I waited a full month of wear before reviewing this shoe. This new GT-1000 version 13 is better than ALL the past releases. They are supportive, stabile, good arch support, and my feet, ankles and arches, do NOT hurt after hours of walking. I'm not a runner, so can't comment on running performance. I just needed a shoe that felt stabile, but not confining. Supportive, but not rigid. These fit the bill. Oh, and I needed a 4E extra wide, and these are roomy even for my duck feet. I can wiggle my toes with them on.

fit was spot on (for me, at least). There's good arch support, I have high arches, so this helps me avoid plantars fascitis from cropping up. They are supportive, in that they keep my foot from rolling outward to the outside, yet, they don't feel hard or too stiff. Some 'support' sneakers are just too stiff and restrictive and that doesn't work for me. These are as close to perfect as I have found yet. My son has my same foot issues and he told me "Mom, these are the best shoes, yet" And where I have high arches, HE is flat footed as a duck-yet, he says, he like the arch support. Now, all this being said, we are not runners. We just use these for all around use and walking.

Great shoe

So far, so good. Although I haven't worn this sneakers a long time the fit and sizing seems to be on point. Please note that I always use inserts in my shoes, sneakers and hiking boots for additional cushioning. I am now debating myself whether I will bring either these or my Brooks Ghost 15 on an upcoming Euro vacation. Those old cobble streets put stress on both my footwear and footsies. Am very pleased that my three favorite companies, Asics, Brooks and Merrell are still making the best running, walking and hiking sneakers! Nothing beats experience... Bravo

I have ASICS for years. I order same shoe, same size (10 1/2 4E). This time the shoes were a half size too large, so I returned and ordered the smaller size. No issues and shoes are great.

11 WIDE was perfect for my wide flat, over pronating feet. I ordered the GEL Kayano 30 and loved the fit, style etc. Unfortunately, the sole was too stiff for me, not enough flex. The GT 1000-13 fits as nicely and has a give cushion wise and moves with me. I have gone thru over 10 pairs of shoes and finally found one that works in the affordable price range. Just can't feel good about spending $150+for running shoes.

Like the style and the lightness

These shoes are amazing! I lost a previous pair of ASICS in a flood and brought a fairly expensive of Skechers at a shoe store that had great reviews for support. Major mistake… They are comfortable for a couple of hours then my feet and ankles hurt so badly I can hardly walk. These ASICS impressed me. Day one was a 12 hour, 25,000 step shift and my feet barely hurt. I hadn’t broken them in at all, and they provided so much comfort and support right from the start! I’m still loving them after a week. I walk a lot and put in some long shifts. I also have arch issues - they go quite flat when I walk - and these shoes help me get through the long days very comfortably. Highly recommend!

Better comfort and support than the past three pairs of ON sneakers of comparable specifications.
