Inaugurated these shoes on a 5-day trek in Torres del Paine N.P. in Chile with a 50 lb backpack. No hotspots until day 3 (socks a combo of Darn Tough, LL Bean, Smartwool). Kept feet dry even in a spring snowstorm (3+ inches). Happy to be putting them on each morning.

First off the goods. I gave this shoe a 5 star because I have come to really enjoy them. I am 6'2", 250lb with feet that are wide at the forefoot. I have put in about 50 trail miles in my Terraventure 4 WP so far. I love the 3mm stack height (it feels like it is a 0mm). The lugs are still intact and the shoes are still waterproof. The wide toe box is great for my feet and comfortable even after my feet swell. Also, have not had any issues with grip. The bads (in my opinion). I don't know if it is because I am sort of a big guy but I feel this model of shoe should be considered a low cushion shoe even with the so called "rock plate" I can feel every rock I land on. It took me about 10 miles but I started to get use to the "natural feel" or low cushion. My recommendations are to make a shoe the same but add more cushion and a much better "rock plate". All in all I would buy again!

I'd been wanting to try out Topos after my podiatrist recommended them and I was stoked to find a pair on sale and advertised as waterproof. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend the Terraventure 4 WP as a waterproof shoe. After several day hikes in moderate rain, every time about halfway through the day, the tip of the shoes and my socks and my toes are wet. This is my first time using both a Topo & eVent product so I'm not sure if mine is a typical experience. I love most everything else about the shoes, especially the wide toe box and the arch support is fantastic. If these kept my feet drier, they would be a five star shoe and I'd be telling everyone about em!

I bought them for light tail/ hiking. I love them so much and they are so comfortable that they are now my everyday shoes. I had my first case of plantar fasciitis. Switched to these shoes and haven't had an issue since.

It seems to me that the WP material inside the shoe makes it feel just very slightly smaller.

These are by far the most comfortable shoes I have. The cushioning is great as is the wide toe box. I really don't like taking them off!

Just got back from a 260km trek - the Camino Portugues in these Topos, which I bought for the trip but also because they're a great winter shoe and good for cycling. They help up very well, they still look like new. Grip was excellent, the lugs are all looking like new. These Topos are super-comfortable and a good balance between cushioning and stability. The waterproofing was good for puddles and showers but after several days of solid rain, yes they were soaked through but so was everything and everybody else, including my Gore-Pro Arc'teryx jacket. I wore Injinji toe socks most days and those worked fine even when the shoe was totally wet, but it never got squelchy like a lot of shoes would. I have no reservations at all about these shoes or their incredible build quality.

Bought these shoes for a pending 3 week trip to France. I had been dealing with Plantar fasciitis in my left foot and was quite painful even with the doctor provided in shoe heel pads. I have no heel pain with my my new Topo's without heel cushions. #sweepstakes

I got the waterproof pair for hiking in Glacier, Yellowstone and the Tetons. The large toe box made my feet feel great, we did 7-11 miles a day with zero foot pain and my feet stayed totally dry. I'm hooked on TOPO shoes for good! I appreciate the opportunity to win the #sweepstakes. Keep up the good work on your products.

I've been trail running for 17 years and have tried a lot of trail running shoes. The Terraventure 4 WP is 100% the best trail running shoe I've worn thus far. eVent WP lining doesn't run hot at all (I trail run in San Antonio in the summer). Monster wet grip on rocks. Sizing is true. Best roomy toe box for forefoot runners (the best way to run). 10/10.

I just returned from a section on the PCT in Washington and my new Topo's were so awesome and comfortable. My feet never felt wet or cold. The support was everything I was hoping for. I only ordered one size bigger for a roomy fit. My last pair of Topo's lasted for 2 years and that was hiking on the PCT putting them through everything imaginable. I will always trust these shoes for the best performance and will purchase anything that is new in the future. Topo's is my choice of shoes and I will stand by them.

I wore these for our Hawaiian hiking trip and it rained almost everyday. By day three the trail was a running creek, but my feet stayed dry! Didn't slip a single time in my Terraventure 4s. These are my new go to hiking shoes!

This shoe is fantastic. It's extremely comfortable, fits very securely, has plenty of toe room, and keeps the feet and toes nice and toasty in the winter. The waterproofing seems better than any waterproof shoe I've ever had. The shoe is a tad bit stiff, but in a very comfortable way. A great waterproof, protective, warm, and comfortable trail shoe/hiking shoe at last.

Combined with the Topo gaiter, I've been able to handle six inches of fresh powder or six inch deep mud with no problem in this shoe. The Vibram MegaGrip outsole just chews up wet rock, mud, snow, and ice. The rock plate and low stack height makes the shoe ideal for rocky, technical terrain. Feels really comfortable and responsive underfoot. Like all WP shoes, a little stiff and noticeably heavier at first but the first time I was out in twenty degree temps with forty mph wind in shin deep snow I really appreciated how warm and well-protected from the elements I felt. Like the monster truck of shoes! You can go hard no matter how bad the conditions. Definitely recommend if you like to run in nasty weather.

I use them for work, I'm on concrete and asphalt and in the weather, the water proof and traction details are amazing. This is what I was looking for a hiking boot shoe that I can also run in. This shoe offers me exactly what I need.
