This jacket is great for cold to colder weather, I've used it when I take off my snow gear getting around Colorado this season. It has great comfort and warmth. I think the viable range of temps is subfreezing and maybe around 60? Either way, broad temperature range to be able to wear this. I love the pockets for the hands, very soft, the phone pocket and the drop pocket. Its a little different set up than most but I love it. Also, the look is styligh imo. I'm about 185 and the medium is a good fit.

I already own a Radsten Parka and Atom LT and really wanted a jacket that could fit in weathers and temperatures between the two (Spring, autumn and early winter). This jacket feels like it can do it all, it's like an enhanced hybrid between an Atom LT (appreciate this jacket has 20g more Coreloft) and Beta Jacket shell (2 layer Gore Tex).It feels versatile and capable and should prove to be comfortable and functional without the need to layer and I think these benefits justify the price. It does fit a bit more roomy than my Radsten (XL) but you can at least cinch the bottom. Looking forward to using this.

This is not a super warm jacket. But it is ideal for Ontario, Quebec and Maritime winters. For those sloppy, wet snow days. Impervious to rain, sleet and wind. I'm 5'9 athletic build and the Large fits perfectly. Previous ArcTeryx jackets always pinched me in the armpits but the Ralle is roomier without being bulky. Perfect length too. I love the minimalist features. No pit zips and the hood fits my head snugly unlike the massive hoods for helmets. ArcTeryx nailed it. I can't think of one thing to change. I love this jacket.

I recently purchased this Ralle Insulated Jacket and love it. This jacket provides more than enough warmth while keeping out the rain and giving a great sleek look. I get a lot of compliments while wearing this jacket. Well done Arc'Teryx, you nailed it with this one!
Fitting:
I am 6 foot with broad shoulders and an athletic-ish build and the Large fits great. I can layer with the Rethel hoody for a decent fit with extra warmth, but a t-shirt or the RHO baselayer makes for a much better fit. The Ralle is more relaxed fitting than the Beta insulated, which was tight in my armpits with a t-shirt.
Hope this helps...

Bought this jacket two weeks ago and it is fantastic! Keeps me warm in the cold weather and the Gore-Tex makes it suitable for all conditions, could not recommend more!

Great urban rain jacket for Seattle / PNW weather. With just a tshirt on underneath, warm enough for mid 30s to mid 50s weather (I run hot). Gore-tex has been rain proof. I also tried the Beta Insulated Jacket and chose the Ralle because the side pockets on the Ralle are better to put your hands in and stay dry when it's raining, and the elastic sleeves on the Ralle are a lot simpler to throw on the jacket and go vs having to adjust the Beta Insulated's velcro sleeves.

Recently picked up this jacket. The fit is relaxed and allows for layering. Since the jacket is padded it doesn't need too much layers in a softer climate. The Gore-Tex is what you would expect from Gore-Tex. Good quality and stylish jacket if you're into a more straight and relaxed tech wear kind of style.

I'm wearing this in the Pacific Northwest. This winter, it has been mild and has been between 6C ad 13C. This jacket is great for that. I'm wearing it for just some walking and nothing high output so I have no overheated. One gripe I do have is that the zipper gets caught on the inner lining quite often and I'm having to have to rip the lining out of the zipper when zipping it up. Other than that, It's quite a nice piece.

Ordered this after consulting the customer service. Not regretting my purchase at all as this jacket has a great quality. Waterproof, windproof and offers great warmth. One might even say it's a tad bit too warm to wear during fall. Sizing wise, it fits perfectly. However, the collar comes up a bit too high which makes you keep your neck in an upstraight position which will eventually become uncomfortable.

It is a nice jacket, I would give it 4 star if it is cheaper. For this price, especially as an insulated winter jacket, it is not warm enough. It is kind of too thin.

The jacket I received is counterfeit. It came with Arc’teryx price tag but in completely different material. There was also a pair of old and worn out pants misplaced in the package… Not sure what happened with Zappos. I returned the package two weeks ago and still have not received refund.

I purchased this jacket a few months ago during the Summer. The zipper is terrible!!! The zipper gets caught constantly. The teeth on the zipper broke as a result of the zipper problem. Arcteryx wants me to ship it back for repairs which will take 4-6 weeks. It's the middle of winter. Am I supposed to buy another coat while this one is being repaired. Stay away from this headache.

Each time I use the zipper it gets caught on both sides making the jacket unwearable and very frustrating. There is a design flaw with the length of material beside each side of the zipper. I don't recommend the jacket. Expected better from a high quality product.

I live in the rainiest and windiest place in the world, on the north coast of BC in Canada. We receive 180 inches of rainfall annually and wind speeds in excess of 100 km/hr are the norm. I was exceedingly disappointed in this jacket wearing it for the first time in high winds and driving rain when I discovered to my horror that the hood cannot be adjusted so that it does not blow off one's head. There are no side cinches to tighten it securely. Adjustment is only available via a cinch inconveniently located on the back of the hood that only succeeds in pulling the top front of the hood and the visor backward over the head, thereby rendering the visor useless and exposing one's face and forehead to the elements. All of my other arcteryx jackets have been wonderful, but this one is a sad and
sorrowful fail - especially at this price.
