I'll admit that I have always thought Altra shoes were not for me. Between the squared off toe box and the zero drop DNA; I just never gave them a chance. That all changed when they came out with the Experience collection and the move to a mid-drop ALTernative. I rushed to my local running store to try on a pair even though I didn't really even need new shoes. That 5 minute walk around the store was all it took. I am a convert - 100%. These shoes feel wonderful. No more hot spots. I can fit lightweight socks for speedwork and thicker cushion for long runs. I've started with the road shoes but you can probably guess what my next trail shoes will be!

After years of running to Torins and Riveras, the Experience Flow has become my new "go to" road running shoe. Excellent fit, comfort, and style!

I think these are my favorite running shoes so far. My only issues are that they feel a little narrow and small(I guess most altras are narrow now). With that said, I needed to go up a half size from 8.5 to a 9. The heel lockdown feels not the best on a 9 but feels great on a 8.5. I wish there was slightly more room in the toebox as well. Someone else mentioned that they had issues with their pinky toe and I also have issues with my pinky toe being squished in these shoes. Other than that I think these shoes are great.

Roughly 200 mi so far worth of running in them with little to no tread wear, If they hold true to the brand they will last about another 300 mi before I stopped training in them and they transitioned into streetwear shoes And

Recovering from knee replacement and this shoe is amazing. Extremely comfortable and plenty of toe room, I can walk all day in these with no issues. Hoping I can get back to running when I'm able.

These shoes have been a game changer for me. I'm fairly new to the zero/low drop wide toe box running game and caught a case of peroneal tendinitis during a rushed transition period. The 4 mm drop on these shoes puts less heat on my calves and Achilles area, which has allowed me to work my way back up to my original 50 mpw load. I was surprised by how light these shoes were, and that's been nice as the do have some good cushion as well. These will be my go-to daily trainers as I transition to a full zero drop when the time is right. Currently walking on Escalante 4 to strengthen calves and Achilles weak points. These are definitely a great shoe for those transitioning into the brand and/or nursing some injuries caused my calf and Achilles overuse. Could not recommend these highly enough. Fit me true to size.

I have been running in the Torins for the last few years. The Torin 7 is like running with blocks they added stack height but there is no cushion so I tried these and they have been great.

I've tried these shoes a few times. Once I got past the initial break in period they felt amazing on my feet and really help with my pronation. They don't feel too heavy yet have great durability for how light they are. If recommended then to anyone wanting to upgrade their running game

I was offered the opportunity to test these out as part of a free promotion and have loved them. I have tried many other brands of running shoes and these are by far the best for my needs. They are lightweight like many other running shoes, but the main differences for me are the comfort level/support, the width of the toe box, and the rocker shape. They also have good breathability and don't cause my feet to get too sweaty which has been an issue with other shoes. I have needed arch supports with other brands but these are naturally supportive enough out of the box. Overall, I really like this brand because of the feel I have while running. My feet don't feel crammed and the rocker shape assists with my running motion to the point where they feel like an extension of my feet. The color options have not been my favorite in the past but this blue color is much more my style and I think they look better than previous styles. I have occasionally gotten comments about looking like a dad shoe, but i think they look fine and I haven't found any other shoes that fits my needs. Altra has turned me into a permanent customer for any future running shoes.

I have obtained these shoes in exchange for an honest review of them. I have found these shoes quite different from the typical shoes I've run in. The toe box provides ample room for my wide foot toes. In fact, it feels like my socks restricted my toes more than the shoe! I have not met a shoe that looked this good with this width. Many times wide shoes look like clown shoes compared to their non wide counterparts. I am flat footed too and gravitate towards running shoes that support my arch. Even though it offers such toe box, the rest of the shoe holds my foot quite well with each step. The upper heel and tongue area secures the back of my foot down into the shoe. These shoes do not offer arch support but on my 2 mile runs and longer jogs, I have not found myself missing it. The cushion has a nice balance of impact absorption with minimal energy loss coupled with the toe design gives a nice push onward. However, I did not feel as if it made me any faster or improved my run times. The shoe laces are longer than I'm used to but nothing outrageous, just worth a note. I have also worn these shoes all day walking a 12 hour shift. The breathability of the shoe is very welcoming which kept sweat away! The higher cushion took some getting used to walking all day and the toe angle push felt awkward when stepping through heel to toe, but these are more for running than all day walking so nothing worth dinging a star on such a nice shoe! Once more while walking, I did not feel the shoe's lack of dedicated arch support strain my foot like some other shoes do. While walking the shoe laces have loosened once or twice when I quickly and lazily tied them distracted while at work, but that could be more user error. Overall these shoes have been a pleasure to run in when the weather isn't raining and will continue to wear to work in rotation with my others! After about 15 miles in these shoes, I would recommend to people with wide feet looking for a light shoe offering a natural run and appreciate a nice bounce forward with each step to keep the momentum going all with a breathable shoe keeping odors away!

These shoes are my first experience using Altra's and I have to say that I am now a huge fan! I was a little skeptical since they're wider than what I'm used to, however after using a runners knot they were perfect.

I received the Altra Men's Experience Flow in blue (model ALOA85NV440) absolutely free and I couldn't be happier with it. These shoes exceeded my expectations in several key areas. First and foremost, the comfort level is outstanding. The cushioning provides great support without feeling too bulky, making them perfect for both casual wear and athletic activities. The wide toe box, a hallmark of Altra shoes, allowed my toes to flare out naturally, enhancing comfort and stability. Design is another highlight. Blue is both vibrant and versatile, easily combined with many different outfits. The overall aesthetic is modern and stylish, making these shoes suitable for a variety of situations, from the gym to casual outings. Durability is also very impressive. The materials used feel sturdy and after a few weeks of regular use, there are no signs of wear. Additionally, the traction provided by the outsole is reliable on different surfaces, providing a secure grip. One of the most notable benefits is the balanced cushioning platform, which promotes proper alignment and a natural stride. This has significantly improved my running experience, reducing stress on my joints and enhancing overall performance. The Altra - Blue ALOA85NV440 men's experience line is a great investment. They offer the perfect combination of comfort, style and durability, making them a great choice for anyone looking for a high-quality shoe. I highly recommend them.

The Altra Running Company which focuses on running, racing, hiking and walking shoes; was generous in sending me, the "Men's Experience Flow Shoe," for free through the BzzAgent Sampling Program. This was done in order for me to review this shoe. I wore this shoe for two weeks before writing this review. This shoe provided me excellent toe and foot arch support while running on both an outdoor running trail and an indoor running track. This shoe was very lightweight and durable when during both running experiences. In times past, my running shoes provided little to no comfort and support for both my toes and foot arch. Also, this shoe appears to be designed for long term wearing due to its durability and flexibility when wearing it. Finally, I would recommend the Altra Running's Men's Experience Flow Shoe to men that are looking for a comfortable, supportive, lightweight and durable running shoe. Also, I would definitely purchase another pair of these running shoes for future wear.

It's essentially the FWD with the tongue and laces of the Torin 7. The upper is nicely improved to be quite breathable. In a world over overly squishy shoes it's nice to have a firmer ride with a solid rocker. Buy a half size down from whatever size you bought the FWD in as those ran short, but these run true to size.

I purchased this shoe about 2 months ago and love it. It's a little stiffer on the foam and really lite. I find that I look forward to this shoe in my rotation.

Couldn't be more pleased with my new pair of Experience Flow shoes. I use them for everyday walking/comfort, yet they seem well purposed as road running shoes too (recalling my past marathon runs). The minimal 4mm drop seems to help add a sense of forward momentum to the rocker design, yet they're not substantially different from the zero drop feature of most Altras. I used to like earlier versions of the Torins, but the roomy toe box, moderate cushioning, neutral support and lightweight feel of the Experience Flow are just right for my activity. The mesh uppers are breathable and nicely designed. It's too soon to rate the durability of these shoes, but straight out of the box they've turned out to be a pleasant surprise. I got mine a half size bigger than my measured size, adding slightly additional roominess for the toes without causing any slippage.

The Altra Men's Experience Flow shoes are a game-changer for runners. Compared to other products I've tried, these shoes stand out for their unique design and exceptional comfort. The foot-shaped toe box provides ample room for toes to splay naturally, reducing the risk of blisters and discomfort during long runs. Some benefits of owning this product include excellent breathability, lightweight construction, and responsive cushioning. The zero-drop platform encourages a more natural stride, promoting better running form and reducing the risk of injury. As someone who enjoys running, I would definitely buy this product. The combination of comfort and performance makes it worth the investment. Additionally, I would highly recommend these shoes to friends and family who are serious about running or looking for a comfortable everyday shoe.
