Very soft and warm. Also very stylish if you have an awesome bod like mine. It's as I imagined.

I brought this 2 weeks ago, was expecting it to more of mid layer with T shirt underneath, As i own the Rhio Lt so was wanting to wear this over the top, but clearly a thick base layer, as you will struggle to wear anything underneath, but that saying, feels great against the skin. Needs to be cold or you will overheat in this top, I absolutely love the cut, as i'm small, but stocky build, but some may not like the tight fit and find a bit restrictive. Goes great with an arcteryx Gillet. Its defo a 5 stars from me and ill be buying a few in different colours to help with harsh brecon beacons weather

A little about me 1.75m (5ft 9in) tall and weigh 73kg (161lb). My chest measures 108cm (42.5in) and waist 84cm (33in) with an athletic build normally a size medium in Arc'. I got a medium in the Rho Heavyweight and it fits very well indeed. Close enough to wear as a baselayer if needed but loose enough for me to wear it for my preference as a mid-layer fleece over a Phase long-sleeve base. The directional wicking and performance stretch of Power Stretch is just excellent for the wet conditions prevalent in the UK. In winter I can wear this alone with a shell on walk-ins or together with a Proton FL in colder conditions. I have two colourways - Multiverse and Phenom - they look cool as part of a layering system!

A fine baselayer, and you can even fit a thinner layer underneath. The zip is smooth

I bought this a few weeks ago and it was money well spent! Bought it just before a ski trip, and it did not let me down. It is a super warm and comfy fleece, and the stretchy fabric allows for great mobility. Highly recommend!

Fantastic heavy weight base layer that can be worn as a standalone. Wore mine while trekking to the Refuge at Illiniza Norte in Ecuador as we had nice weather. Once at the refuge the weather turned a bit colder and windy so put on my Alpja SV and was good to climb for the summit. Excellent piece of kit.. I'm going to get another colour!

I've been wearing this for about three months now, and it's quickly become one of my favorite layers to have on in a variety of conditions. It isn't baggy which makes it easy to add layers on over it, but I can still comfortably fit a wool base layer on underneath for cold days. I've liked it most as a standalone layer while bouldering since I can be active in it without being too hot, and easily put on a warmer layer over if I'll be staying still for longer. On a November climbing trip to Bishop, CA, I ended up wearing this every day while sleeping, climbing, and hiking. While I haven't torn the material on rock, if I was spending a day scratching against rocks I'd probably wear a different outer layer since this fleece might not stand up to extended use on granite. Overall, I've been very happy with this Rho Heavyweight and have been surprised with how often I reach for it on days outside.

Warm and light weight. Perfect for hiking or an under layer for skiing.

I bought this one in Black Sapphire, after giving up waiting for the Kyanite jacket to get restocked (come on folks get that supply-chain in order). I am very pleased with the quality, cut and material of the Rho. It's the material that makes this top incredible. Polartec power stretch feels so good that it doesn't really feel like you are wearing a top rather it's more like you are coated in a layer of soft fleece that moves seamlessly with the flow of the body (sounds like ad copy but only way I can describe it). As a result, there is minimal need to use too much articulation in the tailoring (think Delta Jacket which is very cool). I sized up to an XL so I have more of a leaner look rather than looking like a "gym-bro" with a size L. Couple comments to close, if Arc made a Delta Jacket with all the panels and articulation (and pockets) in this material it would absolutely crush the fleece jacket segment. Lastly, I feel this top is a bit of a hidden gem tucked away in the base layer aisle. If this was in the fleece section (and had regular sizing) it would be perpetually sold out like jacket.

Great fabric for intended outdoor use on a ski hill. Went by the sizing guide for 6'3", 210 lbs and arm length, but a large was too small. Returning and getting an XL.

I've had this a year now and it's my favorite piece. I wear it as a top with jeans it's so comfortable and looks great. I also wear it hiking. I recommend wearing a very light merino t- shirt underneath it protects the garment from underarm perspiration. Please bring back the Multiverse color ( Purple). That's the reason I bought it in the first place.

Super comfortable feel. Though the product is meant to be "close to the skin" as a base layer, I opted to go up an extra size so that it would also be used as a stand alone mid layer

It's so warm, but not too thick to the point at which it is restricting. It is super flexible/form-fitting, but in the right places.

I bought this for my brother since he's always cold. These baselayers are the best. Great for extremely cold areas and you can still dump heat by unzipping. Love polartec. Looks great even after more than 2 dozen washes.

I'm 6'3" and 215 with a slim tending toward athletic build and I love the fit of the large. It offers me full range of movement in a variety of activities while providing warmth and an attractive garment.

I bought this a little while ago and I have fallen in love with it. The Medium size is form fitting for my 145lbs frame and 32inch waist line. The material is so warm and soft on the skin. This is great as a base layer or as a stand alone piece to be worn out on the trail or town.

Update: Yukon/mustard colour (mar 24) is longer, thinner, stretchier and has longer sleeves than the others green one (Dec 23). Both size S Would recommend green/pytheas, would not recommend Yukon personally. Updated with photos.

Yukon/mustard colour is larger than the green one, is a thinner material and is much stretchier, making for a poorer, less snug fit. Updating with photos showing Yukon (mar 24) with longer length and sleeves than green (Dec 23), both size small.

Bought the green one in December 23 and it's nice and thick, reasonably warm, smooth to the touch and fits quite snugly. Great purchase. Really lvoed it so just bought the mustard one (Mar 24) and it's much... floppier? While the material is super soft, it's not quite as warm and thick, and isn't as stiff (so the collar flops down and the sleeves aren't as snug). Not quite sure why this is the case, but I'm much less happy with the mustard than the green one. Will ask Arc and see if there's been a design change in the last month or so. 5* for the green (Dec 23) 3.5* for the mustard (Mar 24) Averaged at 4*
