the worst when walking down hill.

I love these shoes! I bought them for backpacking on a rocky trail, to protect my feet without adding a lot of extra weight. The shoes worked very well. I wore toe socks under wool socks to avoid blisters, and that worked just fine. I was hesitant when they first arrived because they looked big and clunky. But they were comfortable and durable.

Recommended by my orthopedist for bone spurs on my toe. So much more comfortable than other sneakers for this problem. Nice wide toe box and seemed to have allowed me to take long walks without any discomfort at all..finally !!

Shoes were too wide. Not enough cushioning on the heel. Heel to toe drop was too extreme for me. Not the right shoe for me.

Good quality. This is my 3rd pr of hoka shoes. I have a plain tennis shoe, slides, and now hiking. I needed these treads for a Maine Nike coming up. Hiked in them twice & they feel like great support, the cushioning is not as good as the slides, but better than hiking boots without that cushioning. Less jarring is what I’ve been seeking due to a spinal problem that causes vertebra to slip, so the softness of the cushioned step is what I needed. The wide toe is good for my bunion too.

I was looking for a shoe to walk my active Springer Spaniel in, through wet fields, shallow puddles, and have my feet remain dry and warm for the fall/winter. My podiatrist had recommended HOKA, but the local store was a bit too overwhelming and too helpful for me to make a decision. I am so glad I looked to Zappos where I could take my time and decide. I am a solid 9 in a shoe...and I have the beginning of a bunion on one foot, and both my feet width is tending towards a little wide anyway. I purchased the 9 and loved the shoe, but found that it just felt too big...my foot was sliding. On a whim, I ordered the 8.5 and it seemed to fit pretty well. After wearing each size around the house, at times one size on each foot, I finally decided that the 8.5 would probably work. I'm quite surprised that a 8.5 fit, since I tend towards 9.5 in other shoes, especially heels. The shoe feels a little wider than most others I tried (Merrell), which for me was a positive. The toe box is comfy and roomy. The back seemed to hold on to the back of my ankle and keep my foot from slipping up. It is a rocker type sole, which means it is solid and doesn't have the traditional flex at the ball of foot. The only time I found this to be an issue when I was walking up a steep hill, and there was a bit of heel slippage. I've been using them daily for 3 weeks now, and am impressed with the comfort. Overall, this is a great shoe and the waterproofing is a huge plus

Love these shoes! I actually bought these last March because I needed “good sturdy shoes” to heal my heel (bruised heel bone & bad planters fasciitis from intense high impact). However, I immediately returned them because I didn’t want to spend the $ on shoes that’d be “temporary"...fast forward...my heel’s better, but now I’m paranoid of going through that discomfort again. Since I’m not giving up my workouts, I have toned the intensity down from high impact to 5-15 mile daily walks. I thank the Hoka One One line of shoes for helping me not only heel my heal, but to allow me to do these walks pain free. I own 3 Hoka gym shoes, 2 Hoka recovery slides, 2 Hoka flip flops, now these hiking shoes. I want to cont my walks into fall and winter, so I needed waterproof shoes for the rain, slush, snow, etc, and boots won’t cut it because I need the support of a good shoe. And really, for me, the only choice is Hoka One One. These are worth the money. They fit right out of the box and they’re perfect. I literally couldn’t imagine another hiking shoe fitting better.

My first pair fit like a glove, my second pair I had to take in to have them stretched. Wish they could be specifically the same each time. I wish you would show me my history of my purchases when I make a purchase. That would be nice. I think I have purchased about 7 pairs. Love HOKA ONE ONE!!

Just discovered Hoka One One and so grateful I did! Started with the Clifton 3 and now tried this. The most comfortable footwear I've ever found for my metatarsalgia and they easily accommodate my orthotics. And I typically wear Wolky or Alegria. It did take a bit to get used to the somewhat rocker style of the sole as my orthotics also emphasize the arch (especially the Cliftons) but now they are my go to shoes for every day wear. Just hoping they come out with some more classical styles and subdued color combinations.

I so love this shoe! It is absolutely beautiful, light weight, and exceptionally comfortable. They really give me a bounce in my step and save my feet from pain and fatigue. The toe box is breathable and roomy. The only con is that the soles wear out terribly quickly. I am saving these for use only during exercise and on smooth, soft, or paved surfaces. I could see the texture on them wearing off after the first use, and a thin coating layer on the softest, squishiest part of the sole tore within a week. These would be the most perfect shoes on Earth if the soles were more durable. For this kind of money, they should hold up to at least a year of daily use.

Bought this shoe because I wanted a lightweight water proof trail shoe for hiking in wet weather. I tried Merrils and Keens but both either leaked or were to clunky. The hokas are the best so far BUT the tong bunches when the shoe is tied and hurts the top of my foot. It also leaks. Better off using a non-wp lightweight trail shoe so the tong can overlap.

These hiking shoes are a winner! They are very padded, fit well, good arch support and I think they will be perfect for exploring cities and walking 10-12 miles per day when traveling. I have given up on stylish, urban travel shoes as I cannot find any that are comfortable. I wore my running shoes on my last trip and while they were VERY comfortable, about two weeks into the trip, I developed ankle pain. So, in preparation for my upcoming trip, I was fitted for custom orthotics and I decided I would try hiking shoes as they are more supportive. I bought some Merrell Moab 2 WP low tops at the local sports store. I thought they would be perfect but after several hours of wear on very hard surfaces, I could tell they did not have enough padding for me. The local charity shop will be very happy to get them! So, back to the beginning. Thanks to Zappos, I was able to order many styles and sizes of hiking boots. All were very nice and some of them may have worked but I couldn't wear them outside to test them and I did not want to make another expensive mistake if they turned out to not have enough padding. But, as soon as I put on these HOKAs, I knew this was the one. The padding is plush, cushioned, soft and supportive. The overall shoe itself is very supportive and fits true to size. I have had HOKA running shoes in the past and was familiar with the brand's comfort and fit. They cup my heel and that helps keep my ankles aligned which I think will reduce the probability of ankle pain on extended trips. Another added benefit is that they are waterproof which makes them perfect for cold, wet weather travel. They are also able to accomodate my custom orthotics in my normal shoe size. I did not have to size up for the shoes to handle my orthotics. As a reference, I am a 9 in most shoes, 9.5 in Asics 2000 & Merrell Moab, 10 in Brooks Addiction. I took my normal 9 in these boots -- my toes are not squished and again, they handle my custom orthotics.

This will be my second pair of this style. I wore my first pair hiking in Scotland through rain and snow. My feet stayed dry and warm. They run a little wider, but I like that.

Tried 9 1/2 and 10, and the smaller size was just right. My heels were lifting out of the 10's, even with double inserts and thicker socks. I have an overgrown bone on my left foot and I still needed the smaller size. They are the only shoes that do not dig into my arches and hurt my feet. They look great, and don't make my large feet appear bigger than they are (thank goodness). The 3 grey colors with the contrasting bit of pink at the top, and blue at the bottom and on the lace area make them attractive, and they go with all colors of clothing. The tread is good for gripping all surfaces. I am currently unable to try out the waterproof aspect as I am in CA. drought season, but I will be wearing them in Iceland next month, so will let you know how that goes. I wish they were cheaper, but otherwise I love how they feel on my feet!

For a true size 7 it was nice, however, the toe box was too small for my foot. I don't know why they don't make more stylish looking shoes in Wide, they only make one color per season.... This Color was nice, But I had to return unfortunately.

I am very impressed with this HOKA shoe. It is my 4th pair of HOKA's, I love the the stability of the upper shoe. Nice solid sole and rocker toe. Walk in them all day without a problem. I have arthritis at my 1st TMT joint and the Hoka's are a great shoe to help with this. This one is by far my favorite so far.

This shoe was perfect for my trip to Scotland- super for trails and truly weather proof for all those showers. As a laced shoe I was able to accommodate my narrow foot for a good, overall fit. No blisters or rubs??.I highly recommend this shoe for its overall comfort,light-weight and good fit.

started PT for plantar fasciitis and was "prescribed" Hoka shoes (along with Saucony and New Balance). The local store didn't have the Saucony to try and I didn't like the NB but bought the Hoka's. HOWEVER, I wanted waterproof shoes that I can wear in a park or a rainy day without getting wet feet through the mesh tops on most sneakers. The local store didn't carry any, but Zappos did. YEAH! If you overpronate like I do, and am flat footed, give these a try to alleviate that inward roll. Comfortable although still finagling with my lace tightness.

These shoes were really comfortable, but they seemed to run smaller than the 3 other size 8 Hoka (gym) shoes I have. I tried wearing regular thickness no-show socks with these, but they were tight for those. For a hiking boot, I’d like to have it where I’m not just stuck wearing “thin” no-show socks only, you know? And I guess I could go up to an 8 1/2, but it’d be too big on my (right foot) size 7 1/2 foot...so, I sadly need to return these. That’s ok, I still love my 3 Hoka gym shoes...THOSE fit true to size!
