Ths is my 8th different style of shoe by Merrell and as always it did not disappoint! These shoes are great; lots of comfort and support. I ordered my "usual" size and they fit perfectly. I have bad feet and stand all day at my job. Merrell is the only brand I can wear that doesn't leave me crying at the end of the day.

I have owned and loved a lot Merrell footwear, from hiking boots all the way to runners and slip ons, and this Alpine style caught my eye right away. The retro look and the thick useful treaded sole are a perfect balance of style and function to wear casually or to walk a trail. I am flat footed and had some initial problems with the height of the arch support, but after a short break in period, that discomfort lessoned.

These are awesome shoes. They run just a pinch large. I think a half size smaller would be too small.

Very good support for being on one's feet all day. Walking is cushioned by the way the sole works. Merrill rarely fails my expectations.

I needed a shoe for every day wear that I could trust would be cozy, and not shred my feet after a long day. My job requires me to be on my feet a lot. I decided to go with Merrell, because I like the trail shoes I purchased from them, and also like the design of these. I bought the black pair, and the colors online are accurate. Last, I read in advance several reviews suggesting to get the next size up, and that worked out really well. I've discovered that about tennis shoes in general.

I love Merrell shoes. I have owned quite a few of their shoes and sandals and these shoes do not disappoint. I got the black pair, so I can wear them with almost anything. They are so comfortable!

Love these! Super cute and super comfortable. I found them true to size and wide enough for my wide feet.

The Alpine Sneaker is exactly the comfortable, functional, retro hip sneaker I was looking for. Felt great right out of the box, good for everything from exploring museums to dinner out to biking to an impromptu hike in the woods. Supportive, stable, good traction.

LOVE these shoes! I had been looking for a comfortable and stylish sneaker and these deliver! Wore them for a 12 hour on my feet the whole time work day and was pleasantly surprised with how well they supported my feet throughout the day.

Great comfortable shoes with a very good support foot bed. The size I ordered fits perfectly with the socks I usually wear. They are also very cute on. Highly recommend for casual and trail walking.

Suprisingly supportive in the ankles for a non-boot fit! Very comfortable on my flat arches

These are nice and cushy. I usually have to size up for athletic shoes but had to send the first pair back and go down a half size. Nice style too.

The soles feel stiff and there is not much arch support or support surrounding the foot.

I love how these shoes look and feel if I’m out running errands or just being social! They’re great for short walks, just not enough support and cushioning for long walks or being on your feet all day.

These were SO squeaky on my laminate floor out of the box that I immediately threw them back in the box. Too bad - so cute. But I pulled them out again after I couldn’t find another shoe that looked similar. I went for a short walk and when I got home the squeak was gone. Yay! Stylish and comfy. Not quite as comfortable as my all-time favorite Solomon trail runner, but VERY close and much cuter. A 4.5 on comfort. I’m very pleased now that they’re silent. Looking forward to wearing these everywhere.

This is my third or fourth pair of the alpine sneakers. I wear them for work, as i walk in multiple different terrains throughout the day. Normally they are very comfortable right out of the box. This pair seem to rub on my little toes more than the others have, thats why im only giving 4 stars. The hold up for about a year of everyday wear.

I sent these shoes back because they didn't fit me & most Merrell shoes do. They are a nice shoe.

I have had these shoes for a few weeks-- they were initially squeaky, but that went away after about two days, so it is a non-issue. They are just starting to feel comfortable, so there definitely is a breaking-in period. The laces need to be tightened quite a bit, but less so now than when I first got them. My foot is starting to "fit." I like the grippy soles and good quality. A little on the heavy side, but they have a feel that they will last a long time.

Fit is excellent as usual, but the sole squeaks loudly on hard floors.

They are very comfortable but the soles are a little slick - don't provide the expected traction.

Bought my sneaks for a trip that started in Paris, include Lithuanian countrydide and 5 days in Vilnius and ended in Hertfordshire, England, with the possibility of an excursion into London. Needed comfort and support above all and got that, especially on cobblestones and Vilnius' streets paved with, well, really huge cobbles. More like big, round rocks. The took on all terrains although rainy granite pavements were a little slick and slipping was a worry.

I love the look of my Alpine sneakers. This is my second pair. I do need insert, though, for my plantar fasciitis.
