All-Clad

All-Clad Logo
Born of the steel age in 1960, All-Clad Metalcrafters first found its roots as a small metallurgical company that specialized in formulating bonded metals for a variety of industries. Today, from its rolling mill in Southwest Pennsylvania, All-Clad Metalcrafters is the only bonded cookware manufacturer who utilizes American craftsmen and American-made metals to produce a complete line of beautifully finished bonded cookware products.

Because the raw materials are so critical to performance, All-Clad metallurgists specify the metal's formulations down to the chemical composition and microstructure. Since quality always takes precedence over convenience, the metals used in every cookware and bakeware piece are formulated for optimal cooking performance; not for the ease of manufacturing. The signature stay-cool handle is cast from solid stainless steel, and is ergonomically designed for comfort during long cooking sessions. Rivets are formed from high-yield-strength stainless steel, and treated to remove trace elements of iron that could otherwise cause unwanted corrosion. These painstaking efforts result in finished bonded cookware products that maintain the same integrity they were created with, even after a lifetime of service.

At each stage of the manufacturing process, every piece of All-Clad bonded cookware is hand-inspected to ensure it maintains All-Clad quality standards. This extreme scrutiny slows the production process, but guarantees that every piece of bonded cookware that leaves the rolling mill preserves the reputation that precedes it. Whether you're whipping up your very own creation in a frying pan, or cooking up perfection in a gourmet bakery, All-Clad will always over deliver when it comes to performance.

Every single detail receives critical attention. At All-Clad, performance is always paramount, and quality will never be compromised. These are principles that have guided All-Clad from its inception. These are the edicts of the engineers and artisans whose everlasting passion and pride continue to turn bonded cookware into heirlooms.

The 2 quart sauce pan was a gift to a friend. She has collected All Clad cookware for the past 25 years. The 2 quart size is one she didn't have until now. She loves it. This pan is the same high quality as the first pan she used 25 years ago. She is happy to have it in her kitchen.

Sturdy, well-proportioned as to handle's length vs pot size. Very simple but elegant design. Beautiful finish on all parts (top, sides, bottom). Love it.

The picture on line was really nice. Too bad they charged my credit card and then didn't process the order. I received nothing to review.

I bought this pan because a small saucepan was not included in the 10 piece set I purchased. It is perfect for heating smaller amounts for a 2 person family. The D3 cookware heats beautifully on my induction stove. I highly recommend it.

This pot doesn't match the four and three quart pan. It's tall and narrow. The other two are wide and short. Why? The lid or pan is oblong so the lid only lays flat at the right spot. I called support, they sent a new lid and it is the same. Otherwise it's a solid little pot. Just wish it matched and the lid sealed better.

Great pot. I have several All-Clad pots and pans and griddles. Lasted many years, BUT the 4-quart D3 is now separating layers at the top edge: The Middle layer has shrunk down causing a trough or groove, with very sharp edges for the inner and outer layers and danger of severe injury. All-Clad needs to replace it under lifetime warranty.

Hey, I'm a cook, so style points aren't a priority for me. But, if form follows function, and the result is a perfect tool, then yes, we have style liftoff! By the way, these rating categories seem to be better suited to shoes or clothing. For cookware, there is a need for a "Functionality" category or similar quantified rating. Enough of that. At this moment, I am soaking some dried black beans in the pan. Usually, I would soak them in hot water off the heat; with the All-Clad pan, I can ratchet the heat down low enough to create a soaking medium for the beans. Usually this takes 20-30 minutes depending on how old the bean. When the beans have absorbed enough water, I simply turn up the heat and begin the cooking phase. During cooking, I don't have to check the beans too often; just bring them to a boil and reduce the heat to simmer. With this equipment, cooking is achieved at a low flame point on the gas stove, which means there is no need to stir the beans more than once or twice tops, to prevent sticking. Getting technical a little: due to way the metals are layered in the pan, there is, with All-Clad, the advantage of heat being distributed evenly, not only on the bottom, but up the sides of the pan as well. This increases the cooking area of the pan, and allows for extremely even heating. Whaddaya want already?
