I've been waiting for you, Paradigm Wide! I'm not a runner but a senior lady with horrible feet from years of business high heels.resulting in crossover toes, bunions, daily pain plus RA and osteoarthritis. Long story short, I need a wide fit, cushioning and stability. I have recently tried over 40 brands of "arthritis designed shoes"I love Altra, been wearing them since the Torin 2.5 when I had fairly normal feet. My Torin Luxes are the only Altras I can get in to these days.until Paradigm Wide just came out. They felt too big initially; the volume is unreal! I do use different insoles and added thicker socks to address the volume issues. I may try a 1/2 size smaller just to get a fair comparison. For days when the swelling is more than normal, the larger amount of volume will be most helpful. The wide size only comes in blue (my least favorite color), but when I find something that helps the incredible pain, it could be bright orange or green and I'll wear it! Thanks, Altra, for shoes that address a growing segment of the population with these issues.

I love these shoes! The toe box is wide enough to allow room for my feet but narrow on the heel like I need them to be. The white isn’t bright white and I really like that. Ordered a half size up because my toes are just at that point that I think these would start to bother me when I’m walking.

I have heel spurs and have bought other orthopedic shoes in the same price range. Was having aweful heel pain on scale from 1-10 it was 100 and facing surgery. Wore the new shoes for a week and my heel pain is a 1. I think I will put off the surgery!!!!

I made the switch Altra and the Paradigm 6 and loved the shoe so much that I stocked up on several pairs since I am a daily runner who after decades of running developed various foot issues. I was so disappointed when I got these Paradigm 7's which, as so many others have noted, are way too firm and hard in the midsole. Why did you change the perfect running shoe and what will you do to address this intolerable firmness and loss of cushion which had been present in the 6's?

I wear these shoes to work and they are amazing. They are comfy and definitely a cute shoe. Super light weight and the support is great!

I am not a runner and not an avid walker, just someone with low back issues looking for good shoes that may help. I have worn these shoes everyday for about 3 months. I wear them to work, on walks, and around town running errands. I have a bunion on one foot. These shoes have helped relieve my low back issues, are comfortable in any activity I do, and have enough room for my bunion while still providing support. I have very high arches and the guide rail acts as an additional arch support, which I love. I like them so much that I'm probably going to buy them in a few colors.

I have both the Paradigm 7 and Paradigm 6. I got the HOPE colorway and love it because I dislike white sidewalls that show dirt. Please make more dark colored sidewalls.
These may be a tad firmer than the v6 but I don't mind a little firmer ride.
As for toe box width, look, some of us do not have wide feet throughout. We have lower volume feet, but just want a wider toe box. They don't have to be clown shoe wide in order to accomplish that.
I had the provision 6 and they were clown shoe wide toe box, so much so that I had "wrinkling" across the whole fabric going over the top of my foot.
We need to have shoes if we have narrower feet, lower volume feet, but just want a wider toe box than every other manufacturer makes out there.
SO I was not upset that these are not clown like........they look better and work fine for me and many others I'm sure.
I cannot wear Lone Peaks or anything in the original footbed, nor can I buy wide shoes in general.
These ran true to size for me.

I ran in the 6's for about 2 years. They were perfect. These 7's are not as comfortable, they are stiff on comparison to the 6 and makes running feel clumsy. And my heel rubs inside. They are fine but not as enjoyable to run or walk in. I am hoping the next version is more like the 6's.

This would have been my third pair. Unfortunately Altra changed with toe box on this style. If you love the Paradigm 6 toe box the new toe box is more narrow and not suited to anyone who needs a wide toe box. Hope they change it and go back to the old toe box. There are many brand shoes with narrow toe boxes but not many with wide toe box!

I have been running in Altras for the past 5 years - the thing I love the most about them is that I can literally take them out of the box and run 5 miles without any blisters or sore spots. I love Altras. This pair felt really flat, as if any cushioning in the footbed had been flattened out. I tried them on the treadmill for a couple of short runs and hated them. This is not the Altra that I'm used to.

I've had 3 back surgeries and have a high arch. Finding a shoe to provide the guidance and comfort can be difficult. I'm very satisfied with the fit and comfort of the paradigm 7, my fit is a 10 wide.

Roomy toe box width wise as described, though the toe box is a little shallow, meaning depending on the shape of your toes, the tops of them might hit the top of the toe box. The soft mesh material does help with this. If you're a walker, they're probably fine, but if you're a runner, I can see where that might be a concern. Overall, this is a very comfortable shoe for daily wear.

Been running in Altras for years, road and trail, and many of the new iterations of my favorite models have not been good -- primarily regarding tongue length, stiffness, cutting(Torin/Timp), stiff high ankle(Torin 7). The paradigm 6 worked well (stack height a bit much) and I appreciated Kara Goucher's input on this model in general. As a fan of the old Torins (through Plush 4), the Paradigm 7 feels closest to that positive Altra experience -- soft tongue, footbed, heel lock, decent toe splay and have not checked specs but stack height seems a bit lower which I like. This is not a speed shoe but very comfortable trainer for short and long runs and I hope Altra doesn't change it!

After my podiatrist recommended Altra for the wide toe box and zero drop, I bought a pair of Paradigm 7's. They're very cushy and comfortable and have really helped alleviate my foot pain issues. I'm on my third pair- love the grey. Keep making new colors please!

I used to run about 22 years, had a knee replacement surgery. Walk now. Suffered from falling down from Freezing Rain in last February. Had a Pervis Fracture could not exercise for 6 months. I have tried another top brand shoes but gets worn out too soon. I have been wearing Paradigm from 9/1/2024 that I ordered on sale. Paradigm is very comfortable and does not seem to wear out too quickly. I will definitely buy another pair on Black Friday. Thank you for giving me a very fast shipping on my Labor Day sale order.

I followed the suggestions to order one half size larger than I normally wear and these are perfect. Because of several issues, I like a lot of room in my toe box in terms of width and height. My toes are free to wiggle while the arch and heel are secure with no slipping. It feels like I am both supported and free all at the same time. As soon as they get more colors in my size back in stock, I'll order more.

I use these shoes for walking and standing all day at work. I LOVE the roomy feel around the toes. I wear wide and rarely get to experience this nice roomy feel. I tried these before I tried the torin 7 in wide. I def like these better bc the torins feel too tight around my toes. I really wish that altra would include more models with wide options. Most models are simply too tight unless I size up and then they are too long. But these shoes are great even without the inches of cushion. My feet feel great at the end of the day

These shoes are exactly what I was looking for. They're very comfortable and my wide feet have plenty of room to wiggle my toes. These shoes offer great stability. I love the soft, subtle color.

I have purchased the paradigm model multiple times and have not been let down. They are durable, comfortable and literally the best shoe I've owned. I have multiple Altra models and paradigm is by far the greatest model. So very pleased with the shoe and cannot wait to put them to some good use and get another pair!

I've been wearing this pair of Women's Paradigm 7 for work as I need to be on my feet all day with a lot of walking and moderately fast paced running back and forth. They feel comfortable and my feet were not tired out by the end of the workday. I also used it to go for a few runs through the last 2 weeks and they are great to run in. I like the easy to wear feeling and how lightweight they are. Great design too!

Women's Paradigm 7 shoes are the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. The cushioning throughout the shoe offers spring reaction when pushing off for every step of your run. The wide toe box offered plenty of space for my foot to feel super comfortable, but very secure as well. This shoe offered balance throughout the shoe and didn't lose any degree of comfort throughout my run.
