I wear extra wide shoes. For an upcoming Alaska trip waterproof shoes are highly recommended. These are very nice looking shoes & the laces are great. I can fit into these but am definetly cramped. But they are waterproof. I bought them & guess that i am stuck.

Stylish shoe and more stable than the Clifton 9. Unfortunately, the shoe is very snug around where the second shoelace loop is. I learned that this is because the tongue at that part of the shoe is sewn to the rest of the shoe. I even went up half an inch to adjust for this, but the shoe was still very uncomfortable. I only felt comfort once I cut the rest of the tongue away from the shoe, which defeats the purpose of the GTX. Also, because of the materials used to make the upper part of the shoe, the shoe makes a weird sound when I walk. The sound comes from where my feet and toes bend. Think of the sound rubber rain boots make as parts of it bends/collapses and goes back to its original form. If you ever find these GTX shoes in store, try it for yourself. Hold the heel in one hand, and the toes in the other. Simulate walking as you bend the heel or toes up.

The shoe is made for narrow feet. No options for wide sizes.

I wear a women's 11 W, but Hoka does not make shoes with Gore Tex in women's wide sizes. So, I decided to try this men's shoe, as a men's medium is usually like a women's wide, with the risk that the heel may be too wide. I tried men's sizes 9.5 and 10. Both would have worked as far as length, but the shoe was simply too narrow. I returned both, and I don't think sizing up to a 10.5 would work. Unless you have a particularly narrow foot, don't bother with this shoe.

I want to love these. They are everything I'm looking for in a Hoka - style, cushioning, the cool no-lace laces, and most of all, the gore tex. But they are SO narrow! I tried wearing them in the office for two days, with minimal walking and even just sitting down my feet were killing me. Come on Hoka! I'm begging for a gore tex shoe in a wide width! Take my money for that now! But in the meantime, I'll be sending these back. Sad face.

Like others, I returned my pair because they hurt my toes and instep. This was disappointing because other than the tightness, the shoes felt wonderful to walk on.

this shoe squeak randomly. Sometimes the left, sometimes the right. Never when cold. Tried different inserts, talc, cornstarch they just squeak with each step. Annoying, irritating and just plain wrong. 2 of 3 hokas have done this to me so thats it

One of the loops that hold the laces broke within 1 month of normal wear. One on each shoe, so they are both now uncomfortable to wear. In my opinion this is due o poor design and too little fabric being used on the strap leading to fraying too close to the seam attaching them to the shoe. This is a design flaw. I shipped the shoes back to be inspected, but the warranty team declared the damage as 'normal wear and tear' and shipped them back. The broken shoes are not eligible for warranty. They will not replace or refund for poorly designed and broken shoes. I will not be purchasing from Hoka again.

I bought these because I needed a new pair of shoes, and I am on my feet most of the day. I walk home through a major city, so I figured these would be perfect. I was wrong. For the first few months, they were incredibly loud, squeaking every single step. After the squeaking went away, I noticed the rubber tip and sole of the shoes were starting to come loose. Shortly after this, the connecting fabric that the shoe lace goes through completely came undone, so there are no lace connections in the middle of the shoe. I ended up going back to the pair of running shoes I had before this pair that were in better shape after multiple years of wear. For the price I paid, this quality was absolutely terrible, and I can't recommend these shoes to anyone.

I bought this shoe to help my plantar faciitus . It helped tremendously So much so I needed a second pair after wearing out the first pair in 6 months. The second pair started this horrible squeaking after a month. The squeak was not from the rubber touching the floor like at a basketball game. The squeak was coming from inside the shoe with every step you hear squeak , squeak squeak. Its horrible . It is driving me crazy . People hear it and wonder whats wrong with you. I was at my wits end and needed to try something .I started making incisions on the bottom tread about 2 vertical and 3 horizontal to try to loosen up something . I really didnt know what would happen but this did not help. I called Hoka and they said this voided the warranty. Just my luck. They need to redesign this. I believe there is a spot on the tread that isnt bonded correctly. Too expensive for this nonsense

Width D is very tight, especially at the top. Does not fit true to size.

Some positives, they look nice and are comfortable to walk in. However, after walking 3-5 times a week for a couple of months the sole is already worn out and I have no grip. It's incredibly disappointing, given that the shoes are advertised for talking on pavement and they're Vibram soles, that any sort of normal walking routine absolutely trashes these shoes. This is my first pair of Hoka's and I liked what they had intended the shoes for, but I will not be buying from them again.

These shoes had a squeaking issue and the bottom surface broke and fell off the shoe.

These shoes are comfortable and very cushioned, but unfortunately they both broke within a month. One of the tabs/loops that hold the laces ripped and now neither of the shoes lace properly. Infuriating.

I have bought 2 pairs of Hoka's within a week because I loved them but just today my first pair is already making noises when I walk. This can't be normal it is so bad I took a video because it's embarrassing, not sure how to attach the video

Everyone said that HOKA's were super comfortable, unfortunately that's not my experience. I bought premium shoes hoping they would feel great, however, they give me pain in my arches, too narrow, ( yet I do not have wide feet ) and feel odd under the toes. I was hoping to use them for walking / all around...but I'll need to replace them.

I recently purchased a pair of Hoka Transports. I liked them so much that I bought another pair and upgraded to GTX. What a dissapointment. The GTX hurt my feet. I alternate wearing my Transport and my GTX. The Transorts are comfortable. The GTX hurt. I will be testing Hoka's return policy. I can't wear these shoes.

These sneakers were just as bad as you'd expect it. These were my first HOKA shoes and was excited to get them but day one trying them on they were just ok. My New Balance sneakers were way comfortable. I Coach Volleyball so i'm always standing and was hoping these would relieve some standing foot pain but it made it worse. These shoes are expensive too!!! If this is how HOKA rips people off then i'm never buying from them again and will prevent anyone from getting ripped off. I would rate this a ZERO but i can't

I initially bought this shoe for work, as it boasts a Vibram sole (supposedly extending the life of the sole), as well as other benefits it claims along with the Hoka namesake. Unfortunately, within two weeks, there was a clicking type sound coming from one of the shoes. It was annoying but ignored. Fast forward a few more weeks and one of the soles is bubbled and coming apart from the midsole. It's not worth the hassle of having to mail back the shoes for inspection before a warranty can be claimed, as I would be without shoes for work for that time frame. I am also not confident that a replacement pair would be any different as there are multiple reviews/comments similar to mine. Also, the support and comfort were not up to par for a simple 8 hour day; by the time I got home my feet were begging for other sneakers. Unfortunately having high hopes for this item has let me down and I will not be in a rush to purchase from Hoka again, as it just doesn't seem the quality and craftsman ship they claim is there.

I have 5 pair of Hokas in my closet, and pretty much wear them daily. This one, in my usual size, however, was way to narrow in the front end. The fabric had little stretch, so it was clear in a minute or two that they weren't for me...way too tight and painful.

My problem with these shoes is not with the shoes at all. Zappo shipped these shoes loose, no Hoka box, loose in a huge box. What gives, makes me think they were returned with out a proper Hoka box. I will not buy expensive Hoka shoes without their factory box. Are they knock off shoes, returns , what are they?

Just as society determines what is fashionable or not, these shoes fail to meet the standards of desirability and comfort. It's sole is hard as a brick. Hoka's is not what I expect their shoes to be. Upon trying on Asics Nimbus and Novablast. I would never buy any Hoka's again!

Not up to Hoka's usual standards, so I returned them. There were white flecks on the toes and soles, and all around the sides. They're supposed to be solid black.
