I live in Southeast Alaska and fish a lot, rain or shine. In intermittent rain, this hat saves the day. No more wet cotton ball caps that chill you instantly, and in heavy rain it works just as well under a hood. I wish I had purchased one of these years ago!

This is my "go-to" hat. Light, rainproof, durable. I replaced my last one due to a stitching flaw and was under warranty. OR proviced great customer service!

rained first day of use and kept me dry. Bright shade of blue which seems to look good, albeit colorful, with almost everything. very very nice quality and rear adjustment strap was simple to use

Everything I've ever purchased from Outdoor Research has been first rate and this is, too. The gore-tex works perfectly and is both dry and breathable, the fit is excellent and the quality is obvious.

Keeps the rain off and looks good at the same time! I like that the wider brim doesn't let drips down my collar. Highly adjustable too.

I work outside in all weather, so this hat is a big help to keep my head and glasses dry. I ordered the blue for my partner, and have had the yellow one for about a year now. Highly recommend!

I've worn this hat out in the rain a few times now and it works great. Stays on my head, too. Very happy to have it.

I bought this hat to replace a standard cap i was wearing with my raincoat to keep rain out of my face and it works like a dream! The old cap would start leaking and inevitably stop serving a purpose. But not this one! I have worn it on a couple hikes too! It is very light weight, adjustable, and most importantly it does what i needed it to! I highly recommend OR to everyone in general, but if youre looking for rain or sun hat (or both) OR has you covered ( literally )!

Great hat that fits well. Used golfing and at work at the golf course. Kept me dry taking the dog for walks. Durable and easy to clean.

I wore this during a good rain. The cap kept my head dry and the long bill kept rain off my eyeglasses so I'm pleased with the product. I like the bright blue Cascade color too.

Very nice hat with excellent quality material and nice shape. I was going to buy this at MEC in Canada, but I didn't because the big OR logo in the middle is not attractive. The small logo on the side of the Outdoor research Radar cap looks much better, but the Radar cap is not as nice. I wish Outdoor Research improves this Seattle rain cap hat and makes it with the same small side logo as the Radar cap. Please see photo I made to see how much better it looks. It doesn't make much sense to just have a big OR logo anyways. Most people don't know what OR stands for. They should have a small OR and outdoor research wordmark so people know what OR stands for and that that's the logo. Please make this hat in Khaki and Navy blue. The black is nice but the other current colours are not that attractive.

I purchased this cap in June, but to be honest, I was a bit disappointed. It's a very good cap in term of quality, but sadly it's slightly too big for me, even though it's supposed to be one size. I purchased similar OR cap (gortex) a long time ago and that one fits perfectly. It's a bit worn out now and I was hoping to replace it with this Seattle Rain cap. Well, I guess I will keep wearing the worn out one for now.

I have worn Seattle Sombreros ever since the first generation of them hit the market. That line of hats are tough as nails. In fact I still have my first one from the late 1980s and it is still waterproof. This ball cap version looks just as durable and fits my big cranium with room to spare and believe me I have a hard time finding hats that are not too tight. OR has consistently made good gear and this cap measures up to the standard. The only problem with it is this; I do not think "one size fits all" will work for people with small heads. But other than that it is a good quality hat that is comfortable to wear even when it is hot.

Great lower profile hat that fits me well and breathes enough, but can still repel some mist and light drizzle. Works great on those days when it's too warm for a beanie, but rain is still coming down. So basically half the year in the PNW.

This cap is a fantastic idea and would have been my go to for wet or dry weather; however, I was surprised at the very poor fit/form/function. It is huge. I have a middle of the road sized head and middle of the road sizing for caps, but this thing felt and looked a bit like a bulbous chef's hat with the extra material. I expected it to be much more fitted for functionality and form and just plain good looks. It has a slider in the back to dial in the hat sizing at the brim so I don't get all the extra material on top. Four of my friends and family agreed - it didn't look good on me or them. The extra material also causes pockets to form on top which will not facilitate water or snow to shed off. Sent it back at a loss of $. Bummer. Please consider a redesign to make it fitted.

I bought it too late to use it for rain (until next year), so I can't comment on how it handles a good downpour, but pair it with a Smartwool helmet liner for a bit of insulation and this is great for keeping a dry head in snowy conditions.

The inside liner of my rain hat disintegrated after six months of use so I brought it to the Outdoor Research store in Seattle. I was told that because I am bald, the oil from my head is causing the liner to fall apart and that I should WEAR A HAT under this hat. Seriously. No return or exchange allowed. Maybe it should carry a warning that bald people should not purchase.
