The boots were not as comfortable as the anacapa breeze. I also noticed that the boot's cushioning started to break down and the boots became very uncomfortable to wear

I was amazed by the immediate comfort of these boots when I first tried them on. I usually have to break new boots in for a few months. They even worked well with my orthotic insoles which was a plus. They have been very comfortable and keep my feet super warm even with thin sock in negative temps. I wear them for work (I work on a horse farm) but I probably only wear them about 8 hours per week. The issue I have found with them is the wear and tear after only wearing them for a year. I bought them in October of 2022. In the summer of 2023, I was on maternity leave for 3 months so I did not wear them during that time. In December of 2023 I started to notice holes and water leaking into the boots. So with roughly 12 months of wearing them, I already need to replace them. I was disappointed because I have found with other cheaper brands of hiking boots, they do not wear down as quickly and I can get more use out of them. The caveat is that other brands are not nearly as comfortable. So if you are looking for a comfortable boot, definitely try these out. If you are looking for something more durable, I'd probably pass on these.

Very comfortable, great support. Best I've found for the arthritis in my right toe.

It's too big for me. On the website size guide told me to get size 8 but I still went with my size which is 7.5, yet it is still too big. This is also too heavy for me. I walk a lot and stand a lot, this shoe doesn't help me.

I was kinda expecting a little bit more comfort because I walk quite a bit, but not sure that I can say that

I got a size 11 like I always have but it feels too small, different from the other size 11 Hokas that I've worn in the past

To Big. The Shoe itself. Feels OK inside. I keep Bumping into things. cannot get used to the Size. Feels Awful when Driving a Car. It's like I'm Wearing the Box and not the Shoe. Love Hoka's, just not this one.

These are great looking shoes and are lightweight but when you put them on it goes downhill from there fast. Bunched up baffles around the ankle made these terribly uncomfortable right out the box. 1 mile in to a walk around the farm these shoes had to come off. I like most shoes. Thumbs down on this brand twice now.

After wearing the boots for about 3 to 4 days, I started get a little blister on both the back of my feet. A bit disappointed about that, hence I hardly ever get blisters from any footwear I wear. The boot feels kind of tight, and a little loose. But it a solid shoe.

I use them for work in construction. I hope they hold up better than the first pair I bought as they only lasted six months.

Good evening: I work p/time at a golf course in selbyville de and needed a comfortable shoe that was waterproof. prior to the HOKA shoes i had olukai and LL Beans. they were very expensive as well but both got wet. i spoke to a rep with HOKA that said the Anacapa 2 GTX were fully waterproof so i purchased them. They are not fully waterproof. My socks get wet due to the sides of the shoes allowing water to penetrate. i do have pics to show the sides of the shoes absorbing the water from the wet grass.

This shoe did wonderfully as a hiker until things got wet. I spent a week with wet feet in the PNW. The grip and comfort of the shoe are fantastic. Unfortunately I would not buy this again because of the lack of breathability of the GTX combined with the lack of waterproofness, also the shoe felt narrow and would benefit from added space in the toebox as well.

3rd pair of HOLA shoes purchased. This boot runs a half size small. Ordered same size as my Clifton 9's initially. Exchange process for 1/2 size larger was quick. Unfortunately one of the side eyelets broke when lacing them for the first time. Contacted HOKA to lead turn a second exchange due to inability to initiate the second exchange on website. I was told to repurchase and work a return through that order. Not impressed unfortunately. Hopefully third time is a charm.

To be fair these are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. But I did a 50 mile hike in Peru and the shoes had a hole in them after that. I think that it's shameful to have a shoe that is branded as a hiking shoe and can't even last 50 miles. They need to have a better and more durable design.

I only had these boots for a week and wore them 3 times and the metal top hook popped out while tying the boot. As much as these boots cost the the quality should be much better. The hook shouldn't be popping out after only 3 wears.

I have 2 other pairs of Hoka shoes that are GREAT! However, this shoe lacks all of the comfortable features that make my other Hokas so great. The only way I was able to wear them at all was to add an insole and a heel pad. I was hoping for the same "walking on air" feeling that I get from my other Hokas but it is NOT there. I would NOT purchase this shoe again.

I have had this pair of shoes for under a month, not wearing them everyday, and the laces have already frayed and the outer core has separated from the inner core of the lace on both sides. I think the laces alignment guide third down from the top is to sharp. This style needs a redesign.

I broke these in over several weeks before doing a 48-50km 4 day hike in the Snowy Mountains last weekend. First day was very short, 7 ish kms. The second day was about 13km and when we arrived, I had blister generated by the strange fit of the insole that ran in a thin line all the way down the arch of my right foot. On the 3rd day, I taped that up, but it continued to rub and by the end of that day, I had a matching blister down the inside of my left foot. It was very strange and very narrow. It was disappointing because I wanted to replace my heavier hiking shoes with these, but they are simply not suitable for long distance hiking while carrying a heavy load. The fit on a day to day basis is comfortable, but the upper, cleated lacing system is hard to get right with the tongue fit. That's a minor annoyance.

I wish I could leave a 5 start review but after walking for 2 hours on wet rainy terrain, the "waterproofness" of these boots vanished. Your feet WILL get soaked.

These boots are super comfortable and makes hiking much easier on the knees and joints and my feet definitely felt less sore and tired versus wearing my Salomons. That being said, these boots have serious durability issues. My boots didnt even last me a season before I returned them. The lugs on the bottom of the boot were peeling off, and in the arech area of the boot, its not even rubber, its foam. Same with the lowers, its alllll foam that gets torn to shreds. These boots are good for easier trails and thats pretty much about it. If you are hiking anything remotely rough, fgind something with a little more durability. These boots ARE NOT worth the extremely steep price, youre paying for the brand.
