The sizing was on point for typical Brooks sizing. My issue was with the lack of arch support. I have plantar fasciitis and have been SO happy in my Ghost 13's and 14's. I jumped to the Max's, but my feet were KILLING me after a couple of hours just like they do when I don't wear appropriately supportive shoes. As much as I wanted to love them, I had to return these shoes.

I was recently dx'd with Morton's neuroma after having pain in the ball of my foot for a month. I went to a shoe store and had my foot measured and tried on several shoes (Hoka, ON, New Balance, Brooks Glycerin). The Ghost Max were the most comfortable. The neuroma pain went away as soon as I put these on. If helpful, I have an extremely high arch and medium width feet. I typically wear a size 6 in regular shoes and size 6.5-7 in athletic shoes (Nike, ASICs). I was fitted for a size 7 in the Ghost Max and have plenty of room in the toe box-there is about a thumb width space between my toe and top of toe box, so roomy without being too big. I have been wearing them for about 1 week and my pain has decreased significantly while walking. Aesthetically they do look wide, but not horrible. I got the navy/charcoal grayish with white sole.

Brooks never lets me down! Dealing with plantar fasciitis and these are so comfortable- stylish too. I have a high arch and neutral gait if you care about these things- these are perfect.

These are the most comfortable tennis shoes I’ve ever had. I wear an extra-wide, and so many shoes look clunky. I don’t know why, but these look less wide yet still accommodate my bunion. They also easily accommodate my orthotics without slipping on the heel. Color me happy.

The Ghost Max is very comfortable. I always buy Brooks, Ghost is my favorite. I read reviews that the new Ghost 15 has less room in the toe box, that's a problem for me. So I gave the Ghost Max a chance, I was desperate.... luckily some reviewer stated that they have good space for the toes which helped me decide. I am so comfortable with these sneakers, I walk... I don't run. I have to say the best fit and comfort is the Ghost 14... I wish I could still get them somewhere. Just FYI I tried the Adrenaline GTS 22 for added support, I am still dealing with t bruised big toe nail!

I upgraded to these from some old Nike Frees and I couldn't be happier. I actually bought Hoka Clifton 9s at the same time as these Brooks Ghost Maxes to see which I liked better, and though the Clifton's felt a little softer, my heel slipped out occasionally so I decided on the Brooks. They are incredibly comfortable to walk and run in, and pretty stylish to boot. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a high-cushion running shoe!

The shoe itself is likely fine for someone with better feet. I have flat feet and bunions. These shoes are lifted at the toe, making the step shorter. and kind of rolling forward. They were very uncomfortable for my particular foot shape.

I've been a true size 10.5 in Brooks for YEARS and these were HUGE! Not only in width but length. Very clunky looking as well. They were comfortable but a little too cushy like walking on marshmallows, so not sure it's the sneaker I was looking for for every day. Plus, there's a little bit of a platform that you could possible roll your ankles if you aren't surefooted. Not the sneaker for me, unfortunately.

Have only run in these three times. I run in the Brooks Hyperion Max for my road runs and marathons. I needed a springy cushiony shoe for dirt and gravel roads. These seem to fit the bill. I have a marathon scheduled in Patagonia next fall and although it is not a trail race it isn’t paved either. I hope these will be what I need. Very cushiony and springy. A little heavier than my Hyperions and the tongue is a bit bulky but it also doesn’t cut into my ankles so that is a plus. I hope they wear better than my Caldera 6 around the heels.

After owning another pair of Brooks that I wore down to the end, I was excited to purchase another! I bought these and they came right away. To preface, I am a teacher. Whereas I don't use these to run or go far distances, I am on my feet all day. These were a DREAM to wear in the classroom and to stand on hard surfaces like tile. After the third wear, I got home and noticed the rubber part on the side of the right shoe was peeled off, with it so close to it coming off I was shocked. After a full day of just being in school, these were only the third day of myself wearing these sneakers. After previously owning another pair of Brooks, I am disappointed of the quality of these shoes. I haven't even worn these for outside walking yet. I plan on speaking with Zappos customer service about this.

Love this show. Like walking in Slippers. Similar to the Hoka Bondi 7. Have bought another pair of the Ghost max as a spare. Well worth it

These are the best shoes but the size nine is too large and the 8.5 is just a tad too tight. I wish they fit me because I like them very much.

Love love this sneaker!! I recently had a big toe fusion along with a bunionectomy and have tried about 8 different shoes/sizes. The Brooks by far out weighed the Hoka’s I tried. I really like the fact that I could move the tongue way back so I could slip my foot into the shoe without hurting my big toe. I also love the support and the white color too. Very stylish and functional. I am now a number one fan of Brooks!! I also liked New Balance but the tongue was attached too much to pull back to get my foot in so I returned those. I usually wear a size 9 but sized up to a 9&1/2.

These are amazing!!! Finally a running shoe with support, cushion and a wide toe box!! Oh I wish these came in trail runners. Us wide tied folk would like more color choices. Please, Brooks, add trail shoes to this modal!!! I’ve tried HOKA’s, Topos, Altras, NOBODY gets that a wide toe box is needed at the actual width of a foot! Thank you Brooks

These shoes are amazing for me. I have knee issues so I like more cushion for running. These lessen the impact and are a smooth run.

Needed a low/zero drop shoe. This one is perfect. I have extreme sesamoid pain and these have been so much more comfortable than anything I’ve worn for a very long time. They are lighter weight than they seem in photos. Will definitely purchase again.

The newest Ghost Max is a great shoe. I wear typically 7.5 in Brooks and ASICS, and Ghost Max feels the same. The cushion feels little stiffer than the newest Nimbus in ASICS, but it doesn’t hurt my metatarsal area. So, I was very happy about that. The particular pair of Ghost I got had a toe imperfection and it was pinching the very top of it so I had to return them. Since there is no white color in stock and in my size, I won’t be getting them until they are back in. Definitively like this Ghost version better than the previous one.
