I was heart broken when my first pair of Eastland shoe soles split. Took them to be repaired and they said no can do. I'd had this pair of shoes for 12 years and they were my most comfortable winter shoes, and go with just about everything. So thought I would look on Zappos to find something similar, and was shocked Eastland still made the same style this many years later! They fit very true to size, now the hard part.. I still can't bring myself to throw my old ones away!

I am in my early 50's looking for a black shoe to wear to work (office) and with jeans that I can wear with socks on cold days. I thought this was ugly and clunky so I am sending it back. It does fit snugly around the instep which was not uncomfortable. My big toe was right up to the edge even though I ordered on the largish size (for me). I give it high marks because I can see how this could work if you are on your feet all day and wearing black inform pants. But it is just not chic enough for moi for my needs.

This is a beautiful loafer, but it is extremely narrow. I always take a B width, but this one was impossible to even get on my foot. What's the story? It just makes for an annoyed potential customer. Others have said this in their review, but unfortunately, I thought they might be too picky.

I have wide toes and narrow heels, 8-8.5 (almost always 8.5). I got the 8.5 wide. It was too long, not wide enough at the toes, heel slips out. These problems, for me, cannot be fixed by changing sizes. Clunky looking, but I was expecting that. It will work for someone.

This is my 2nd pair of Eastland shoes. I absolutely love them. Very comfortable and great support. My first pair of Eastlands are 6 yrs old and still going strong. I hope these do also.

I bought these shoes before taking a trip to England because I knew I would be doing a lot of walking. These shoes were very comfortable, I spent up to eight hours walking on cobblestone streets and my feet felt great at the end of the day. I love these shoes! And I love they way they look with jeans and pants!

Fit was better width wise than length wise and the leather looked kind of like plastic. Also sloppy trim around stitching to the sole.

This shoe looks good, but runs on the small and narrow side. I would order a half size up. The deal breaker for me is that the manufacturer decided to sew a rough fabric with the brand label right where the heel of the foot touches the bottom of the shoe inside, so wearing without socks is out as it scratches the sole of the foot with every step. Most shoes have this stamped in, not sewn in. Sad, but sending back.

These look like they're made out of plastic. I tried them on just to see how they fit, but returned them because they look so cheaply made.

I needed a 10.5, but that wasn't an option. I first tired the 11 and they were way too big. I exchanged for the 10. A little tight in the toe on the right foot, but not uncomfortable. They do rub a little underneath my lateral left ankle, but nothing that requires any attention and I haven't formed any blisters. Plus, I really haven't broken them in yet, so I don't see this is going to be an issue. My foot runs narrow and these are great. No need for insoles to tighten anything up. A nice shoe for work and they cover my feet, (which are less than attractive).

They DO need some time to break in. But once they are...how I love them.

Fabulous shoe! So comfortable I can wear them all day. Sturdy, but very soft and cushiony. I am definitely going to buy this brand again.

I bought these for my mother in law. She loves them. They are super comfortable. I wear the men's. I like them a lot. They are a good product!

My previous pair were perfect, and I wore them for four years until the sole cracked and wore out. On this order the right shoe is too short with my first two toes touching the end. The size is marked as I ordered. So sorry.

Zappos does a great service and I received my product within days. My shoes arrived safe and sound and are very comfortable. I couldn't find them anywhere in a store and was delighted when I saw that Zappos had just what I was looking for...have a great day and buy from Zappos!

I have enjoyed this Eastland style shoe for years. So comfy for my wide foot, plenty of room in the toe box. If slip on works for you, this shoe is so comfy from day one.

Great shoes and just a bit more narrow then I expected. Zappos has the fastest, best customer service of any company I have ever ordered from!

Very comfortable right out of the box. I was used to buying multiple pairs of cheap shoes trying to find something that fit. Hard to do being a size 12. Bought these and a pair of Nikes size 12 and absolutely love them and this website. Won't buy shoes anywhere else again.

I loved the shoe but had to return because it was too small. I always wear a size 12 and these were just too short.

I really like these shoes. I work in a bank, and I am on my feet for long periods. These are good for keeping my feet comfortable even though they are rather plain looking. They are dressy enough to wear to work but not sacrifice comfort. I have been wearing them for years! My only problem is that every time I go to re-order them Zappos never has them in stock, and I end up waiting for weeks. When you really need comfortable work shoes this is literally a pain. Otherwise Zappos has the BEST service around!

Great shoe. I got these ahead of a trip to New York, the city you walk and walk and walk in. I was torn between these and a pair of Born, but for the price these are amazing and I couldn't decide if I liked the pre-worn-in look of the Born. I haven't had them long to comment on long term wear, but so far the comfort and support are a thumbs up. I don't normally wear wide, but needed it in these.

This is a great shoe. Comfortable from the moment I put it on, walked for hours in them. Eastland makes a good, wearing, comfortable shoe with the Newport.

This shoe is my absolute favorite shoe. I own two pair at the moment and I am about to order another one. They look great with tights and a short skirt as well as with jeans and pants. As a matter of fact, in the winter it looks like I have boots on when I wear them with jeans or any kind of pants. These shoes make me forget my feet! I wore them to NYC on a day trip where I walked continually for 8 hours and they were totally comfortable. Some of the other reviewers commented that these shoes were "clunky" and yeah, they are sturdy, but if you look in a full length mirror with these shoes on your feet, they actually make your feet look small(ish). When I wear them with a skirt and tights, I get all sort of compliments on my outfit. I suppose they are a 3-season shoe, but even in the summer I throw them on with my khakis when I am buzzing around the house, just because they keep me comfortable.

I love these shoes! The fit perfectly and are very comfortable. Great with khakis or jeans.
