I was hoping for a lightweight, comfortable, waterproof shoe for walking on a trip to Alaska. Disappointed - shoe hurt the big toe joint of my left foot, I had to return. Odd, because I have a bunion on that joint of my right big toe and that felt fine. Very different fit from my comfortable Hoka Bondi 7 shoes.
I'd also recommend:

Wednesday I walked 15 miles, Thursday I walked 11 and today I walked 13 My low arches are hurting more and more every day day which is something I've never experienced from a shoe, usually it's the back of my heels. I bought these to replace my Anacapa's and I'm hoping things get better. But so far the most expressive things is that the were shipped and arrived literally 24 hrs after purchasing!

The last pair of HOKA BLACK Gore-Tex tennis shoes tag said 10.5 and they are smaller and to tight vs other shoes I have purchased from HOKA. I would like the same shoe that is truly 10.5 like the others i have purchased. The tag 10.5 in this last shoe must have been wrong.

They were comfortable to stand in but the rocker sole wasn't for me. Walking up and down the stairs in my house made my calves feel strange and I read reviews from other runners who said calf pain remained an issue on runs, so I didn't want to risk it

Was looking for a waterproof tenny for travel. Tried the online sizing tool told me to order same size as my Brooks. They are too big, sent back. Will spray my trusty Brooks w/ waterproofing and call it good.

They were OK. They just fit a little weirdly and the arch support started bothering my foot. I also didn’t like that the heel seemed to sit lower than the forefoot. Noticed that bothered my leg muscles.

The shoe is not as comfortable as my first pair is, the first thing I noticed is how much cheaper it was made, had me wondering if I got a knock off, especially since it came from a company name Other than HOKA, I assumed it would have been shipped directly from HOKA. Not as comfortable at the end of the day, but better than other brands. My first pair I bought at a local store are amazing so I still believe in the company and refer others to try them, just not this style. I should have sent back but I wanted to give them an honest try.

The fit and size was true to the usual Clifton style. However, in the last two iterations of the regular Clifton they finally got the squeaking with orthotics under control and I was so pleased. All the baby powder in the world did not help before that. Perhaps due to the different waterproof materials in THIS model , I immediately noticed that these squeaked. Loud. Noise cancelling headphones loud. I thought, well I'm just going to hope that the regular Cliftons won't squeak on me again and I'll go back to those. Have to return. If you are using store bought sports inserts or the liner than comes with it you'll probably be fine. For some reason the ones from the doctor just didn't play well with the surface of these.
I'd also recommend:
Birkenstock, Naot, On-running, Doc Martens, Dromedaris

Fit not as comfortable as Clifton 9. Toe box felt tight and I have narrow feet.

I have plantar fasciitis, and I bought it to walk because of the technology, but I felt pain after the walk. I don't know if this one is right for the condition. I would like you to recommend any other for this condition, or if this one is not good for that. Thanks for your attention

I ordered my typical size in Clifton 9s (have purchased before), but for whatever reason, the GTX version feels huge. will have to exchange.

I've been wearing the shoes indoors because I'm not certain about the fit. They are not uncomfortable, but neither are they as comfortable as I expected. I see that there is an all gender version of this shoe, and wonder whether that would be more comfortable.

Love my Clifton 9's, great support and comfort for my back, new hip, and knees. I wear them every day for walking, shopping, even in the house. The Clifton 9 gtx isn't as comfortable to wear. I won't buy another pair.

They are great for running when it is wet out but the insoles I have to wear sit a little high in the heel which causes it slide more than I like. I also have repeatedly gotten bruises on the dops of my feets although I have tried tieing them a few ways.

I got these because I deliver mail and walk 4-8 miles a day and I walk through wet grass. I avoid puddles/standing water and my feet still get wet with these I'm really disappointed and the soul is starting to come off and I just got these 9/21/23.

First time with this model and I'm a little disappointed to be honest. I've worn out about 4 pair of Bondi in the last 3 years (avid walker, not a runner) and hoped these would save my normally soggy winter feet (I live in the PNW). The cushioning isn't nearly as good as Bondi, but my primary beef is the sewn tongue that doesn't have any give to get my high arch, high volume foot inside easily. Fixing the tongue makes the shoe more resistant to water, but without some elastic, it also hinders getting the shoe on and off. I kept them, but I won't choose them again.

Love Hokas and have become a bit of an addict but the new Gortex Clifton, whilst great, is a little loose on the ankle.

These have a different fit than the regular Clifton 9. I need to order a size up.

I had such high hopes for these shoes. Unfortunately the comfort level is not meeting my needs. I will try another model to see if it makes a difference.

So I really just walk around my job in them. I typically don't run unless something is chasing me. These are so dang comfortable but a piece on the bottom of the shoe is already peeling up and I only bought them about 2 weeks ago. They are still super comfortable though. I will make a claim to maybe replace them.

Stiffer than expected. Also, while I generally like a wider toe box, the front of this shoe was actually TOO roomy overall, to the point that my foot felt a bit 'insecure' and less stable.

I wanted to like this shoe very much. It's a great concept for the autumn and early winter. But even though this shoe is the same size as my other Clifton's it is very wide. My foot moves around too much inside of the shoe. I think I can make it work with a very thick sock but it's not the same fit as my usual Clifton's. The length is fine but it's a different fit for sure. Probably wouldn't buy this type of shoe again.

Great shoe but the medium width is too tight for my "neuropathy" in my feet.

I've had my shoes about a month. The bottom is coming unglued causing me to trip at work. I'm a bartender and these are solely my work shoes. I take them off after my shift and baby them at home. Love the feel, but thought at the price point they'd last more than a month. I have a big group of nurses that come in and have let them know we may need to find a better shoe.
