I got this jacket to commute from the south shore to Boston every day on a motorcycle. I have also ridden from south shore to portland, maine. it is currently winter here in massachusetts. so that means snow and cold temperatures. when people have said this jacket is not warm they must be clueless because I recently rode from the berkshires to south weymouth in my motorcycle. it was a 2.5 hour ride at 25F...the thing is wind factor. at 85 mph that's 0F and I never got cold whatsoever. I ride every single day regardless of the temperature 10-50. get this jacket it's warm. enough said.

Bought this jacket after looking at a few others in the same price range. It's warm, waterproof and looks good on me. Massive in size but I'm not the slimmest so it's great for me. I bought a medium and I'm 5'10. Before buying this I was looking at a Canada goose but this jacket is so understated and it's proper waterproof so it's a better buy for someone who wants style and substance over showing off a patch on your arm.

I don't usually do the review thing, but I've been so impressed with this jacket that I wanted to weigh in. I've had it for a few weeks and have taken from the rain-soaked streets of Vancouver to Calgary in -35, and it's held up under all conditions.
In colder temps (-15 to -40), it needs a base layer to add some warmth. But other than that, it stands up well. I live in Vancouver, so I got it for the typical winter 5 to -5 type temps, and it's been perfect -- never too hot, never too cold. Most importantly, it's kept me completely dry. I'm 6'3, 200lbs and went for a large -- fits great and has enough room to wear a hoodie or sweater under it. I was skeptical about dropping this much cash on a jacket, but it's been worth every cent.

I purchased this product a month ago and it's performing to expectations. It hold up well to heavy rain and the exterior dries quickly. Although I haven't tested it yet in below freezing temperatures, it has been warm enough for hour walks in 6 degrees Celsius, wind and rain with only a tee shirt underneath.

Bought this a month ago and now actively waiting for some colder weather to wear it. Fits incredibly well and is stylish. Construction looks great too. I particularly like the fitting of the sleeve which has an inner cuff to keep out the cold, but it's soft and big enough for my wrists which is rare in a jacket.

Have worn in Europe and the U.S. east coast for a couple winters. Incredible heat retention due to length. Weight is lighter than anything else I've tried in class. Entirely waterproof too. The texture is unique, almost chalky - a nice touch for urban wear. Recommend wearing at freezing and below. The cut is roomy enough to allow layering but slim enough to not look boxy - typical great design from Arcteryx.
Two minor points of feedback that don't warrant taking off a star (and the overall awesomeness of this coat): the cuffs have a tendency to roll a bit, beyond the fold, maybe because the material is a bit softer than most outdoor gear. Could fix this with a firmer cuff or fold on the cuff. Second is the hood drawstring not staying in place when tightness. Arcteryx fixed at no cost but for a hood that's pretty large, and you want to stay in place on cold days, this is essential.

I'm super particular about jackets and finally settled on the Therme. Tried the Outdoor Research Stormcraft parka first and while I liked the materials and overall quality of the jacket I found the fit to be too relaxed. Then I tried the Thorsen and again liked the materials but not the look. It was a little too long and also snug in the hips. I'm 6ft 160lbs and usually a medium in everything but based on the Arc'teryx size guide I ordered a small. The fit of the Thorsen was perfect except for the hips. My main issue was the length though it just seemed awkwardly long. I finally decided to order the Therme and I love it. Small fits perfectly and leaves room for a sweater or midlayer. Looks really nice like a perfect blend between a technical jacket and something more urban. The face fabric has a really cool gauze like texture but feels like it's definitely durable enough to withstand some abuse. Plenty of insulation and overall construction is top notch. No insulation escaping and seams are well made. If I had to find something to complain about it would be the chest pocket being really small. Which is something other reviewers have mentioned but I was still a little surprised about just how small the pocket really is. Definitely not a big deal though and the rest of the jacket leaves no doubt that I settled on the right choice.

Had this just over a month now, and though I've not had chance to test it out in sub zero conditions, I have been able to test it in the cold driving wind and rain of the Peak District. It performs fantastic, wind and rain are easily kept at bay. It's a very toasty coat and suspect it will cope with sub zero conditions quite easily. I'm 5'7" 68kg and bought an xs, the fit is perfect, not too snug but slim enough to look smart for casual outings with enough room to layer up on the colder days. The length is perfect for added protection when it gets windy but not too long to hinder leg movements. The hood is great, plenty big enough to wear a bob hat underneath, the two draw cords allow you to get whatever shape out of the hood you want depending on the weather conditions. Wide and roomy all the way to full on Cyclops mode. Would highly recommend this coat.

This jacket is a must-have for anyone living in cold cities. Design is clean and on point; Gore-Tex cover shields you from wind and rain; down-insulation keeps you warm in any condition. Bottom-line, the range of uses for this jacket is incredible. Also, good value for money compared to other brands.

Great for cold weather use when not exercising (e..g, city commuting, sightseeing). The arms and hood are more insulated than an athletic parka - so your arms and head stay warm. The fit is great - very comfortable to move in. Looks great when you want to be more dressy than athletic wear.

Bought this for my first winter in the Northeast on a friend's recommendation and was not disappointed.
The jacket itself is super warm and soft on the inside, and certainly keeps the rain off on the outside.
The pockets are a little small for very large hands, but are soft inside and have zippers to close them.
There are two breast pockets on the same side (left), one on the outside and one on the inside.
The hood is good and tightens well and also keeps the rain off.
Have worn this say outside a bar in 20 degree F weather and snow and was warm

I live on the east coast and the temperature can fluctuate from -12* to +12* daily. This lightweight down insulated coat provides me the comfort of knowing I am protected in rain, freezing rain, snow or just cold winter weather. Best arcteryx purchase so far! Well worth the money

Sometimes I don't want to look like I'm going out for an outdoor adventure when in fact I'm just hanging out in the city. So glad Arc'tyerx makes urban focused gear! The Therme caught my eye due to it's amazing design. There's no other jacket that looks quite like it. Modern, clean and confident. On top of the aesthetics it functions exceptionally well. Warm and toasty while keeping the rain and wind out. Perfect one piece coat for those winter outings around town!

I bought this in January 2021. Lightweight and ver warm in the harsh Wisconsin winters. It is great in rainy weather and snowy weather. Cannot say enough about how warm it is given how lightweight it is.

Just received it - fantastic. Great typical Arc'teryx cut, finish, and features. Fit is larger (got an L) than my Atom LT (XL) and there is room to layer if needed in very cold conditions. Feels very toasty, like a sleeping bag to walk around in. Great lines, not bulky despite the down, can be worn with sweats to walk the dog or a suit to the opera. The hood is a little stiff but its made to keep you warm, so no issue there. Buy it, my kids think I'm cool when I wear it!

I recently purchased this and have only worn it a few times now. I live on top of a mountain in BC with winter temperatures around -10C being normal. This coat is perfect for me - elegant in its simplicity when it comes to Style, but all business when it comes to Function. Supremely comfortable and warm. Love it.

It's one of my favorite winter jackets in 4 years thanks to warmth, comfort, and style. The jacket is well-styled and the combination with a business suit is a good match. Though Northern Germany's unstable weather in winter, the weather resistance finishing, and the open cuffs with internal gaskets closures keep comfortable. I feel the hood is slightly bigger than other jackets. I'm 1'7m tall and wear S size but even XS might fit me.

Bravo!!
