I can't believe it took me so long to find Topo Athletic shoes. I have duckfeet (wide forefoot, narrow heel, skinny feet) and also heel pad atrophy. I've had surgery on both feet for severe plantar fasciitis and bone spur removal from the bottoms of my heels. The Atmos style is my first pair of Topo Athletic shoes, and they are most certainly not my last. These shoes tick all the boxes for me for comfort and support. There's ample room for my toes. The cushion is amazing. Seriously, I can't believe how comfortable they are. I can walk again. Before now, I thought walking was over for me. I'm just a regular person, not paid nor have I received any incentive for this review. I just want to share my experience so that someone who is on the fence might be helped by it.

The shoes are great feeling and the material is quality as all my other Topos are; however, I think they are a bit too tall and cushy and since I’m not a runner, I should probably stick with phantoms. The two are very similar except for the extra build up of the sole height. I am sorry to say that I am going to have to return them :(

I love the Topo Ultraventure 3, but the Atmos seemed very tempting and I decided to give it a try. I’m a senior and walk 2-3 miles per day mostly on sidewalk, at about 15 minute pace.
The Atmos has more cushioning and it’s a nice dense cushion, so it doesn’t mess with stability, despite the higher sole. I feel less stable in Hokas because the cushioning isn’t as firm.
I wear an 8M street shoe, and ordered the Atmos (and Ultraventure) in size 8.5 M. Good wiggle room, and love the soft upper, wide toebox and narrow mid foot and heel. I bought the rose color and it looks more like a neutral peach to me. Not super bright. I wish the midsole wasn’t white, but something close to the shoe color. I hate white midsoles.
My senior feet are still pretty neutral, with few issues, but Topo seems to have become my go-to brand now.

As a bedside RN with chronic plantar fasciitis and more recently metatarsalgia I am very picky about my shoes, and also have custom inserts. I am also very active and wanted to find shoes that would be great for work but also walking in my free time. I had worn Altra for many years but last pair was a little underwhelming. I have been wearing my tried-and-true Birkenstock Londons while looking for a more cushioned shoe & I am so glad I found Topos!!! The cushioning is very nice, seems to relieve my metatarsalgia, love the feeling of my arches being hugged, as well as the heel cup. I still have to wear my inserts for more robust arch support at work but the overall fit is much more supportive than my prior Altras, and the wide toe box feels luxurious! Planning on buying another pair to wear outside of work:)

I am using these Atmos for daily training runs, especially for longer runs. As always, the toe box is roomy, but fits well at midfoot and heel. To me, these are even more comfortable and cushy than the Phantoms.

I love these shoes ! I just did the Rock and Roll Half marathon in San Antonio wearing these shoes and got 4th place in my age groups. My feet felt great. No blisters, no hot spots. I had been having problems with the bottom of my foot but ran the half marathon this morning pain free!!!!! Next test for these awesome shoes is Houston half marathon in January 2024! I am forward wearing these for my training for Houston . Happy training everyone. I hope everyone love these shoes as much as I do!

This shoe is fantastic and I am the pickiest person in the world when it comes to running shoes. The cushioning is perfect in that it is not too squishy and dead feeling, or brick feeling. The fit is great, I can get locked in and don't have to worry about heel slippage.
Ten mile run right out of the box and as soon as I finished the run I was looking forward to my next run! This is the shoe that I will keep choosing when I head out for a run.
This is the best shoe I've run in, in years! Great job, Topo!

I started out a few years ago with the Ultrafly and loved them, but there are so many concrete roads where I live that I needed something cushier. Plus, I'm in my 40s and have been running for 30 years, and with intermittent knee and Achilles pain, I need the extra support. The Atmos fits the bill, with excellent cushioning that isn't so squishy that it messes with my stride. The shape of the shoe is also perfect for me, with the wide toe box and narrow heel and a mid-range heel-to-toe drop.

I have been pretty much hobbled since having being diagnosed with neuroma and bunions. These shoes are outstanding! I am out hiking forest trails again and my feet feel great. Highly recommend. Would like to have another pair in blue.
I'd also recommend:
These are the only shoes for me!

Finally, foot-shaped shoes! Why are not all shoes foot-shaped? No wonder people in America and Europe have mangled feet by the time they're old (and sometimes by middle age). These were fantastic shoes! However, I had to return them, because the low drop (heel to toe height difference) made my ankle hurt. Also I have plantar fascitis, so I can't have zero-or-low-drop shoes; I need the slight heel in my athletic shoes. Too bad! Otherwise these are great shoes. For someone who doesn't have foot issues, they would be perfect.

As advertised this is a wide shoe. The toe box is extra roomy. This shoe is cushiony and beautifully made but overall, the shoe is just too big for my narrow heel. I tried many different insoles and socks in combination and just couldn't keep my foot from moving aroun.

I have hammer toes and I find topos to be the most comfortable footwear. I have 2 pairs of atmos: pink and white. I wear them all the time and get lots of compliments. You need these shoes. You won't want to wear anything else after trying them. Spend the money, you won't regret it.

The balls of my feet have always been sensitive. Following a sprained ankle, I developed plantar fasciitis in my left foot. I tried all sorts of shoes and inserts while recovering, but it wasn't until I found the Atmos that I was able to return to 3 miles of brisk walking a day. This is the best shoe I've ever found for comfort, stability, arch support and fit. So grateful for this review. #sweepstakes

Wow! This shoe is sublime. As soon as I put them on in the morning, I feel like running. The cushion is stacked and feels like a cloud. I use these for everyday lifestyle, road running, and urban hiking. The fit is true to size, wide toe box, and breathable. I love these shoes. And, I love the Topo brand. I now own these, the Ultraventure 3, the Trailventure 2 WP, and the Revives. Each are worth every hard earned penny. Thank you Topo! If you're considering changing from the Altra brand, do it now. You won't regret it.

Replacing the Topo Specter. The first run was cushioned but still springy. Love the Topo toe box and the 5mm drop. These are great for my knee and foot pain.

Love the toe box on this shoe! Wide enough to comfortably accommodate my bunions with room to spare. And very cushiony. Will be great for HIIT workouts.

I walk a lot, used to run but ruined my knees. Got new ones (knees) and now I can only walk. The wider toe box, the secure midfoot, and the perfect cushioning is what I love about these shoes. No more scrunched up toes.

I was fitted for a cushion and neutral shoe at Fleet Feet store and for the last 5 years I wore Brooks Glycerin model.
I was due for new pair of shoes and wanted to get the Topo model with the same specs that I was fitted for: cushion and neutral.
After trying Topo Atmos I was like “where’s this been all my life?”
It’s like love on the first sight.
They are exactly as described:
1. roomy toe box (this was not the case with Glycerin)
2. True to the size
3. Comfortable out of the box
4. Excellent arch support (I can’t find this with any shoe except Birkenstocks)
5. Heel is nicely cupped which gives you some stability
Other reviews might say it’s like a clown shoe due to the roomy toe box but for me comfort comes before looks because I have high arches and a high instep and I always struggle with shoes.
This is a winner for me and I highly recommend at least trying it.

I am a walking tour guide and before I found this new magic shoe it had become a painful, burning misery. My bunions would scream in agony after every tour hour two.
No more. I am in shoe heaven. As a small size, wide foot woman, the large toe box and narrow heel give me a perfect, and perfectly comfortable, fit. I am a little concerned that when I went back in to order a second pair in white the wide option was not offered. What's up with that?

Incredibly comfortable without feeling too squishy. Often max cushion makes it feel like I lose some energy on each push off but with these they are soft but somehow still responsive!

I've been looking for an alternative to Altra since they sold the company and changed their shoes so much that I do not like them anymore. Super glad I found this in Topo. Absolutely love these shoes and they will be my go to running shoe for the foreseeable future.

I really wanted this shoe to work. Topos are so well made. This shoe has very comfortable cushioning. The heel and middle foot fit but that just isn't enough to stabilize my low volume foot in the very wide toe box. I tried multiple insoles to customize but it didn't stop me from falling over my feet. These shoes are for wide feet.

I used to wear Altras, but since they got bought out, every style of shoe they make are now way too narrow and they've moved away from their foot shaped shoes. Topos was suggested to me and I love the idea of them. I've tried about 4 different styles from this brand and always the toe box is perfect. That's something I hope they never give up. The Atros have the perfect amount of cushion and they are a really great shoe. I felt like they were stable and the sole was just right. Unfortunately for me, my feet are more box shaped than peanut shaped. And almost every Topo I've tried is ridiculously narrow in the midfoot. After wearing these for awhile, the bottoms of my feet start burning. I've tried to play with the lacing to loosen them up, but no go. I bought 8.5 wide in women's. By the way, kudos for trying to be inclusive and offering wide sizing. Please work on better color options for the wide footed folks though. We all memorized the color wheel in art class too. The length and volume are great. But even with the wide sizing, the midsole was just too narrow. I worry that if I tried a women's 9 wide, they'd be too big length wise and my heels would slip around. I'd try the men's 7 wide, but 1, Topo only offers wide sizing in one color and the men's wide size is navy, which I'm not super into and 2. I think the midfoot would be fine, but then the toe box would be TOO wide. I'd love to find a shoe from this brand that just fits to perfection as soon as I put it on, as I love the idea of a company trying to make feet shaped shoes for the masses. I just wish my feet were more in line with your designs!

I love, love these shoes. I actually bought 7 pairs for Christmas gifts to my whole family (well, I had to choose a different style for the guys but still). I am not a runner or a hiker, just an 80-year-old walker who can't believe how great these shoes feel. I only wish Topo would make sandals as well.

My podiatrist recommended these. I have been a Hokka wearer for years. I had extensive surgery on my foot over the summer. I decided to try these now that I am back to a more normal routine. I can't believe how much I love these right from the start. I don't feel like they need to be broken in. So much cushioning they feel great.
Highly recommend!!
