I have been a loyal Hoka customer for about 5 years now and these are the absolute best for my age and level of running! My feet have never been happier!

I've been wearing HOKA for about 5 years. I mainly live in the Bondi, use Stinson on trails, and full-on hikers in winter. I've got chronic pain from cranky SI joints, so a softer sole is more than just comfort for me - the plusher the ride of the shoes, the farther/longer I can go & the less pain & inflammation I'll have afterwards. These Skyward X are unfreakingbelievably luxurious. The cushion is flat-out mind-boggling. Thank you, HOKA!

I use these to run/walk on the treadmill. They feel like running on a cloud.

Ran my first 10k the day after they arrived. My goal was an hour to an hour 10, but I was at 55:24 pretty sure it was all in the shoes no but seriously, my previous shoes were worn down, I wanted the carbon plate and the added stack and stiffness was perfect. My feet were happy

The best! I love these and will buy them again and again. I work out with HEAVY weights (squats, leg press, deadlift) and walk 3.5 miles every morning, and these make that possible. The very best!

These are my FAVORITE pair of Hoka’s. I have tried several styles, and this one is the most comfortable for my feet. I am a teacher and on my feet all day. My plantar fasciitis doesn’t bother me much at all when I wear these shoes. I will definitely be buying in other colors.

I used to have foot pain when I walked in Cr*cs. As soon as I put on HOKAs, my foot pain was GONE.

I thought Bondi 8's were most comfortable shoe I had ever worn (have no fat pads on soles of my feet, so rarely find shoes that are comfortable. But when I stepped into these cushioned angels, now I don't even want to wear my Bondi 8's. They just have the ugliest colors. I need all black for traveling with a capsule wardrobe. Please make these in women's (I can probably wear these 3 colors with 99% of all my clothing.

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn! I can walk all day and my back and knees and feet will not hurt! But in other shoes, I am in a lot of pain and can't move around.

I have so many foot/ankle issues: flat feet, pronation, neuropathy, excessive heel strike, an ankle that has been broken twice and is very osteoarthritic, osteoarthritis in my toes. I need an ankle replacement but the long recovery time isn't feasible so that has to wait. I'm in pain on that side pretty much every step I take. My PT recommended the Hoka Gaviota. I wore them for a year and enjoyed them, but didn't find them better than other brands' plush/stability models. Still seeking across the landscape of all shoes for some pain relief, I thought I would try Skyward. OH MY GOSH these are so great. They're big, yes (and I wear a women's 11 so mine are *really* big) but they're light so they don't feel too clunky. They hug my feet securely at the ankle and midfoot but there's plenty of room in the toe box. The cushioning makes SUCH a difference for my ankle and knee pain. These are legitimately the only shoes I've worn in the last decade that I don't want to take off the minute I get in the door. I'm going to get another pair as soon as some new colors come out! (Please make more colorways that don't have a white sole or a white upper!)

I am in love with the skyward X! These make such a huge difference with my runs. They cradle my feet at give me the lift I need after every time my foot strikes the ground, I feel the shoe spring me forward into my next step. My run times are faster and my feet and legs don't feel nearly as much fatigue as any other running shoe, including other Hokas I have ran in! I'm buying these again.

Skyward X is a success!. This is third pair of Hoka's. Need stability and comfort for walking for this "Lady". Cushion and arch support is noticeably greater than the Clifton or Bondi. Disappointed Skyward X are not in the Wide width. Thought I would try them anyway. Ordered my typical size (7) and the Skyward X were too small both in length and width. Immediately exchanged for a half size and the fit is better in the toe area. A little big now on the ankle. The exchange went perfectly and fast! I feel more confident going for walks.

I wore these shoes day one for my 13 hour work shift in the ER with zero foot pain at the end of the day. I would have to say wearing these hokas was like walking on a cloud hand picked from God. 15/10 recommend!

I bought bondi 9 as soon as it came out. I have 4 pairs of the bondi 8 and 2 of the skyward X. The bondi 8 was the only shoes working for my very painful feet but after almost a year of alternately wearing them it's not working anymore. When I bought the skyward X I felt relief with my feet so I bought another one. And as soon as Bondi 9 came, I bought it and seem not as good as the Skyward X. I will keep the Bondi 9 but hoping Skyward X will be released more with neutral colors.

This is the best and most comfortable Hoka I have worn. And I have many many pairs. I am not a road runner. I am 67 and walk between 5 and 8 miles on a treadmill daily. This shoe makes that a breeze. No pain in my hips. I wish these came in more colors. I would buy everyone of them !! I love this shoe !!!

I have never left a review for a product before - good or bad - but I had to let the other foot pain sufferers know about the magic that is this ridiculous looking shoe. I have had chronic achilles tendon pain in both legs for the last four years. Too many years of crappy shoes and never letting a few running injuries heal properly has left me with unrelenting pain. Can't remember if the tendon issue ended in -osis or -itis but Every. Step. Hurt. I had surgery on the right leg in September. After 6 weeks of no weight bearing for a total of 4 months so far in recovery for my right leg, my left achilles is shot. Holiday shopping and celebrations were excruciating. All I could think about was where was the closest chair. Walking any farther than absolutely necessary was out of the question. (Even with 2x wk PT) After lamenting to my Orthopedic surgeon that I wasn't sure how I was going to make it a year to get surgery again he suggested Hoka. Specifically Skyward. I told him no because they are ugly and my feet are too big. Vanity at its finest. Thankfully, pain won out and I was so desperate I bought the super expensive shoes. Magic. There is no other way to describe it. From the very first step, my left foot and leg was completely free of pain. I know it's real because my right surgery foot is still stiff and sore from healing. The left feels like I could run again, that's how completely magical these shoes are. I know I sound like a lunatic and every foot is different but for me this shoe is a life line. I usually roll my eyes when I hear people giving testimonials saying something has given them their life back but honestly, for me, these shoes kinda have. The toe box is roomy, the heal is cushioned and the arch is supported. The carbon fiber thingy must be working too because I can 'walk through' my foot, not do the stiff foot walk I've perfected to mitigate the pain. Magic. For real.

This is the second pair of SKYWARD X shoes I have purchased. I absolutely love the plush, soft ride I get. My knees are grateful for the extra cushion.

I was very leery of paying so much for a workout shoe, however it's the best investment I've ever made for my plantar fasciitis. This shoe has so much cushion and so comfortable I'm very happy with my investment.

This is an awesome shoe. I am getting up there in years and have arthritis (osteoporosis and rheumatoid) so I need lots of support, which these shoes offer. Also the shoes tongue is padded so my feet do not hurt anymore on top of my foot. When I wear my other shoes I need to take them off after 2 hours, the pain is unbearable. Put these shoes on and wore them for 4 hours without pain. I highly recommend this great shoe. Great support, boxy toe, I am impressed.
