These shoes are absolutely the worst I have ever tried to slip my feet into. I have bought 3 pairs of shoes from the online store, not one pair had the arch support in the right place. On some pairs the left side the arch support was glued in the right area but to high on the left wall. On the other pair the arch support was glued in the right area but to high on the right wall. Over all; THE SPERRY QUALITY OF THE BOAT SHOES HAS SUNK TO A NEW LOW. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THEM.

Very disappointing. I understand the holiday shipping caused a delay in delivery. The disappointing issue was that the two 10.5 EW shoes were obviously made on two different lasts. The left shoe was physically 0.25 to 0.33 inches longer than the right shoe. The front half of the right shoe was made about 15 too 20 degrees right of the shoe's centerline... toe was duck footed to the right which made it very difficult to be comfortable. I have been wearing Sperry boat shoes for 20+ years... including the Billfish, Mako, and Gold Cup models. I'd have ordered the Gold Cup Billfish, but it isn't offered in Extra Wide. I hope the replacement shoes are made better!!!

The old and trusted 3-eye Billfish is not what it used to be. I have bought same shoe, same size same width for many many years but now i will have to try them on to confirm they fit. Shoes are much tighter, one shoe near impossible.

To narrow base. Either wrong width size or bad design

Poor fit .. ordered as wide but very narrow shoe and very stiff making wearing these uncomfortable to the point I do not use them. My other Sherry wide shoes have fitted great

A wide isn't wide it's just medium. I am sure S/R would prefer not to produce a wide shoe anyway.

Medium width fits MUCH narrower than previous Sperry boat shoes or any other manufacturer's size 12M shoe. Great looking shoe but deceptive design in terms of interior footbed cushioning. AppeRs much more cushioned than it is, basically the same as any other Sperry boat shoe, which is very little cushioning. Bottom line is great looking shoe that you need a wide width of you usually wear medium width, and may need to add a cushioning insole because this shoe is NOT well cushioned.

These shoes were too narrow after getting a replacement pair! The insole inserts were paper and cardboard. Can't recommend them! I had to return them again!

The shoes they were replacing were Bill Fish that lasted over ten years. Outstanding quality they were 10 1/2 wide .The new ones I received At first glance the leather was much thinner all around the size was also a 10 1/2 wide I have worn them a few times and they are very narrow and tight. I was hoping that they would stretch out but hasn't happened as of yet. I suppose I should have ordered the x wide who knew. Overall the quality has sure gone down over the years very disappointed

This an attractive shoe for someone with high arches. For people with low to no arch, they are extremely uncomfortable.

Very disappointed with what would have been my 4th pair of Billfish. Not sure why you had to change a good thing, but the arch of the shoe is terrible. Seems like it is narrower and now your arch comes down on the hard rubber banding of the sole so that it feels like I'm standing on a sharp rock. And the leather around back of heel barely supports itself making the shoe difficult to slip on. Please go back to previous design!

I was disappointed by poor fit: narrow between heel and toe, with far too much arch support. I've bought a pair of Sperry every year, more or less, for two decades now and have never encountered this problem before. They usually fit perfectly. (I've also bought Merrills and other brands for hiking recently and have not encountered this problem.)

These are the most uncomfortable Sperrys I have ever owned. I don't typically wear a wide shoe, but perhaps that would help. I soaked them in water to try and soften them up so they are not not returnable. The sole is rigid and jabs into the bottom/outside of my foot.

The instep was too low: I unlaced it and still couldn't even get it on my foot.

This is my fourth pair of Sperry's and I love them dearly, however this is now the second pair in row with the sole of the shoe coming away after very very short use, this pair being worn for 4 days. The time I had them i loved them. Very comfortable, loved the look (the new light leather color is KILLER!) but the inside stitching for the sole wasn't done properly and any glue there didn't set so on the fourth day the inside of the sole came away and they were not wearable. I contacted Sperry and they've set me up with a return and exchange, however I have to wait extra time for them to come in and am now back to my old and less comfortable pair. Talk about first world problems, right? I hope the last two pairs I have gotten (the previous pair being a canvas pair) falling apart so easily are just poor luck on my part. Hopefully the return and exchange process is quick, I felt like I waited forever for the original pair to be shipped however I may just be used to a certain different retailer and their super short shipping speeds. I'll update the review or submit a new one when I get the next pair. Had they not fallen apart so easily this would be a perfect 5. Hopefully future pairs will hold up better!
