A great expedition bag for the money. I recently took my new bag to The Phillipines where I put this bag through it's paces- from waterfalls, beaches, dragging of and on boats, docks, ferry's, etc., it made it with little wear. At worst case, if at all ever needed I may recoa t the bottom with rubber if ever needed! Only recommendation I have to the manufacturer is that they really should use stainless steel strap fittings on a bag meant to get fairly wet, fairly often! However I am satisfied with this product as is, especially for the price! TY L.L.Bean

Well constructed, nice colors, lightweight. Wish they made the same bag, with the cross-body straps and zipper closure, a few inches smaller. Bought it as a gift for my elderly mother, but it's too large. The sides are flat, so its basically 22" across until you fill the bag, which makes it unwieldy. She needs a cross-body strap to evenly distribute weight so the bag doesn't pull on her shoulder and hurt her back. I though this would be perfect. It's a great bag but unfortunately was not a good fit for her.

This is a very well made bag. I bought it as a carry on for a European trip. Other people said it fits under the seat. I'm hoping it's true , but it seems very big! We shall see! But either way it's a nice size tote to be used for many things! I love it!

The LL Bean Nor'easter Tote is great for many things. I've used it for putting some extra clothes in the car. I've used it for putting some hand tools in. I've used it to put children's books and toys in!

I recently purchased this for traveling and brought in with me while flying on Southwest. I stuffed it pretty much to the brim and it fit under the seat in front of me. It did stick out a couple inches into my leg room, but not enough to be a problem. The zipper worked well and I liked the crossbody strap. I do wish it had maybe an outer pocket, but it's great to hold the LL Bean everyday lightweight tote (medium), a blanket and other odds and ends.

Great sturdy bag, perfect as an overnight bag or just when you need to call a lot at once.

I have both sizes of these. Enough fir a quick weekend jaunt

It's spacious with just enough pockets and I love the colors-burgundy, navy, and beige. I also like that the strap is adjustable and the bag isn't as heavy as it appears it would be. I love it!

Attractive bag holds a lot. Beautiful colors navy, burgandy and tan.

Very sturdy and strong; well made. A bit pricey, but quality doesn't come cheap.

I bought this for a friend of mine at Christmas and she loves it-it has the straps to carry or put on the shoulder which is what I liked about it- She was very happy with the purchase. Durable

I love my tote bag! It was everything I wanted. I carry a lot and I have plenty of room. I can carry it with the short handles or use the longer strap that you can adjust to your liking.

This bag is perfect for a dog travel bag. Large enough for a good size bag of dog food, a rolled up towel for wet days and all the grooming supplies, treats, toys, leashes, bowls, etc. The zipper top prevents my dog from getting into the food and the little pouch at the top is great for medications. I have previously purchased this bag in gray as a gift for someone as a dog travel bag and they have done nothing but rave about it so now I bought one for my own use. The personalization is beautiful and while obviously luxurious it is still practical and will probably last for the life of my dog. I think LLBean should add it to their dog items.

I thought this was an excellent bag! I returned it because I was going to use it to carry my clarinet and musical supplies to band practice. It is too narrow for my clarinet case, so it won't work for me. That being said, it is really a nice bag!

Love this bag - I have it in blue and got this one for my mom. It's a great carryall, duffle - whatever you want it for. I love adjustable the cross body strap and durability.

Nice looking bag, but it's bigger than I was looking for. I should have followed the other reviewers. I thought, based on the dimensions, it was going to be more medium sized, but it is a large tote. However, it is very attaractive and a great alternative to white.

This bag is really sharp. I ordered the navy and tan as a gift, and I like it so much that I'm buying another for myself. I chose the regular size after reading other reviews about the bag being so big. It was the right choice. It's large, but not huge, and I love the zipper top. The material is very rugged, and the waterproofing on the bottom is a nice touch.

This bag was a fabulous gift. My daughter loved the size and the elegant style so much that I think I will get a similar bag for myself!

This is a great tote bag. It has a shoulder strap and handles and it zips closed. There are additional pockets and a zippered pouch on the inside. And it's partially waterproof. Is it sexy? No. But not everything needs to be sexy.

Couldn't be happier with this tote. It's a pretty color.. more blue than gray, durable, and looks natural but classy. Size large works well for transporting a lot without the bag becoming too bulky or heavy. Even the hand straps comfortably hang over my shoulder.. not only the over-the-shoulder strap. The inside has a wax or wax-like coating that permits easy cleaning with a damp cloth. I love it and can tell it will last for years and years to come. So appreciate the craftsmanship and quality of L.L. Bean products. Thank you!
