My husband and I did a 10 day Mediterranean Cruise that was port heavy. The Ultralight Stowaway pack was perfect for us. It held our rain gear and water bottles. Light weight and comfortable to wear all day.

This bag can be stuffed to the max and still feel light weight. Only bad thing is the bottle holder, it doesn't support it as well as regular back packs.

Very lightweight and easy to carry. Fit my 15" laptop.

Lovely bag. Very well made. Loden green is a great color. It was just two small for two people to stash their medium-weight jackets. Would work best with each person having their own pack, as this one is a small size.

The backpack is lightweight ,good for day trips. I used it as a carry on for a cruise. The water bottle I used was small because the pocket won't fit large water bottles.I used a clip attached to the water bottle then attched to backpack so the bottle would stay in place better. It would be nice if the pocket was deeper.

The L.L.Bean Stowaway Ultralight Day Pack is the perfect backpack for carrying a few light things. The adjustable straps make it very comportable for all size people, I suspect. (I'm broad-shouldered male and it fits me perfectly.) I highly recommend this if you think it's what you need.

Perfect light pack for day hikes. It's light yet fits a lot.

My initial perceptions are very positive. I wanted a very light weight high performance day pack that fit close to my body and did not drop too far down my back. This seems to be designed for my needs. I have not had an opportunity to use it hiking yet. However, I have reviewed the other comments that were critical about water bottles pocket sizes, the pouch to stow it in, etc. I have no problems with any of those features.

Purchased to take on a trip where I didn't want to walk around with a backpack on in a crowded area initially. While it folds up into a small pouch, I haven't figured out a way to make that pouch not bulky, or flat. When storing it in a jacket, it creates a noticeable bump until you take it out. Otherwise you can fit a lot into the bag and shoulder straps don't dig into shoulders. I'm 6'4" and about 270 lbs, wearing a XXL jacket. I plan to add this to my saddlebag when I take weekend trips and need an extra bag.

I've had this for like 2 years. Great for travel, short hikes, and having around just in case.

Great light weight backpack, it may look small yet it's big enough to hold everything I'll need for my daily excursions. It can easily hold my raincoat and/or sweatshirt plus my small purse so that it's out of sight, yet easy to get to when needed. Some people complained about their water bottles falling out but I'm not sure why as I carry 1 all the time and it's never happened to me. Perhaps they're trying to carry those bigger bottles. Also love the zipper pockets inside to hold my ship card and passport safely. And my favorite thing is that it feels great on my back, the padded shoulder straps helps keep it in place and you can almost forget that it's even there. I love that I can also carry it in front of me when needed too. Great buy!

This daypack is the perfect size for walks and even short hikes. I really like that is stows away in a built in pocket.

Used this backpack as my day bag in Spain. It was a perfect size. Fit well to my back also. Big enough for light jacket, snacks, recent purchases etc It was not meant to substitute my big LL BEAN backpack. This backpack was, I'm venturing out for 4-6 hours what do I carry my stuff in ?

Not too big not too small, should hold the right amount for a long day hike

Great for daily walks or a hike. Made with durable zippers and outside pockets. Plenty of space inside pack for long sleeve shirt or lightweight jacket and any other essentials you may want to take along!

I purchased this for my son who went to Ecuador and Italy on school trips. It was so much better than a regular backpack because it's light but had plenty of room. Definitely worth the cost.

Great for traveling when you are sightseeing. You can drink water and also store items you might buy while traveling.

Lightweight but sturdy. Used it for a hike with my grandaughters - held water bottles, sunscreen, bug spray, first aid kit. Worked fine for that purpose.

Nice ultra lightweight pack. Good for light weight (no pun). Uncomfortable if have too much weight.

Exactly as described. It's small but substantial. It will fold into its pocket.
