Nice continued performance evolution of the Speed. They just don't feel as cushioned as the 3.

Slight update from the third version, I do feel them to be slightly snappier and quicker but no significant changes. Overall all the iterations of the speed have amazing so far in their versatility. I have gone through multiple pairs of first three versions and expect the same for version 4!

Great shoe when I went a half size up from what I wear in ASICS, Nike, and adidas. I can wear true to size in the endorphin speed 4s without socks for the same experience, but with socks the true to size pair felt cramped in the forefoot, slippery in the heel, and all around clunky.

I didn't know what I was going to think when first getting these running shoes but I'm glad I have them a try. After trying them on and taking a few steps I could already tell my run was going to be smooth and every step in took sure was. Very light weight and fit really well.

I'm an elementary school physical education teacher so I'm on the move all day every day. I typically go through a pair of shoes each semester before the support has been worn down. These feel amazing like I'm walking/running on clouds. My only concern is long term hold up as the toe area of the shoe is actually kind of like a mesh - you can see the dark color socks I'm wearing in the picture through the shoes. I take care of my shoes but I also work hard and I could see something snagging a hole in there. Time will tell. These are great and I wish the purple was blue. Not into the current color schemes.

It feels like you're walking on a cloud. So much that it takes a bit to gain your balance when you first start to wear them. They are very comfortable but not for 10 hour shifts on your feet. They seem a little tight and start to hurt my feet after awhile. I like the design and the way they make me feel bouncy.

I feel like I can do anything in these shoes. I did my entire marathon training block in them and absolutely made me a saucony fan.

I don't love these as much as Speed 3. The sole feels stiffer or "harder," even after break in, and also compared to the Endorphin Pro, which I do love. But I like them enough to keep them in my rotation. I wanted a daily trainer so I don't need to use the Pro, with its carbon plate, for every run. Also, I ordered the "Olivine" color, which looked good on the website but is a little strange in actuality. It's fine, just not quite how I expected it.

I have been a big fan of the speed series, LOVED the speed 2s, although they were a bit tight Liked the speed 3s a lot, got over 500 miles out of them! That shoe grew in the right areas for my foot too. I use these as my daily trainers. The speed 4s now, it feels like a boat of a shoe compared the previous 3s. Its feels extra long on the foot, like I got a half size bigger which I didnt. Its more narrow in the toe box much like the 2 was but doesnt seem to have that bounce or pop I fell in love with from the 2s through my first 50 miles. It feels firm under foot, Im hoping as I put more miles on them, they will break in a bit. I know the speed 5s are coming this summer, hoping those will return to form.

I really wanted to like these as much as the 3rd generation. I put over 400 miles on my previous pair. Initially, I was a big fan, but after putting roughly 150 miles on them, I developed a constant ankle pain that was quickly fixed by running in different shoes. Ive tried using them since, but keep having the same issues. Still a great walking shoe though.

Great feel and performance. Have the amount of heel support I expected and still remain very light.

So far, I am enjoying my Endorphin Speed 4 shoes. I use them strictly for walking - about 6 miles per day, and they are holding up well. Light and comfortable shoe, nice looking. Love the support!

I would not recommend buying these shoes. I had two pairs of Speed 3's and they were the most versatile shoes on the planet. The Speed 4 is the least versatile shoe on the planet. The Speed 3 was very cushiony, responsive, and fast. You could walk in them, do speed intervals at sprint speeds, and run races, even marathons, in the Speed 3. The Speed 4 has a very firm sole and is not responsive at all. They are more like $80 shoes you would wear with jeans or shorts. They are very firm to run in, there is no rebound so it is like running in sand, and they are a little clunky. The only people I could see liking this shoe are people that wanted to use this shoe specifically for speed training. Those of us that want an all around shoe that is excellent at everything will need to find something else since the Speed 3 is now discontinued. I also have pair of Pro 4's. Those are pretty close to what the Speed 3 used to be but even better. You can run slow, run fast, sprint, do speed intervals, etc. So, if you loved the Speed 3, now you will have to pay an additional $55 to replace them, or find another brand where you can still get an all around excellent and versatile shoe for $170 instead of having to pay $225. The shoes are well made, I just don't feel like they will be suitable for most people. This seems like a money grab by Saucony by forcing people into a more expensive product. One recommendation I will make to Saucony is to make the Speed, Pro, and Elite all of the same shape/fit. The shape of the Pro makes them feel fast and professional with their wide, rounded toe box. The Speed 4 has a much different fit, again, more like a clunky shoe that you would wear with jeans or shorts. If I'm going to be switching between the Speed, Pro, and Elite, I want them all to be the same fit. They can have different specification such as nylon plate vs carbon plate, or higher or lower stack height, but make them all have the same fit so I feel like I'm wearing the same shoe for speed training, as well as distance training and races. I got my Pro 4s free due to a warranty claim on the Speed 4. I will not pay $225 for shoes if I have to buy them. Bring back the Speed 3 or I will be looking elsewhere for my next pair of shoes.

My star comparison is to the Endorphin Speed 2. In comparison the toe box feels tight and the shoe less responsive. I feel like this is a standard trainer priced at carbon plated prices. It will be a good daily trainer, but I don't see it living up to the love I had for training and racing in the Endorphin Speed 2.

Don't like running in these. Uncomfortable for long distance, doesn't have comfort of other daily trainers, and ironically feels slow to run in despite the name. Wish I could return. Love Endorphin Pros but Speeds really missed the mark.

Love the comfort of these shows. My third pair. That said........ the first two pairs fell apart. The tread came off which was really surprising since I hadn't used them that long......... I hope this pair lasts. If it weren't for the comfort, I would not buy again because of durability vs. cost. Not good.

Just ran my first marathon in these at Disney. I really loved the first gen speeds, so I chose these, hoping I would love them just as much as the first model. When I wore them for my first long run, about 16 miles, they seemed like a completely different shoe compared to gen 1 speeds. While they were supportive and provided good energy return, my feet were just in pain by the end of that run. Slightly disappointed, but Im glad I gave them another try. After about 25-30 miles in the shoe, they felt much better and I was finally comfortable making this my marathon shoe. They held up during the marathon, finished it in 4:02. If I could change anything about these, it would be the toe box. Ive got wide feet and by the end of that marathon my toes were pretty sore, I think a wider toe box would have relieved some of that pain! All in all, I really enjoyed these, I even prefer them over the endorphin pro 1s and 2s. Looking forward to continue wearing shoes from the endorphin line, very fun to run in!

Ive been running with the shoe for about 100 miles by now, and I somehow got used to it. However I like the Saucony Ride a little better. The Endorphin Speed 4 feels maybe a little more cushioned than the Ride but therefore a little more indirect on the road.
Because of the soft foam on the heel guide, its sometimes a little harder to slide effortless into the shoe, since the foam folds Inside. Then I have to pull it out again with my fingers or have to start over getting into the shoe.
I also have the feeling that the durability of the profile under the heel might wear down pretty fast. No big deal though since I get me new shoes after 400-500 miles anyway.

It's been a while since I tried other brands, and today I ran for the first time with my Sauconys. I did a 20-minute warm-up, followed by 5 x 1-mile repeats with 2 minutes of rest, and finished with a 10-minute cooldown.
While my friends were rocking carbon-plated shoes, I went with the Endorphin Speed. I felt like I had to push myself harder to keep up with them, whereas with the Nike Alphafly 3, I feel more like Im floating, if you know what I mean.
That said, I didnt mind the extra effortI liked them and will definitely keep adding more miles with these!

Love this go-to running shoe. After previously loving the Endorphin Speed 3, I figured Id upgrade to the Pro. That is also a great shoe, but it is most definitely a light, thin, race day shoe. Needing more of an everyday trainer that could also be used to race, I got a pair of Speed 4s. They met my needs so well, fit wonderfully and cushioned my feet so perfectly, that I bought 3 more pairs for the color combinations and to rotate them on my runs.

As someone who has had some pretty extensive foot surgeries but still wants to run and be active, these shoes are the perfect answer! Every step is cushioned, and the shoes breathe and perform exactly like I would want a running shoe to do!

I tried buying a pair on Black Friday with an additional discount code. The order initially went through but was then cancelled because they claimed it was out of stock. I then went back to the website to look again and it says the shoes were not out of stock. I just then decided to buy a different color, but this time, they took away my discount code. I then decided not to purchase the shoes and instead went to Adidas.

Durability of the upper canvas was a major problem for me. I'm a masters sprinter so shoe time under pressure is measured in seconds. Blew thru two pair of these in six months. Construct out of parachute nylon instead of recyclable materials.
