The boot is comfortable, but for some strange reason the right boot squeaks when I take a step. As soon as you put press on the right boot and pick up my foot, SQUEAKING! It's weird.

This is my 3rd pair (2nd style) of Sorel boots and I can officially say that I’m a fan of the brand. I’ve completed a full day in these Chore boots and they’re warm, very comfortable and very stylish. I’m also very picky when it comes to comfort as I’m dealing with plantar fasciitis. I highly recommend these boots! I wear a 11.5 sneaker and these are true to size.

Incredible boot - instantly comfortable, sized perfectly. One of the eye hooks came off on the third wear, I contacted support but they were not able to help me - but I just purchased a hook online and installed it myself - instant fix and now I feel like a cobbler! But truly an amazing boot from an amazing company.

These boots look and feel great to wear. Casual and still a bit dressy at the same timeThey are great to wear out to dinner and also out in the rain and snow. The only fault is on the sole of the boot where the SOREL logo is in a dipped white rubber over the other part of the sole. I've only had the boots a few months with very little wear and the white rubber of the logo is peeling off of one of the soles. I know it's a small thing but it really diminishes the overall look and feel of these nice boots. Especially when out and you happen to cross your legs or have your feet up on an ottoman. Picky sure. But it just is a bummer that it's that way. Otherwise a really nice boot.

My sorel boots were great until they split at the heel. They y didn't hold up for very long even just for everyday office wear in inclement weather. Disappointed that they would advertise these as long lasting when they didn't even last 2 years under pretty lax conditions.

I previously ordered the tan version of this for everyday wear and the fit was consistent and very comfortable. This "spice" red version, fits much the same. Arch support is pretty minimal, so I easily swapped the SOREL insole for an orthopedic version with good result. I have had the habit of using my older worn-out footwear to perform my outdoors work around the house. 2-3 hours or yardwork leaves my feet and ankles aching and my footwear covered in grass and dirt. Since the red version was offered at a $30 discount and the style had proved to be comfortable and supportive, I splurged for new work boots. It sorely pains me to mess up a new pair of footwear, but frankly, this red version was fugly to begin with. The yellow laces and whitish soles against the brick red leather embody an unflattering Ronald McDonald clown shoe vibe to the boots...no doubt leading to their price reduction. However, that works in my favor for using these in my yardwork chores. No worries of ruining the looks. The leather has a glove-like stretch to it which hugs the foot. It also makes the laced upper feel less rigid and more forgiving during angled movement. Too early to report on their ruggedness, but I'm happy to have a discounted and supportive work boot for a change.

I bought these because I had previously purchased a pair of Sorel Madson 6" WP 2 Boots that I loved (no longer made). I love these new Sorel Madson Chore boots almost as much as my last pair. They are very comfortable and I can easily wear them all day without my feet hurting. I wear a size 14 in most athletic shoes but the men's 13 fits me perfectly. If I could I would buy the same boot in the two other optional colors.

Those who are half size, size down. I have worn these with thin and thick pairs of socks and fit just right. The dark brown, suede-like material, cap toe appearance makes the boot look professional that you can dress up or down. The boots are very comfortable. Also, I've worn these through puddles and rain and the waterproofing is superb.

This is a dress boot but would not serve well as a chore boot in my opinion. The sole has foam in it and the base of the sole where a person could jump on a shovel has leather over it. The extra leather on the toe portion would not give much protection. I would not want to do real work or run a chainsaw in these boots. I think the full grain leather is good, I just think a chore boot should have a heavy duty sole (preferably a steel shank)and toe protection is good.

The boots are really comfortable and look to be well constructed. The fit is true as well. My only concern was they are lighter in color than the picture. I used shoe polish to darken them up a little. We will see

The boot oddly restricted the movement of the back of the ankle, causing your heel and your lower ankle to feel stiff and sore. Otherwise comfortable.

It is a nice boot for foul city weather and comfortable underfoot. Unfortunately, they fail to cover the top of the heel cup leaving a thin, hard plastic ridge that on a long walk scrapes through your sock and removes the skin from your heel leaving a nasty and painful wound. I hope a trip to the cobbler who can add a leather membrane will fix it. But you are left to wonder who and anyone would make a boot that has a jagged ridge on the heel.

Good looking boots with strong features for winter use: waterproof (tested via slush in parking lots), stable and grippy traction (snow & ice), and as warm as your sock choice provides - no additional insulation.

I just bought a pair of these boots in Velvet Tan / Gum color in size 10.5 I have 5 year old pair of waterproof Sorel boots which are fantastic. I use them for my motorcycle rides and traveling. They hold very well and the look is just awesome. I get compliments from a lot of people. The Men's madson Chore boot pictures and the design are a scam. The actual boot doesn't look anything like the picture. Absolute scam. Don't fall for it. The quality and color are not the same as the picture. And to add to it, the idiot who put a cap toe on it, made it look worse. This guy wants to ruin Sorel's business for sure. I waited long to get my second pair of Sorel boots and this is a disappointment. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
