My standard size was the correct fit. It's a comfortable shoe, but the HOKA's are more comfortable for me. This is a Brooks with maximum cushioning but still not quite a HOKA. However, the all black look was good

Tough call on these ghost max shoes. They are very nice looking. I got the grayish/white. I like the look. I typically wear hoka bondi 8. The 7 1/2 W fit me in Hoka. In the ghost max I had to go to an 8 wide, looking for both length and width. Better in length, so so on width. Sending back immediately because they just aren't as stable as the Hoka. The ghost max is lower profile and more attractive but I cannot afford to twist my ankle AGAIN! Ghost Max also propels you forward. No! For me.

I always wear Brooks but these always hurt my knees when I wear them.

my toe rubbed in the upper corner. i need a bigger toe bed

They are to wide they don’t conform to you feet loved the color and style but I’m going to return them

I love the cushioning and support this shoe has, but the toe box is too narrow. I ordered 8 medium, and that is the size I always wear in all Brooks shoes. But this style doesn’t work for me. Sending back.

I still have to get used to the Ghost Max. There is a lot of padding, the sole feels thick and supportive, maybe almost spongy. I feel a bit uneven or unbalanced. I have to say the Ghost 14 was my favorite. I fell last year on an uneven patch of grass, I think the unusual and unbalanced feel I get in the Ghost Max contributed to the fall because it's almost like a walking on air type of feeling... hard to describe. I still prefer the Ghost 14 to the Ghost Max. There is enough room in toe box, however the mesh upper in the toe box seems really thin, not as good as the Ghost 14, and I do expect the big toe friction will make a hole pretty soon. Therefore, I would not recommend the Ghost Max. Please make the regular Ghost with wider toe box and same comfort as the Ghost 14.

Nice. But not good for plantar fasciitis

Brooks ghost has been my go to running shoe and I wanted to love these oh so badly with the added cushioning but sadly they just are not for me. I always wear a wide for a little extra toe box room and these just had too much where it felt there was no support. Additionally I know these are for a neutral stride but, maybe it is just my feet, but it seemed as though there was extra cushioning on the outer portion of the foot causing my ankles to roll in slightly. They were super comfy trying on but I can tell they would cause issues running due to all of the extra room and cushioning so sadly these got sent back, and back to the regular ghost for me!

Too much cushion and ended up hurting my feet after a run. I like more neutral cushion and support. But these would be really great walking shoes or running shoes for those who love a cushiony shoe! Just too thick for my liking.

Padding is nice but almost too much for running. Shoes feel clunky. And I did not like the heel to toe drop compared to previous versions

These shoes seemed to tilt my feet inward just a bit, enough to cause me significant knee pain. I had to stop wearing them and go back to my old New Balance sneakers.

These are very bouncy shoes. Even with my orthotics they were much to squishy for me. I don’t recommend these for anyone with any kind of ankle issues.

Made my knees hurt every time I wore them.

So happy with these shoes!

Never worn Brooks ghost max before, so went with recommendation to go up half size. Excellent suggestion because the fit is perfect and would have been too small otherwise. Lots of support and cushioning for my feet (I have bunions). Read an article that stated this shoe is liked by older women (I'm 77) and I agree.

These shoes fit well, even a bit roomy in the toe-box.

Once again my Brooks purchase was 12/10!!!!! I think I might even like these better than the Ghost 11 & 13! Honestly didn't think that was possible!

These fit TTS, same size that I normally get in the Ghosts. Definitely even more comfortable than regular Ghosts. Love them!

These are very comfortable, and I have wide feet, bunions, and a history of plantar fasciiatis. My only wish is that the extra-wide versions came in more colors, & that Brooks never stops making these. I also would personally prefer a slightly higher arch support, but other than that they're A+.
