Looked everywhere for a down insulated and waterproof jacket and couldn't find one. When I found the Therme it was a dream come true. I love this jacket and use it for all winter occasions.
Only con is sizing, like 5'9" 155lbs and slim, when I purchased last year they didn't have an xs option at all, so I bought the s. It fits slightly large even as an s. If I waited a year, I'd have bought an xs.

Great winter jacket - warm, comfotable, good quality. The outer zipper pocket (breast pocket) is a little too small for a cell phone - so need to use the inside zipper pocket.

Perfect casual jacket for cold weather conditions.
Not for hiking and activities.
I'm 188 cm tall and 84 kg weight, slim fit and L size fits me perfect!

This is the only coat to wear when living in cold weather like Cape Cod in the winter. You can wear it casually with a shirt and pants or dressed it up with a sports jacket to protect your clothing. The length is perfect especially since they updated the zipper to a double zip from the top or bottom.
The internal cuffs keep the wind and cold out without being cumbersome.

Having found a few parkas that had the warmth but weren't waterproof, and a few that were waterproof but weren't very warm. I was delighted to find one that did both, and weighed very little too. Highly recommended

To give background, I am an Englishman living in Moscow. We have a very cold winter climate that can range from -20c and bone dry to -0c and sleety rainy conditions, so I wanted a coat that can deal with both situations and I can honestly say that I have found it in this garment.
This coat is sleek, very warm and most important of all, waterproof. I have always worn large arctic parkas in the past which are swelteringly hot to bear on the metro for 30 mins when all you need it for is getting from the metro to the office. With this coat you can simply unzip it and feel cool whilst inside and yet wear just a work shirt underneath whilst outside. This is why I have used the word 'ninja' in my title because it is so versatile for urban cold environments.
I noticed one reviewer stated that the pockets were too small for a pair of gloves and I would say that is accurate. However, the pockets are conveniently positioned to warm the hands and actually remove the need for me to wear bulky gloves, which is why I bought the coat in the first place. I want something light, hassle-free and looks smart. I don't think this coat is designed for places where bulky accessories are essential so if you're looking for an expedition coat, look elsewhere. But if you're looking for a city-smart, warm waterproof coat, this is the one.
One peev would be that I have to adjust the hood as it's too big. This can be a pain when having to do it on the street. Designed for a helmet?? Even in Moscow we don't wear helmets to work.

I have difficulty finding clothes especially coats that fit because of my size and proportions. When I do find them they can look too baggy. This parka is like tailor made for me. It may feel large to people with less weight distribution above the waist, but if you are bulkier in chest, arms and shoulders and a 40-42 waist, this could be your bet. There is plenty of room for a vest (even bulkier than the Arc'teryx vests I use) or heavy sweater to layer under the parka. I took a 30 min walk during a snowstorm just to test the Therme, and it felt great. Kept me warm from beginning to end without overheating. I wore a Cerium vest and wool shirt as layers. The temp was not too low (20 F), that test will come later. The hood worked fine for me, I also wore a light wool cap. Overall very happy with purchase. I also own a Camosun parka which I use for a more business or casual look.
It is lighter and smaller fitting than the Therme (only a thin vest layer possible for me) which is also excellent for my purposes eg. dealing with the winter in New York and Boston without looking like a skier who got lost.

Absolutely love this jacket - I think it's perfect for this years winter season in Vancouver as we have had a lot of that slushy rain/snow - I love the fact that it is waterproof and it is warm!
I'm 6'4" 260 and the jacket fit great for my build and size especially im the arms in an XL with ample room to layer if I was going somewhere colder.

Perfect mix of style and technical features. This is my go to jacket for going to work and out on the town. So warm, so comfortable and incredibly protectant from wind/rain/snow. Cannot reccomend highly enough!

Unbelievably warm but also unassuming and appropriate for business purposes. I walk 20-25 minutes outside daily in the winter downtown with the howling wind. Even on the coldest days (below zero without wind) I still only wear a long sleeve shirt or light sweater underneath. Anything more and it's too hot! Highly recommended. Small Arcteryx logo on the sleeve (not a loud annoying logo that everyone has...)

I had been wearing a Canada Goose Citadel in NY city for a number of years. It was a great coat for freezing temperatures but it was NOT waterproof. Once I tried this jacket on,I knew i would be selling my CG and trading up.
The GORTEX outer shell is great with the rain and wind. Also, the jacket is super light, which is hard to find for heavy duty winter coats.

Okay I admit it I have an addiction to Arc'teryx and it seems I am not the only one. Ran into 3 other guys this week with the same affliction. As a sidenote I am in the middle of starting an Arc'teryx Enthusiast's Discussion Forum so look for it soon.
I love the Therme it is unique in that it's as warm a jacket as any non-Inuit could ever need but it has a look and feel of very high fashion.
All the typical Arc'tyryx qualities are here it is impeccably made with not a stitch out of place and as usual nothing quite looks or feels like an Arc'teryx garment it's a feel, a look and the satisfaction of knowing that you are discerning enough to pay for and appreciate the very best.
For cold conditions I have the Fission SV, Ceres and Therme. The Therme is just a tiny bit less warm than the Ceres but so much more stylish. The Ceres I wear when doing activities in arctic-like conditions. The Fission is my winter go to jacket and the Therme is unique I wear it when I want to feel warm and extra special. Funny ho a jacket can elevate your mood.
It's a jacket you'll keep opening your closet up to take a look at. It's Arc'teryx at their very best and it simply doesn't get better than that.

Put om my Therme Parka for the first time, -on the first Winter Storm in Denmark. Hurricane gusts 35 m/s. Windchill Factor -3 degrees, And heavy rain, that feels like ice. 5 min walk to the busstop and 15 min of waiting. Enjoying myself watching other people freeze, while I was feeling warm and cosy. As the rainstorm bounces off the Gore-Tex Fabric, I remembered why I paid a little extra to get the BEST. Thanks ArcCrew. U saved my day, -and many more to come ;-).

I tried on the 2020 Therme in XL which seemed to fit quite well, although the sleeves seemed a tad short. The main issue was I thought it would be too warm for the UK. I purchased the 2022 Therme in XL and whilst the sleeves are better and the parka should breath better with reduced Coreloft and work well in the UK, the sizing seemed odd. I am a 197cm and 115kg and I am a XL in everything (Atom, Radsten) but this coat in XL seems huge and vastly different to the 2020 model. I am a 46 inch chest and your size guide says XL but it seems a bit big and I may need to size down to a large. It is a great coat but sizing is confusing.

I bought this jacket just before an extended cold spell in Calgary. The jacket is very warm, looks great, fits true to size (I'm 5'9" and 155 lbs and the medium fits me). Two features could be improved:
- front slash pockets are too small. They should be bigger and deeper.
- the "cuff gaskets" are ineffective. They should be longer so that you could fit them under a pair of mitts/gloves. The cuffs are neither thin enough to be able to pull large mitts up over top, nor big enough so that the mitts can go under neath. A cinching mechanism and or longer cuff gaskets would allow you to close the gap between gloves/mitts and the coat.

I like the way this jacket looks and it's overall construction. It's very waterproof and windproof. The outer material is durable but not rough.
I have two concerns...the hand pockets are not warm and the zipper allows cold air in. If the hand pockets were cut under the down insulation rather than over, they would be much warmer. While there is an outer flap that covers the zipper, it still allows in cold air, especially when it's windy. I would expect an inner baffle (like they use around the neck) or different type of zipper to prevent this from happening. For such an expensive and generally well put together jacket, these issues are head scratchers for me. The jacket could be a lot warmer.
