Asics makes great shoes, but they missed with this one. The tongue has very little padding which makes the shoe uncomfortable. I hope version 13 has a padded tongue.

I have been running in the GT-2000 series exclusively since 2015. I pretty much stopped running for the past couple years, but picked it up again about 6 months ago with a new pair of GT-2000 10s. Dealt with some nagging shin issues, and I thought I may have started back too fast so I tried taking a break and coming back very slowly but the same thing happened. Then I thought maybe it was the shoes, and maybe I just needed something with more cushion now. So I went to my local running store to try out a bunch of different shoes and WOW, the GT-2000 has certainly changed. The 12 immediately felt much more cushioned than the 10, but still felt light, and the stability features are much more natural-feeling. I never would've thought that I would want a big change to a shoe I had been so loyal to for so long, but the updates have made them even more comfortable and more fun to run in. I've only taken them on a couple runs so far, but they felt great on both an easy run and a tempo run, and my shin issues were non-existent on both. Big fan of the GT-2000 12 and the updates they made.

To be so honest these shoes are great ! Better than Hokas. I had to return two pairs of Hokas before I bought these shoes and the GT-2000 have worked absolutely amazing for my feet and ankles. I have flat feet yet the shoes does miracles for my feet especially when it comes to running. Awesome find and I hope this review helps someone else looking for a comfortable running shoes and looking to buy a shoe other than Hoka shoes. Buy these instead honestly.

Great support and cushioning. Does well on long runs. I got a blister on the inside side of my foot but I'm not sure if the shoe is to blame for that.

Bought this shoe and they were shipped in a bag which resulted in the shoe box being partially crushed. Tried them on and the feel way to big. I have two pairs of the older versions of this shoe both in a 12.5. Got this shoe in a 12.5 as well. I am going to have to return them and get half a size down. Feel like I could probably get away with a whole size down. As mentioned in other reviews online, the heel counter is not as good as in the older versions, and my heel tends to slip in these no matter how tight I tie them

This is probably my tenth or so pair of the GT2000, and until now I have been very satisfied, knowing that the fit would be consistent with each model. However the toe box is smaller in the 12 model, such that I cannot wear it without significant toe pain. I am disappointed in the change, and will have to look at a different model.

Great shoe very comfortable. Wear the shoe for 13 hours a day.
