So many changes to this version of the Kayano. Ive been wearing Kayanos for over 15 years and theyve always been my go to. This version comes up much higher on my ankle. This new model chafed the insides of ankles leaving scabs. They make a terrible clomping sound when I run. Two of my toenails were bruised after a short four mile run. Ive taken them for several runs and tried lacing them differently each time to help with the chafing. Nothing has seemed to work. I cringe thinking about having to run in these shoes again. Ill be purchasing an older model and hoping the next version of these shoes is much improved.

Ive worn ASICS for more than 20 years. I have been disappointed with the last few iterations of the Gel-Kayano. I find them to break down easily and have an overly wide toe box. I will admit they are comfortable, but not for long. I also think ASICS could have better color choices for womens shoes.

Love these shoes for working out in walking, jogging and refit. I put to much pressure on ball of my foot and these helped with that and were supportive

I needed a shoe to help me get moving again after being sedentary and indoors for a full year. Everything hurt when I started walking again, so I decided to invest in some good shoes. Being inside for a year, I actually wasnt used to wearing shoes, and my walking was somewhat unstable. These shoes really helped me regain my balance and slowly work up to walking a normal amount. Last year I averaged 500 steps a day, now I average 5000. Its still not where I want to be but it is a whole lot better than it was. Thanks for helping me get out of the house!

Not a bad shoe, but pretty dead underfoot. I havent worn other Kayanos, so may be an unfair review, but whenever I wear this shoe it just seems hard to run (relative to other shoes I wear like the GEL Nimbus or Puma Foreverrun, which is another stability shoe). The foam gives nothing back. The shoe is heavy. And the color is very meh (I got the navy-red). All in all, wont be buying anymore Kayanos.

Very disappointed in this show and Asics' customer service response to my issue. I have been a long time wearer of Asics and found the quality quite poor compared to the Kayano 29. The fabric around the arch buckles and the laces are thin and no longer the braided style and barely long enough to tie the shoe. Most importantly, the tongue is annoyingly short and thin compared to all other Ascis I've owned. This makes it difficult to put on the shoe and when lacing the tongue is in an uncomfortable position on the top of the foot. The 30 has a thinner tongue as well. Below note the difference between the Kayano 30(dark blue) and the 29(green). Sadly, my feedback did not seem of concern to Asics.

The overall quality, durability did not meet my expectations. After approximately 25-30 days of wear the shoe started breaking down and were not longer comfortable during walks and exercise routines.

I have been buying KAYANO since the 27s came out. I buy multiple colors and have purchased back - up's of 27 28 29. I have had a sprained ankle and a difficult surgery, always wearing orthotics and these sneakers. Bought one 30 and so far very uncomfortable with or without my orthotic. The design is a big departure for those who love the KAYANO! Make a similar design like the 27 which was so sleek and add the technology. I am now trying New Balance and Andrenaline

This version 30 of the Gel-Kayano lives up to the model's reputation - comfort, stability and cushion.

My feet hurt so badly after running in these. Tried to return but they wouldnt take them back. I have been running in asics for 20 years and this was so unbelievably disappointing.

Slightly misleading colors, not as bright as the image online. The shoestrings are not my favorite because they are stretchy and seem like they are cheap and won't last long. Overall though beautiful and comfortable shoe when running. I have not done a very long distance in them, only about 1 mile per use, but so far so good. One last bad thing though, they were kind of slippery on certain treadmills and could hardly get any grip. That is my biggest concern.

I have been getting ASICS running shoes for years. My last pair was the 28 in 91/2 narrow. I ordered the new 30 and have been very disappointed. They feel real heavy and clunky. My foot slaps down in the front as I walk. The toe box is also wider than my 28s. My feet burn after the first few miles of walking. I tried to return them, but couldnt because I had already worn them outside. So disappointed, as Ive always been so pleased with ASICS in the past.

Love the change! Ive worn the Kayano for a very long time. Ran in them. Now walk in them. In recent years, though, Ive worn Brooks Ariels. A lovely shoe, but in recent years, Ive needed a shoe similar to the Hoka Bondi. Switched but the Hoka werent cutting it. Went back to Brooks. Guy at running store told me to waitAscics was coming out with a redesign of the Kayano. Itll be what the Hoka wishes it could be. He was right!! Love them!

I have walked with them 3 times (about 3 hours total). They feel very soft and squishy but not as supportive as my older pair. I like the extra large soles and think they look nice on and the teal color is gorgeous. Overall they are very nice but some stability was lost I think with the added cushioning.

These look very masculine. The sole in photos look white but they are actually grey. So the whole shoe is grey like something an elderly man would wear. Comfortable support but ugly.

ASICS missed the mark on these Kayano 30. I wore them a few days at short distances but when I finally did 3 miles the side of my feet were rubbed raw. Very painful experience.? I plan to send them back. I would have given this product a 1 star had I not liked the color.

I wear Gel Kayano at work as I often stand all day. The shoes have excellent cushioning and support, and my feet don't hurt after 8 hours of standing.
