This is the first Orthofeet shoe I have tried on. I am very impressed with the fit. Adding in the thicker extra sole cushion and arch support made for a great cushioned feel and fit that was wide enough at the fore foot and narrow at the heel for my hypermobile, flat feet. Well, if I think about wearing this style outside the house, it just turns me off, as it looks like a clutsy house slipper. Also, I was looking for a winter shoe, and I could not wear this knit material out in rain or snow without getting my feet wet. But wow, the comfort and fit have me on the fence.

I had ankle surgery and wear a support bandage on my Left foot. The hook & loop style is perfect so I can adjust the fit. These shoes ran large and even with thicker socks they were still too big . I wear a 5 so I was out of luck.

I ordered both a size 8 (my normal size) and 7.5. Returned the size 8, they were too big. I wore the size 7.5 around the house for a few hours. They felt very comfortable, but after a while my feet began sweating a great deal, then my feet slide around in the shoe. Returning the both sets. It is very unfortunate, as they were like wearing slippers!

I wanted something simple that I could wear with slacks to church without having to wear black athletic shoes. I ordered my normal size, 6 wide, which has plenty of room for my AFO. They would be a perfect fit if the tongue didn't come up so high on my foot and rub against my ankle when I walk. I think that's going to bother me if I have to walk very far, so for that reason I am returning them.

Very pleased with the look and feel of these shoes. The toe box is roomy enough so I can wiggle my toes, and yet they look dressy enough to wear for dressy occasions. I use AFOs so I had to remove the insert, but they are still comfortable. The velcro strap works well for putting them on and taking them off.

Loved this shoe, but my orthotic would not fit in it so I had to return it. Not the fault of the shoe!

I really like these shoes but had to return them because they were way too big - order a size smaller or half size smaller

Ok, other reviewers did not exaggerate or lie - these are ugly as sin, and scream "orthopedic shoe". However, my toes and knuckles had plenty of room and didn't touch the shoe sides at all... only concern is the heels are a bit large on me. I am not sure if they will slip too much? I will try them again a couple times and walk around the house, and see if my inserts help with the heels. I am very unsure if i am keeping them or now at this point. I was looking for good walking shoes for a trip i am taking in February. I am finding Orthofeet to have the widest and most wearable toe box shoes currently. I have multiple issues with my feet, including arthritis, bunions and a new corn which seems to have increased my foot width. I got a 8.5 double wide.
I'd also recommend:
SAS? has good reviews but skeptical of toe box width.

Quite comfy but very fabric like which I'm afraid won't hold up to the weather. Also to be honest, they're pretty ugly. Returning

As with most orthopedic shoes I've tried, I didn't feel any more support in these than I do an average shoe. Also, the top of the shoes dug into the front of my shins. The bottom of my feet and heels were sore and stiff by late morning.

I needed them to fit an AFO, which it did, but for me, the shoes felt very heavy and clumsy.
